We (I) bought the first color one in here in the 1980s, last ones on the block to have one. The B&W had died and I turned it into a cabinet in the seventh grade in `75. I had gotten tired of the small b&w from the back in the big room. In the 60s there was a whole room at my mother's bookkeeping office taken up by a computer. It stored and read stuff off of what I called ticker-tape. Kind of like spools of red cap paper for the toy guns except larger than reel to reel spools. Dots got punched into them and that's what it read out to be typed by the automatic typewriter.

First pot full of backyard goodness: orange, red, purple, and yellow tomatoes, a small hot and one large sweet Chile, 1\4 garlic clove, medium onion. Oregano, prickly pear balsamic reduction, extra virgin olive irl. Dice all solids, apply heat. Wait 4-6 hrs, chow down. swerved from my intent to make sauce. Cooked a pound of mixed beans in a pressure cooker. Browned two pounds of sweet Italian sausage. Threw it all together, simmered, and will call it paella. Changed my mind: will call it delicious. Me Gusta......

Looks good, referegerated would also tast good.

Wellllllllllll, so much for the fig bars. Kroger had zero in the way of fig bars. Seasonal? 😂 They did have these on sale and w/a buck off or $1.79 a package. Haven't had Oreo's in eons!!! 😂😂😂

A favourite song for millions of fans

The pair of fir raw (photo above) left yesterday. So one gone and one or two to go. I have given prices over the phone, I think they are fair and the first buyer did too. The other folks I have spoken with seem to think that my prices are reasonable. If any of you want a price call me and I'll give you them, I kind of think, it keeps the tire kickers out of the air. In the last year and a half, I have not seen many K-horns on the market, I look mostly in the New England, New York, New Jersey area. There seems to be a pent up demand and inflation also seems to be on the rise. It is likely that I'll be selling the Corn Clone bass bin cabinets and heresy's but for now I need some space back. My tinnitus seems to be worse and the way I listen to music does not help it. Gary

Hi, I'm a newbie on audio and home theatre. I have a home 7.1.4 home theatre system. Room size is L 3.74 meter (12,2ft) and W 3.11 meter (10,2 ft) and H 2.95 meter ~ 9.6 ft The receiver is Denon x3700h with crown XLi 800 for Front Speaker Front Speaker : RP-8000F (Distance to listener around (2 Meter ~ 6.5ft) Center Speaker : RP-504C (Distance to listener around 2 Meter ~ 6.5ft) Side Surround : RP-500M (Distance to listener around 1.5 Meter ~ 4.9ft) Rear Surround : Some Aiwa Speaker Pair 6ohm (Distance to listener 1Meter ~ 3.2 ft) Atmos Front & Rear : RP-500SA Sub : SPL-120SW I believe some may say 7.1.4 will make the sound muddled for such a small room, but I really can notice a difference when playing games with those rear surround. The rear surround somehow makes the experience more whole. The aiwa rear surround is planned to be temporary, but actually in my opinion, currently the rear surround already sounds pretty great. I really don't believe that there is a significant benefit if I repllace the aiwa rear speaker to klipsch speaker. But for uniformity sake, if I'm changing it to a klipsch, will RP-400M suffice? (I know bigger is better, but the speaker position is actually only 1 M ~ 3.2 ft from the listener). I originally want to buy an RP-500M as RP-600M is really overkill in my opinion, but after reading here and there, I think the RP-400M will do just fine. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Hello, restoring a set of crossovers on Chorus "I" . The squaker in one of the cabinets is down a few dB from the other (already switched cabinets to check horn) or I would not mess with them to be honest. I see a lot of 6.8 caps a lot of choices for 2.2 uF caps too. Are you all finding exact values or are you using exact values such as can be found in sonicap. I do not want to spend sonicap money to be frank. So I guess my question is what do you use. Thanks, Jim.

Rear surrounds don't get a lot of sound sent to them. The 400s should work great for you. I actually eliminated my rear surrounds because I sat so close to them.

Just finished this interesting documentary on Belgian national television. I love how they go through the heap of vinyl records on the coffee table. You can't do that with digital files, now can you!

Well this is originally my thread, and I didn't want the original seller to see this conversation. I went and saw the lot, but the space was quite limited so we didn't unpack anything, I just took a look at a couple of boxes, haven't even had a chance to check if the crossovers seem alright

Been in their Ice Palace. But not for hockey, it was Soundgarden after Superunknown and then Pearl Jam after Binaural. Two very different and two killer shows!

The tweeters could be mounted on either side of the squawker in vertical orientation as they were on my Speakerlabs. E-V intended vertical orientation of T-35s, but doing so would have increased Klipsch’s production costs without, “. . . a dime’s worth of difference.” The attached photo does not show my old Speakerlab SKhorns (I had four). My geriatric memory tells me two had the T-35s on the right and two had the T-35s on the left, but my memory could be faulty. Mirror imaging would have enabled a pair to be placed in a space with the tweeters both to the inside or both to the outside. Mirror imaged side vertical mounting would avoid cluttering the squawker, but it too is probably not a dime’s worth of difference.

So... a totally non Klipsch speaker?

For years I've always kept a lookout for a nice pair of CF-4's with no luck.I heard them years prior and was totally impressed. A friend of mine scored a flawless pair of cherry CF-4's. They looked and sounded awesome. That is, until we compared them side-by-side with upgraded 30's. The difference in sound quality was not subtle. The 30's had: 1. Crites xovers 2. MAHL tweeters/DE10 drivers 3. A55G mid-drivers 4. Ciare woofers 5. Cabinets sealed and braced 6. Mogami jumpers It was like comparing Palladiums vs. KG's. Keep in mind the CF-4'S were all original. Despite all the comparisons, the KLF-30's with the above mentioned upgrades/mods are in another league. What's also interesting is how similar the upgraded 30's sound compared to the new Cornwall lV's I demoed. Similar in how smooth and non-fatiguing they play. It's good to know that the improvements made with the Cornwall IV's were similar to the improvements with the KLF-30 upgrades. The biggest difference was in the tweeters between the two. If you're unable to EQ the DE10's, they are on the hot side. Very clear and smooth but hot. EQ takes care of it at 5khz. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

I bought tubes because they sound way better than SS with my speakers. I was never drawn to the tinkering factor, just the sound. Same reason I bought the speakers in the first place.

Some of you folks have strange notions. For the prices you guys are talking about you can get a pair of Jubilees (No, it won't have the over-priced veneer), a DSP unit (No, it won't be the best but it will be good enough) and a second amplifier (Again, not the best but good enough). Add it all up and it will be less than 10 grand. Believe me, you will have exceptional sound. Hands down! Period ! etc .... Quite possibly the best sound you have ever heard. That is something to consider

I am pretty sure my income and tastes do not belong in the Truly High End AUDIO World. My hearing is not that trained or good to hear the difference. Same for food - I like my favorite local family style Italian Bistro - and a great rigatoni dish or thin crust pizza.Dinner for two less than $50 and that is fantastic. I have zero interest in going to a fancy restaurant I have to get dressed up to go to and having some exotic French cuisine where a dinner runs well over $1,000 before the bar bill. I like records and a good turntable is nice but I have zero interest in a $90,000 TT or $50,000 tonearm or a $25,000 phono preamp etc etc Buying Amplifiers for over $100K appears crazy to me and no matter how much $$$ I had I would not pay that sort of $$$$$. You could buy many amps for under $5,000 that would sound better than I could even hear.
