  2. Going through tough times, personally because.... Being on holiday in the Ardennes, Belgium, and there is no vinyl record to be spun for another week. 😕 So keep your posts coming, please have mercy on me! Picture: me with my partner in a real cave (not my man cave...). We're here to support the economy after the recent dreadful floodings killed 40 people and washed whole towns away.

  7. Hi, I saw Ferrari races in 1994 on the Spa Francorchamps circuit (some say it is the most beautiful circuit in the world, especially because of the Raidillon de l'Eau Rouge). I slept in a hotel in Liège, then I took the road between Spa and Luxembourg through the Belgian Ardennes: what a beautiful region !

  9. @MeloManiac What? It's 0930 here and if you think I'm getting off my old rear to play a vinyl album as a spatial request you're cra-cra! Suck it up and share this w/the boss! Enjoy your holiday and down time brother! Now just push play and settle in! 😂 😂 Imo, he's one of the bestest I've ever heard but a lot of great ones out there. Crowd view is great but the stage view down into the crowd is even better. Aisles down to the stage full of women and it's show and tell time. Talk about x-rated? Lawd have mercy on their souls! 😂

  17. Forte III to Cornwall IV I was lucky to get a trade in offer for full price on what I paid for the Forte III to upgrade to the Cornwall IV. It was a no brainer deal, so I had to take it up. Those that say the Cornwall is like a Forte on steroids aren’t wrong. They deliver a bigger presentation more effortlessly. The word I keep coming back to with the Cornwall is delicacy. Slightly ironic given the sheer size of these speakers. They are massive. But as large as they are, the craftsmanship is impeccable. The shift to a polymide compression driver in the midrange is immediately noticeable; the scale of the larger mid horn is perfectly complimented by the silky smoothness of that driver. Vocals and instruments are effortlessly natural, presented on a wide and deep soundstage. Imaging is tighter, particularly noticeable on good recordings. Bass is a bit different with the Cornwall. It’s bigger, cleaner and deeper, but initially feels weaker than the Forte. That might be due to the rear passive on the Forte creating extra bass reinforcement, or possibly the tuning with the passive or the prior crossover design creating a mid bass bump. However, the Cornwall feels more balanced overall and the bass feels more natural. Drums are ethereal. For double the price I paid for the Forte (it’s now priced higher), the upgrade was absolutely worth it. The music is bigger, more natural and lifelike, and more detailed. It’s more delicate and warmer, more nuanced. 26. So, I was also always the one people came too for advice. That says something about you. Wise, trustworthy, good listener, kind, compassionate, good/big heart. Those are all positive character traits that have a side affect. Hopefully mixed into those character traits is a willingness to be honest when being honest means correction and having to be stern. The side affect is, some people mistake kindness for weakness and take advantage and it stings the tender hearted, which can lead to hard heartedness. As much as is possible, my advice is to guard the tendency toward hard heartedness which becomes skepticism, but at the same time, learn to set healthy boundaries with those who hurt, take advantage of, and abuse your kindness. Boundaries are for your protection and the protection of the relationship. Loving others through service, which includes being a good listener, is more than a positive thing, it is important and healthy for all parties. I'd suggest a book titled, Boundaries: When to say yes How to say no To take take control of your life. https://www.amazon.com/Boundaries-Updated-Expanded-When-Control/dp/0310351804/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=boundaries&qid=1628427317&sr=8-4 I hope this helps. Part of my calling into the ministry was the preparation process of being one of those who people came to for advice. Everything is part of the process of becoming, God wastes nothing.

  28. If you are truly going to use this system for “background music”, I wouldn’t spend that kind of coin on either speaker. I haven’t heard the forte IV, but the Cornwall IV is a serious speaker that deserves the best ancillaries and will demand your attention and draw you right into the performance. Unless you’ve got money to burn, look for some used cornwalls or fortes for your application. IMHO………. Shakey

  34. Haven't listened to "that" group for a while. Only saw them once and it was full-on and with Jerry in the early 80s. They're still at it with some help from a couple new friends.

  37. @MeloManiac thanx for these nice pics . Good looking dude 🙂 I used to be in Belgium for business and vacations at the north sea very often, so I know a little bit of belgium culture and living art . My greatest respect for your decision to help other people who also have to live through the worst of the flood disaster in Belgium. In Germany, the damage to the environment, buildings, roads and infrastructure amounts to almost 8 billion euros. The reconstruction of the affected areas will take years.....

  39. No doubt they do run “warm”. But hey, it’s Sunday morning and bacon and eggs seems appropriate. Bacon on the right channel, eggs on the left. And Miles Davis providing the “heat”. It’s very Zen like —

  48. agreed! That appears to be the CT120 which to my ears is a huge upgrade over K77. The CT125, I consider an update. The x-over is a different approach with a lower crossover point for the mid/tweeter. A move Klipsch has done as well since leaving the K77. To me, it depends on what it replaced. My 4500's replaced an AB xover in a pair of Belles, that was an upgrade. If moving from AA to A4500, just a slightly different approach without catering to the tweeter. More of an update. Either way, nice speakers. Very nice actually.
