  1. Played here and Greensboro and Atlanta often too back then. Man they stayed on the road and were the first rock concert that I went to right after this came out in the 70s. Didn't know it at the time recognized it after more exposure to YES and others... they are a progressive band! @MicroMara this one can stay up at 60db! And also at noon on the pot not a single bad tune to be found.

  4. Good evening / morning my friends. As always, when ever I am spinning vinyl over in RTM as I am now, I come here to share the latest photos. Live from Longfellow Music Hall (in brand new arrangement of the space), FOUR of us are listening to this Yes album at the same time as a 'sync' play. I am the only vinyl spinner tonight...

  6. I am pretty sure this was 1979. Next to the last one in 1980 when someone invited a reporter to the event. Lots of people you may know.

  11. I use 3 cast iron cooking items daily, 1 skillet, 1 Dutch oven, and 1 griddle. Believe it or not, if seasoned correctly, eggs will not stick. I was told Avocado oil has a higher smoke point, takes longer to burn off, but builds a nice glaze. If I do have items stick as I did tonight when I made chili, I used a little bit of salt for abrasion and a paper towel, wipe clean with a little bit of oil and heat it to where it starts to smoke. Works great every time, no rust and great tasting food. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk

  12. They used to play the mid-west a lot. Saw them in SouthBend IN. Rather surprised to see that they are still together. Brought up the latest release [to be had] on spotify... music is consistent with Masque and Leftoverture not like VanillaFudge... they went pop.

  14. @MookieStl reports that the speakers are uncovered, the fire is built and ready, the playlist is complete, and dinner is almost ready. Sounds like a great night 2 is brewing. I think he's sold on the THTLP + La Scala combo.

  17. in Northern NY-VT-Quebec , we get heat waves of 85-90 a few days of the year and most can't cope with the heat as we are used to the colder conditions - 90-100 degrees we stop working , everything shuts down , we call it a heat stroke risk situation , while it is harder to cool down and keep your body temperature within normal limits. At these times, prolonged exposure to heat, excessive physical exertion or very heavy sweating can have certain effects on health-- if you feel any of these symptoms -------call 911 Headaches Muscular cramps Swollen hands, feet and ankles Appearance of small red bumps on the skin, called a “heat rash” Unusual fatigue or exhaustion Generalized malaise Signs of dehydration: Intense thirst Less frequent need to urinate Dark urine Dry skin Rapid pulse and breathing Difficulty breathing Convulsions (stiffness of the body and jerky, involuntary muscle contractions) Signs of impaired consciousness: Confusion Unusual behaviour Agitation Hallucinations No response to stimuli Loss of consciousness Signs of heat stroke: Temperature over 39.5 ºC (103.1 ºF) with an oral thermometer or over 40 ºC (104 ºF) with a rectal thermometer Dry, red, hot skin or pale, cold skin Dizziness and vertigo Confused and illogical speech Aggressive or bizarre behaviour Generalized malaise

  18. How are you Grasshopper ----unreal , too hot , guess what --it's been heavy rain here since April , no wonder you're not getting any , it's sitting north-east - ----Hollywood productions we usually do 3 per year , for 20% of our work only , so we're doing ok -mid October should be the re-start of the movie industry for 2020 across North America - I would say 2021 should be 50% better as some stalled productions will get off the ground slowly , slowly

  31. Personally, I like Youtube recordings, despite their bandwidth limitations. In the vid I mentioned, my Sennheisers were picking up the large room reverb in the recording.

  32. Yes it has spikes, but I like it just the same. I know there are nicer all wood racks such as posted above. This ship has sailed, and it's much better than before. Can you dig it? Right now I have the 2245 hooked up, it sounds terrific!

  33. I've hit the $1,000 threshold two other times with Heresy 1's, just not on the forum, lol. Too often, guys chime in with comments that essentially crap on sales...things like prices being too close to Heresy III prices and displaying eBay sales with other forum members laughing at the price. Once again, THIS is why this forum is so incredibly annoying. Buy or don't buy, but everyone is an online appraiser behind their keyboard.

  37. What do you do if you get stung by a scorpion in Arizona? Wash the sting with soap and water and apply cool compresses, 10 minutes on and ten minutes off, to the sting area. Acetaminophen or ibuprofen may be given to treat the pain. If symptoms worsen, go to an emergency department or call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 if you are unsure what to do.Aug 5, 2016 www.azcentral.com › 2016/08/05 Ask a Doc: What to do if you're stung by a scorpion

  38. You just being mean now George. It was a pair of 1990s barely used that blew my socks off two years ago You've heard this guy haven't you? Last of what I played earlier, still like his sound after forty years I hear it twice or so a year. Jazz infused emotional funky.. I don't know what. Make out music back then a few times!

  39. I put in "The Duke", a Mark Deneen modified Crown D-45. It's 25 watts of pure bliss. Tight, solid bass, absolutely no noise and all that jazz. Debating with myself about selling my Moondogs.

  41. Speaking of cast iron(cooking with) again, I just seared a bone-in ribeye on my new(to me) and newly restored 1950's Griswold number 8 on my grill's side gas burner and finished with salted butter in a 400 degree oven. Only Montreal Seasoning or cracked pepper and sea salt. I wish I had taken a photo of the art work after it was done. Bill
