Finally. Proud new owner of Cornwall IV's in American Walnut. I should have done this a long time ago. Purchased from local dealer, ListenUp. Though ListenUp is not a Certified Heritage Dealer, they sell the whole line and had them in stock. Some 30 years ago I purchased a pair of Forte II's from this dealer, from a salesman named Gary. Why I remember that, I don't know. So I called them up, on a Thursday, asked for Gary (he's still there, though higher up in the food chain, I'm sure!). "Can you have them at my house tomorrow, cuz I'm going out of town Saturday?" He told me that he had to get them from the warehouse in Denver (I'm in Colorado Springs). He guaranteed me he would get them to my house if he had to deliver them himself. Next day he shows up in he own car, a Nissan Cube or something like that. He laughed and said his car is apparently designed to perfectly fit a pair of Cornwalls. These things are truly glorious! My hopes/expectations were sky high. They have been met. This is the best sound I have ever had. Ever.6 points

Yeah Gary....how far we have fallen talking about dish washers! At least it's not speakers being broken in or broken down๐ If I ever get another camera I'll join you gents over at Right This Minute. Though I do go to bed before most of you guys get started.3 points

They are really a great company if you know the history and the billions that they've donated to charity over the years, and continue to do so. I have owned many of their products over the last 35+ years, from automotive, tools, appliances and they are also the only heat pumps (forced air) that I will install on my homes. If customers want something different, they can contract it out themselves. I have power tools that are 20+ years old, some drills, 30, and they still work great, and that's not coming from a homeowner perspective, as they've been used professionally for many years. Getting off the soap box now. LOL Happy Saturday.3 points

With a nice glass of vino, I am enjoying this on the alternate movie audio system here in Longfellow Music Hall this evening. The Marantz 6011 in discrete 2 CH mode through the newer Klipsch PR-600M standmounts and of course, my old Dual 506 TT from the late 70ies. Under amber spotlighting, here is a photo......3 points

I moved to St Petersburg Florida from New Hampshire in August. Pandemic aside, the most lovely winter I have ever had. It is starting to hit low 80's right now. Ruined forever, I'll take the heat over the cold.2 points

Instead of toffee just coat those pecans with a mixture of cinnamon, brown sugar and real, and I mean, real, maple syrup. Place on baking sheet paper and bake for about 20 minutes or so and wallah!2 points

My lab ran off to die. Guess he was trying to save us the grief. Adopted another lab recently, whoโd been abused (over fed) by his owners. 64 lbs overweight. Vet he sez thereโs a nice dawg in there, waiting to get out, sezee. ๐ ๐คฃ Needless to say, heโs on a special diet. First check up, weigh in, next week. Heโs already able to move easier.2 points

Oh, let's be honest... we don't really care how quiet it gets done... as long as we aren't the one swishing dishes... Speaking of quiet machines... Why do they make these battery op clocks tick? And then they put that mechanism in a nice resonating box Mornin' All Ice on the water bowls this AM. It will be gone in a minute. The sun is up/out.We're back to record temps being a bit on the warm side... 90` is record. We're running a touch above normal with low/mid 70's... 70` is average.2 points

I take that you prefer to put your boat in the water as opposed to going out ON the water... even for having lived in IN.... ice fishing is the epitome of cabin fever.... Even if the ice is biting2 points

Speaking of dishwashers, my parents have a Bosch machine. I believe the cycle takes about an hour. That is a long time. In my younger days, I worked in and ran big kitchens and bakeries in a resort type living. We fed several thousand people per day, which generated quite a few dishes to be washed. We used commercial dish washers, both conveyor types and ones in which you slid a tray into it and pulled the doors down. This machine had a wash cycle of 90 seconds! The dishes come out very hot and within a minute or so, are completely dry. I have often thought about an under counter commercial version for the home, but never followed up on it. These machines even draw from a detergent supply on their own, so you don't need to add soap each time you use it. I dig a 90 second wash. A real time vid of a wash cycle in one. A bit dramatic, but you get the idea.2 points

Bracing is in progress! I included a pic to show the "method" I use. It's a combo of wood clamps and/or weights. I could pull the mid-horn & use two clamps, but I don't want to mess with their woodscrews... A "side to side" brace across the middle will be glued on next. (Adding 1 above the woofer & 1 below the woofer dramatically stiffens the speaker sidewalls) & Crossover is coming out soon for recap2 points

$2,600 Paypal Friend or Cashiers check. Includes free shipping in lower 48 via UPS. Packed in original boxes and then placed in additional boxes for extra protection. I could only find one cosmetic issue and I'll include a picture of the two tiny white spots on the front corner of one of the cabinets. I think these may be under the finish believe it or not. It's not something you notice from a few feet away, you have to be right up close to notice them. I could not wipe them off. They work perfectly. Please email as I don't check PM's here very often voltiaudio@gmail.com Greg2 points

Bosch dishwashers the Nazi dishwasher. Back in the day had dinner with the neighbors one night. After dinner we were at the kitchen nook table playing cards. Don't recall how the conversation got started but Larry(the neighbor) says doncha hear it it running right now. I said hear what. He says the Nazi dishwasher. I was amazed how quiet it was, I was sold. When I built I insisted on a Bosch. Controls inside out of sight and the cute little light(LED I presume) shinning on the floor when running.2 points

in general... seems as though "durable" goods have a much shorter lifespan than they used to and the new refrigerators with the eco-friendly refrigerant don't last... so, the whole appliance ends up in the dump instead of polluting the air.... go figure I've had 2 dishwashers in the last 25 years. First one lasted 6 years. 2nd one... 13 years and I'm still married to her2 points
