  4. Looks good. I’m limited to Aqualung on vinyl. What’s the tonearm? I had a carbon fiber tonearm for about a month (Project Debut Carbon) I had high hopes for. Dialed in the 2M bronze today. Might be done tinkering for now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Thanks for the idea! Keep the apple cider vinegar for the greens that I eat, and for a cooked dressing I make for a spinach salad with mandarins and almonds. Honey, I usually don't run out of that either, got to turn the record... side 4 up next. For some reason "Singing All Day" hit me with extra deja-vu tonight. I've had this Tull cranked for hours now!

  8. SOLD. SOLD. SOLD 1981 Raw Birch Klipsch La Scalas Here is a chance to own an absolutely gorgeous pair of raw birch 1981 La Scalas in the configuration you prefer. The cabinets are in overall excellent shape, with a few dings here and there, but commensurate with their age. I guess I would rate them at 8.5 out of 10. Cabinets have been treated with Watco Rejuvenating Oil in clear natural color. Each configuration has been fully tested and all components are in excellent condition. Attached photos have been taken to show the cabinets prior to your choice of components. Differences in shading is purely the fault of my mostly terrible lighting in the space....but they are both consistently mellow golden. Option 1: All original heritage parts $1995 Tweeters – K77M Square magnet drivers Midrange – K55V push pin drivers, with new driver to horn gaskets Woofers – K33E Square Magnet. Woofer hatch has new sealing gasket Crossovers – AA configuration (no mods, all original) Option 2: All new components $2750 Tweeters – DaveA MAHL tweeter lens with DE-120 drivers (the synergy between these tweeters with the A55G and K55V mid drivers is outstanding) Midrange – A55G drivers, with new driver to horn gaskets OR...a pair of the endangered solder lug K55V drivers, rarely seen outside of the jungles of Alaska. Woofer – Eminence Kappa 15C. Woofer hatch has new sealing gasket (Superb woofer that is quick and dynamic in the mid-bass region.) These woofers have been "burned in" for approx. 35 hours, and they sound excellent. Crossovers – AA configuration with all new components, including autoformers and coils from Crites. New capacitors which are Jantzen Z-Superior from Parts Express. These crossovers have been fully tested and sound terrific. Upon payment, these speakers will be built to your desired configuration and readied for pickup or shipment. This will take only 1-2 days. If you need these to be shipped, I highly recommend utilizing Uship, which I have had good experience with. I will assist in this process to the best of my abilities; however the buyer assumes all responsibility for contacting and contracting with the shipper. Shipping cost is not included in the pricing. Payment: - USPS Money Order or certified bank check only. Trades will not be considered. Please do not ask if these are still available. If this ad is active, they are available. Serious buyers only please. I will demonstrate these within my home system, but all necessary Covid precautions must be taken. Looking forward to hearing from the folks that just bought theirs last week for $200...... Located in NW Indiana, approx. 1.75 hrs from Chicago, 2.5 hours from Indianapolis, 1.5 hrs from Grand Rapids. Please message me on this platform. Purchase commitments will be evaluated by timestamp. Thanks very much for your consideration.

These were his deceased brothers and he is closing out his estate on Monday. I cant figure out the exact date but AK3 X-Overs so probably late 80s early 90s. It seems he is also tossing in a set of La Scala Industrial Tops.

  19. there magically delicious ! Troopers: Cocaine found hidden in cereal boxes during Thruway traffic stop in Verona Observer-Dispatch 0:21 0:49 One man is facing felony drug charges after troopers found approximately 4.5 pounds of cocaine hidden in cereal boxes during a vehicle stop Saturday on the Thruway in Verona, according to the New York State Police. Troopers said 23-year-old Jahn Rentas, of Worcester, Massachusetts, was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Troopers said Rantas was pulled over around 1:45 a.m. Saturday for a vehicle and traffic violation. While interviewing the driver, probable cause was established to search the vehicle and the occupants, according to state police. The search yielded the amounts of cocaine that were discovered within two boxes of Lucky Charms, troopers said. After he was taken into custody, Rentas was remanded to the Oneida County jail pending arraignment

  21. Well it's all here. Set up the speakers and receiver and played the radio for a bit. Set up the turntable (forgoing burn in) and spun side 1 of an import Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. Then dug up the first record I ever bought with my own money (Aerosmith-Toys in the Attic)and it's playing now i the background. Man I missed that sound. Digital stiff is clean but it's cannot compete with analog to me. Volume is muted 'cause everything is new to me and well it's late and I've got neighbors. Got to say I'm very pleased with it so far. Maybe tomorrow or Sunday we'll see some volume but the Fisher surprises with quality of reproduction at low volumes. The speakers surprise as well. I was wondering whether I'd need a sub 'cause of the small woofer. So for doesn't appear to be an issue. Wish I didn't have t work tomorrow and could stay up and rummage through the records picking at random but oh well.

  22. Quit Lipton when I discovered Luzianne and never looked back. Tupelo Honey... if I wasn't yawning I could put that one on right now... love Van Morrison and yep his music can cure! @baron167 that's a stock 9" arm that came out with the ProJect Classic that I got the year after it came out. Can't get over the three legged bit but the sound from it is great!

  24. Keep it going with that orange wedge and cinnamon. Good for your C and immune system and blood sugar regulator. The good apple cider vinegar with the unfiltered, B something the real good stuff. Go easy like you would on your green s until you get it right or stomach problem may be too acidic. Sure you know, just saying...

No not a former lover that I thought of, but the attitude conveyed by the lyrics that would be called toxic today. "Toxic"? f y, I'll show you toxic you lilly-livered wussy. Long Live Ian Anderson!! Well I'm a common working man With a half of bitter, bread and jam And if it pleases me I'll put one on you man When the copper fades away Whoa oh it's up to me Ow! Whoa you said it's up to me, yeah! Take you to the cinema And leave you in a Wimpy bar You tell me that we've gone too far Come running up to me Hey! Whoa, you know it's up to me, yeah! Said it's up to me, yeah!

  29. I don’t have a traditional clear dust cover but use a large cloth to cover the TT when not in use
    3 points
  30. With me it is more simple. My new tt does not have auto-return for the tonearm. Usually I do not sit down on front of the stereo, I'm all over the place. So if I have to run to get the needle out of the deadwax I can't ad extra time for raising a lid. Left hand - down volume, right hand raise & return tonearm simultaneously.

  32. I was using a midrange Sony receiver at the time I had my RF-7s. They had great bass but as you said, they were very harsh at higher volumes. From what I've read the II and III don't have that issue. I currently have a top of the line Sony ES receiver from 2004 that sounds fantastic with my Heresys. Absolutely no harshness at any volume. The midrange clarity and smooth mid bass in the Heresy is what did it for me.

  34. how old is this? Last time I was in a "club" was 25 years ago and that's what things cost.

  35. I get it. It can be contagious. My current main speaker setup, RF-63's/RC-64, RS-35's, has been in place for the most part since the fall of 2008. Never have I thought seriously in "upgrading" my speakers except for adding/subtracting a few subwoofers through the years. Many good deals have been local to me on "upgrading" to RS-52's or RS-62's for surrounds but opted out every time. Are there "better" speakers out there, sure but when I am so pleased with my speakers I see no need. Bill

  36. This may seem like a very odd question. I see everyone posting pics of their turntables with either the dust cover off or it tilted up while they're spinning a record. Is there a reason for this?
