  1. 🤗Placed an order today for a pair of Cornwall IVs in black ash, I have wanted a pair sense I first heard them in the early 80s! Retiring later this year and thought it would be a good way to start my new journey.

  2. Thank you so much guys, for both your kind words of condolence, and for sharing your own experiences. My heart goes out to each of you that have endured this pain, it really is a hollow sadness that takes a long time to heal. I didn't have any idea how bad off he was. In three weeks this tumor that was not even showing up in Xrays, grew to the size of a baseball, then ruptured. There really was no decision to be made, he would not have made it back home with the forty minute ride we had. My daughter and I got to spend the last moments of his life sharing his love and affection. Ten glorious years of unconditional love from the best friend I could ever ask for. My remaining pug Pita has had all kinds of issues in his life, and somehow the little pumpkin is still ticking. He's had two bouts of cancer, Vestibular Disease, palette skin growing over his throat to name a few. I always feared he would go first, but somehow he managed to be a trooper. I hope I don't lose him anytime soon, not sure my heart could take that. Tim

  5. Let me get this straight (not what you're after it seems LOL), you want water infused with pot extracts because you're not drinking (a depressant) for a pick me up, and THC might be the answer? LMAO Might I suggest, adjusting your alcohol free goal to 10 days, check the box, get a nice stiff drink, smoke a big spliff, take a really long nap and you will be fully refreshed and feel great, or that's what I've read. LOL You know I'm just busting stones.

  6. Insanity is heredity, you get it from your kids. As for getting old, I think it's a privilege, only because the alternative sucks.

  8. Just ran across this shot and thought I'd share it. Not my work but what's the "coolness" factor on this one? "All in all, they're just another brick in the wall..." The Cavern Club, Liverpool.

  10. Ha! FINALLY a cool morning here! Heck w/venturing out into the wild for groceries. Those fig newtons can wait even if they would go well with my coffee. Cookies and coffee become addictive. Time to get on that paint brush in here. Riiiiiiggghhht after coffee!

  11. I suggest you find an optometrist who is less prone to hyperbole. If she is startled by those numbers, you would do well to get another exam by someone more professional. If you can pass the eyesight exam at the DMV, you can see well enough to drive.

  12. Yup, every time that happens with me. The thing is, I always forget what I actually went in for until I get home and don't have it 😂

  13. Animals are so much better than humans. they don't lie, connive or destroy for the sake of destruction. They are simply true to their nature. I lost my best friend the day after Christmas 2018 and still have not gotten over it, so I empathize with your loss. It seems you have been blessed with some special companions, so revel in their presence while you can.

  14. @teaman this is very sad news in regards to PJ , you did everything you could have -- it's time for you to rest , and mourn PJ , for all the joy he brought into your life -

  15. SO sorry to hear this, @teaman. Been there, done that, got a few T-shirts and it's just never an easy thing to do. It's like this line I have always lived by whenever I have lost a dog....or any pets... A dog is only with you a part of YOUR life but YOU are with them their entire life. And I leave you with this great quote...with tears in my own eyes now. Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened. - Anatole France

  21. I just cringed a little at the thought of pairing Bryston with Lascalas. And Mark Levinson amps sound like you just sucked all the air out of the room, lifeless and dead.

  23. Well, hardly ever. I had a dog and a cat when I was growing up, who worked together .... but we loved them so much. Since then, my wife and I have had 3 cats, and one frequent visitor. Well Makos has not met our Minpin, he has me trained, I just look like a big treat to him.

  24. Nah, I don't need a list I can remember 2 things. No problemo! Then I walk in the door and go blank. I'd take my girls in w/me when they were little. They called it Dad's store. I always think of that, laff then wander around aimlessly trying to remember what I needed. They're both mid-20's now and I'm happy to report I am getting better. 😂

  26. @dtel I feel you on that one. Got those cheap up at the FoodLion last week. Got to keep something small to follow meals with and Nonnis Biscotti doesn't seem to be available without chocolate all over them. I like the big newtons from BJ's like Mike's above better though. The normal from the grocery store seem small, the ones from the warehouse are doubly long so two inside each pack are like four. Now who's the member that has them in their signature? I saw those posts by him or her several time the last month. I had two for lunch. Did another strip (not NY Strip) don't know what they are but three of them for $12 I'm happy with `em. I'll just have to eat vegetables for a couple days after three days of it!

  27. Some parts of the book are too deep for me(the math). All in all worth the $25 Meanwhile slowly but surely 4PDT added toggle switch on left, 2 DPDT pushbuton switches a little right of center. 4 solder lugs added to tie in the current sensing resistors. Hope to epoxy mount them to the chassis to help with power dissipation Main board connectorized for voltage reg. voltage reg connections voltage reg board with added diff amp needed for bridge mode EDIT: let the wiring/rewiring begin

  28. I can make a list but not really invited to the store, I tend to want everything I see thinking what I can cook with it. Kind of like walking around a home depot or lowes, I can find many things I need/want.

  32. So sorry to hear that. I've had to make that call in the past and it's one of the hardest things you'll ever have to do.

  33. Sorry to hear, I know the feeling as I myself have been through this with a dog. We once had a pug/Boston terrier mix, one of the best dam dogs I've ever had. Again sorry for your loss.

  34. I'll spare you references to the Rainbow Bridge, and offer my condolences and sympathy. I've had to do it myself twice in the past, and in both cases it was among the most difficult things I've ever had to do. It is the last act of kindness that you can show to your loving friend.

  36. Sorry to hear about all of this, pets can become like family members so it's not easy. Sorry about the divorce being hard on you, never done it but have seen many who have and sometimes it's easy and a relief and sometimes not at all, either way it's a big change. Hope you and PJ do better. .

  38. France is beautiful The Mc would be screwed or bolted to a piece of plywood Then in a thick cardboard box, and foam board surrounding it Then into a second thick cardboard box with hard foam board all the way around. And if it's going container aka shipboard, may be good to put in in a wood box. Arrive alive......

  39. Yes it is, a week ago a friend came in town for a couple days. We sat out in the bar and one night drank tequila shots untill late listening to music. The way I felt the next day was quite depressing.

  40. Hi @Bubo Thank you for all your informative comments: Since my first post, things have changed: 1- I tried the Lab Gruppen, but since the fan noise was too loud and continuous, I returned it to the seller for free. 2- my MC2125 broke down, I have to take it to a repairman in a few days to get a repair estimate. 3- yes I know I should keep the MC2125, I've had it for over 21 years, but I wanted to change for no objective reason just for fun: I look with envy at the PAS Audio 2002PCA it's a small fanless studio amp in class AB mosfet K1058 / J162, handcrafted by a craftsman in Germany, I will only use it for bass on the K33E, above I have a Cary SLi50 😎

  41. Yup, ya relax and go stupid. I got it too. I blame my oldest every time I'm on the way home. I call her, tell her I'm on the way home and just realized I got everything but what I needed. She doesn't laff too hard then tells me I can get it next time. As if!

  45. Well IMHO, adding channels and processing gizmos will be the opposite of the “pinnacle of performance”. Which is why no system can be optimized for movies AND music. We always have to pick which one is most important to us and let the chips fall where they may for the other. I say set it up for music. The rest is just gimmickry. Shakey
