  3. and peace to you. isn't if funny how taste varies? I suppose if we delve deep into our psyche there is more to our likes and dislikes than what the art presents. For instance, there is a gal that I was involved with once upon a time, I don't care to even hear her name anymore; but she reminds me of the music from Chicago ... hence, I refuse to listen to Chicago. Now, my opinion of Fleetwood Mac is based on just common musical sense ... they suck. well, they didn't in the Peter Green days; but the stuff after him ... yuk.

  17. May I gently take issue here, Claude? Start with the presupposition that I have the highest regard for you personally and your solid opinions. I don't have a dog in this fight so I consider myself neutral. I know the Crites company by its stellar reputation and I don't know the OP at all. What I read in Post 1 was the OP was NOT trying to tear down Crites. He did not mention the company by name and he seem surprised that after he posted a picture everyone knew who the builder was. As you said, all the posters here are knowledgeable and honest. We can have disagreements on various topics but the replies here were honest IMO. My take was that the OP had a legitimate concern over a technical issue based on what he read on Crites website. He posted a topic here looking for feedback. I give the OP as well as the Crites company the benefit of the doubt. Both were acting in good faith and as I read more and saw some of the responses from Crites it seemed to me, as others have suggested, that there was not a meeting of the minds. It further looks like both sides are trying to find a fair resolution that is mutually agreeable. That's what I would expect from a fair customer and a great company. I think the Klipsch forum members in this thread have offered great perspective and advice. I applaud the OP for having an open mind, I equally applaud Crites for offering some fair options. I don't see any ill intent on the part of either party. That's just the view of a neutral third party. Thanks in advance Claude for giving my comments a look. Whether or not we end up agreeing or disagreeing on the intent of the OP I feel sure we'll still be forum friends. -Dave

  24. Indian summer around here should be late Sept. early Oct. we always get 90s and the humidity back for a while. Past week we've been like out there, low 60s and mid 80s just about perfect. 10am and I've made my second 20 ounces of coffee already. Stocking up is not too good of an idea, beans roasted in July and the taste has altered a little. Must be snobbish bad beans just aren't tolerable anymore. Curmudgeon already?

  26. Mornin all I guess you could call our weather "Indian Summer"? Back to pre-monsoon condition. Cool AMs and warm afternoons ... no rain - even remotely. Humidity is down. We're waiting for a/nother dead hurricane to come our way. Seems as the monsoon is over. I've been clearing weeds/wildflowers. They're drying up and gone to seed. Not to mention the thought of a fuelwood delivery crossing my mind. Having a clear space is nice. Being able to open the gate is nice, too. Stuff had gotten 3ft tall around it. Been out puttering around already. Watering the garden. Made a pot of coffee using Mexican beans. Been playing around with strength of the finished product. With my coffee maker, strength of the coffee isn't so much of how much beans you use as how fine they are ground.

  32. what was your first or favorite concert? for me ... my first was YES ... the Tormato Tour. Their first with the circular, rotating stage. Years later, I asked Rick Wakeman about that stage. He plays with his eyes closed and I asked him if the moving stage created any challenges for him when he closed his eyes. He said No, it didn't. He learns the song and then plays it with eyes closed to avoid distractions. He also told me that he preferred the rotating stage that they used on the UNION tour as it was bigger. My favorite concert ... QUEEN. But, David Gilmour was great. Roger Waters was great. And, don't laugh, I've seen some really, really good REO SPEEDWAGON shows back in the Gary Richrath days. I agree with the statement that I heard someone says once that REO Speedwagon is a good example of what happens when you take control of the band from the guitar player and give it to the lead singer ... after that happened with them, they became a radio Top 40 group.
