The medical shops should be this summer, but have no reason to go, unless to just look. Good friends can eliminate the winking and talking with people I don't really know. Anyway I only try a little for the Glaucoma, blood pressure, wait let me think of a few others, well preventive maintenance anyway. No way, much less for me, maby in the evening when I don't have anything else to do and just a small bit. Never (very rarely) any other time, or I would never get anything done well except for relaxing and listening to music. For me it's like a drink in the evening, that's about it. OH OH7 points

I used to have a “Stolen from Paul Klipsch” coffee mug, but now I can’t find it. Perhaps Paul’s spirit stole it back.5 points

Ok guys Here’s the story, come to find out this guy is real and it’s a real deal. He lives about a 1/4 mile from me. He’s they guy that was selling the signature series H2’s a few weeks ago, the H4’s he has are new and he bought them from Cory and it took 3 or 4 weeks for delivery. Why is he selling? Well he has the chance to buy a set of Cornwall’s for rear cheap price and his wife will not let him buy them unless his sells the H4’s. They live in a small 1600qf home and don’t have all the floor space for H4’s and Cornwall’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

Might not be the case but... Is your secret dietary? Same deal in my family. I attribute my [relative] good health to not getting married until I was 52. I have seen what [some] women can do... I have 3 sisters and 3 dead BILs....5 points

Man I'm tired today. My limbs feel like jello. Spent the weekend schlepping 67 pound blocks. Staircase is about halfway completed. I had to get to a point where if it rains my efforts would not get destroyed. Well I'm back at my real job(work) resting4 points

I'll let ya know, when we get wall coverings... I'm an off white person. If I want color, I'll do the trim in a color. ..... our living room was off white, until I pulled the 1/4in plywood down to reveal redwood. I have no explanation for covering it up...4 points

MDF is higher density than plywood, so there is probably an acoustical advantage when use in speaker cabinets. I believe one of the main reasons that furniture companies use veneered MDF and particle board for 99% of dining table tops and many cabinets is because it stays FLAT. So the wood products companies make lots of veneered MDF, and that is what many speaker shops buy and made their cabinets with. Keep your cabinets dry and don't drop them and they are just fine. Even if they were made of all plywood, keep them dry and don't drop them. 🙂3 points

Plywood was chosen for the front and back because it was a "known quantity" with respect to general strength and screw holding power, particularly for the woofer. Today those structural choices can be made with more "knowledge under the belt". The balancing of layers in plywood and MDF panels has been correctly expressed above. Layers are virtually always odd numbers.3 points

Boy, sure took me long enough! Tonight i finally removed the middle shelf from my TV stand so i could have a permanent home for my Heresy center. I had to buy a couple end tables to put my receiver and turntable on. My UHD player is short enough that it fits below my TV on top of the stand. Another plus to this is my subs sound better than they did in their previous location! Plus I was finally able to connect my Terk FM antenna to bring in more stations. 🔈🔉🔊🔈🔉🔊3 points

Guess I should have let you know the name of that color is what made me laugh. Nice shade of grequoise? Maybe that's one of the colors in a macro shot of one of those dragonflies in bright July sunshine. My bedroom is a lightened taupe, it was a stock interior color at Bennie Moore last decade. I read the ad. He is insinuating he paid 3K for the pair via Critchfield. He had them a week and then he said he's decided to "go another way?" I dunno. There are people with disposable income who can do that so it's not not a crazy story. Certainly uncommon, but not crazy. Carl ^^^ knows the questions to ask, so we'll see.3 points

Pulled from the webs: "It is absolutely necessary to veneer both sides of any substrate to “balance” the panel. If one side of a panel is left exposed, it will absorb ambient moisture at a different rate than the side that is veneered. This unbalanced situation will cause the panel to bow or crown and the problems associated with working with panels that aren’t flat should be obvious. The answer is to veneer the backs of these panels with a backer sheet, not the expensive walnut veneer that you’re using on the face. Backer sheets may be any wood veneer of lower grade or seconds that aren’t suitable to be sold as first quality. Because these aren’t seen, the flaws or defects aren’t a factor. In short, it’s well worth the investment of a few more dollars to insure a stable and longer lasting veneer panel."3 points

Just upgrading my main system and wonder if anyone here has heard Klipschorns driven by the Danish Alluxity Power One SS Stereo amplifier and can offer their impressions. I have this amp and a ModWright LS100 tube preamp on order and awaiting arrival. Thanks.2 points

Yep, me too. I made a fairly large cut in the mid-high knob (it sits at about 9 o'clock) and it took the edge off those upper mids.2 points

Are your current speakers loud enough with that AVR? It has plenty of power for any Klipsch speaker system, it should do well. It really depends on your end goal and budget. Are used speakers a possibility? Location. The folks are experts at finding good deals on gear. Welcome.....2 points

Good Morning Forum! Cup #3, sun is shining and we kidnapped our granddaughter Maylie, yet again to spend the night. LOL Went out to dinner last night, did a little shopping and then home for our typical night of music, dancing and singing. Our time with her is always special, and the fact that she absolutely loves music makes it all come together. I may have had a little influence since she's been born and she turns 4 next month. Drum kit is her birthday present from me, but won't be a surprise, since we spent time picking it out together. At her age, the right color pink was an essential part of the decision. LOL Better get the sausage and bacon cooking, she'll wake up soon and we'll be making waffles. Have a great day!2 points

I like the way the Nikon D700 renders colors. I know it is ancient in terms of digital technology (2008) and only 12 MB, but I like the images it produces. These shots were taken in various places around Vancouver while on a family vacation in 2018.2 points
