  2. CF4 V1 are the most desirable. These things are WAY overachievers, the 4 is what I owned and it absolutely trounced my KLF 30's and other heritage speakers I had. This is of course subjective to my ears in my listening room. I got scared about not being able to find replacement drivers so I sold them, mistake.

  3. The wife had this pop up on her facebook thing and laughed. It was when I was a senior, we walked out to protest not being able to have long hair, they gave in. It's funny to see this after all these years expecially since my hair is now shorter than it's ever been.

  4. I've got some bacon and lettuce, good bread too... too bad those fresh tomatos got used up here before I made the bacon this am. But as long as I've got the coffee I'm good. It was 6:09 for me today, I hit the snooze once but made the pit stop before it went off again. My phone has the first few stanzas of Floyd's "Time" for that alarm. It is almost as good as one of those "Big Ben" manual alarm clocks with the metal chimes on top.

  5. So I was out and about today, a church had put a few items out for people to take along side a couple of large 40 yard dumpsters. Much to my shock doing a big double take, was this pair of La Scala's, I was shocked to say the least. I got them home, hooked them to an old Marantz 2235B and they work perfect. All 3 drivers work as they should. Now I have inspected them very closely, they have consecutive serial numbers, 22T853 & 22T854. I was reading in your forum trying to figure a year on them and there was a good explanation of the parts and the year they were introduced. I can't see the woofer, but they have the AA crossover, the k 55 v horn and one tweeter says K 77 M but the other says K 22 R ..... I can find anything on that number! Now they are both the same and both are original, one reason I say this is because they have a black stamped number on the tweets and they are both the same, 944. And you can just tell these speakers have not been tampered with. The speaker type is a LS-BR. Would anyone know a rough year on these or anything about them? They also seem to have a darker stain on them, almost like a dark walnut. I can find anything on this color either, but it also seems original because it is under the tag on the back and is bleeding through a little.. Any information someone might know would be great... Thank you!!

  10. "I wanted modern trouble free gear that I did not have to care for (really I did not feel comfortable with my toddle running around hot tube gear), but I have been pleased with the results of more power." Verbatim here. My soon to be 2 year old year old knows how to turn on all of my gear and is VERY curious. Daily she says" music, Dancie". That M2 ran too hot for my taste and I was concerned about her burning her hand on the amp. She knows not to touch my gear, but you know how that goes.... 😏

  11. Almost brand new V36 IPAL from power sound audio. Purchased last year and has been used weekly. In perfect working condition and I’m more than willing to show you demos of its capabilities before final sale. You will need an appliance dolly to move. $3000. Residing in Port Orchard, Washington State.

  12. If the stain looks good to you and you like it, there is no real reason to change it. If the stain did its job, you wouldn't really be able to remove it easily. You could clean them well and use something like Watco Danish Oil. It penetrates and seals the wood. Lots of options, limited only by the contents of your wallet. They look in a lot better shape than the ones I have now. And welcome to nuthouse, uh...Klipsch forums.

  13. These look nice This is a wider room: 12 ft wide and with an 8 ft ceiling. Let me remove some clothing You see that it has a Woofer-Tweeter-Woofer configuration. I'll talk more about the advantage of this later on.

  17. Rather get splattered than have a coronary sitting on the couch. Not to say I take unnecessary risks but a safe (i.e. boring) life is one I have no interest in. Raced open class MX for decades and held 14 landpseed records along with a few other disciplines. Been clocked at a certified 178MPH........on a Harley. Well that's what he gas tank said. Adrenaline junky I guess. Nothing like a close call to wake up the senses.

  18. ...if I hadn't given up riding, I doubt I would be here to tell the stories. Left to myself, I do OK... it's the random stuff that gets me. Like a jackrabbit running under the rear wheel or a butterfly splattering on your faceshield and blowing up under it, to make a smear on yer face... The waitress, "Bill, you have some mustard on your face"... "Errr, no, it isn't"

  21. I got kicked off the freshman track team because my hair touched my collar and ears.... I remember those days well. was more like I quit the track team because they wanted me to cut my hair. Being a knothead, I refused ---------------------------- We're getting fall like weather. I see a low in the sub 50's this week and a couple days below 80`. Brrrr ------------------------------ I am thinking my livingroom cancels bass. Gonna bring the RP600's in to see. I noticed that the R15Ms sound fuller when I moved them to the doghouse... using the same [Sony] amp that was in the house. I know the wood floor and walls are somewhat reflective, and the rock work around the fireplace, too... but, the doghouse has concrete floor, paneled walls. The doghouse is nearly square [approx 12 X 12] and has a 7ft ceiling. The little speakers sound a lot mote "punchy" in there. Trying to figure it out ....

  23. Yes the KLF line are very capable and good sounding speakers IMO my only criticism is how they seemingly cheaped out on just about every aspect of the design compared to the previous line which was the Chorus / Forte & Quartet.

  26. These amps are for anything. Most of my listening now is Cello of one sort or another and the musical definition is really good. it also does thump and drums and as a matter of fact it just does it all well.

  30. Picked up a a new TT today. Pioneer PL-A35 with an AT14S cartridge. Wow! Listening to vinyl is as good as I remember. I'm new to this cart but so far I like it. It's better than the M97xe I used to have. So far anyway. 🤘

  31. My gal is three and loves the music and the stereo. When I had to send the MC240 for a repair, she was pretty devastated and asked about the stereo everyday -- "Is it fixed?" That was enough of a rationale/justification for me to make the switch to solid state. She has also figured out how to turn everything on and off and asks me to play her music all the time. Her preference is for records, I try to play her favorite album (which is Jamie XX these days) digitally and she is having none of it. She also exclaims "I like it loud!" whenever I turn the music down a little. It's never too early to get them into the hobby

  32. Yes, it is a nice fall day. fresh Mexican coffee... picked a few tomatoes... 5 or 10lb and a 5gal bucket of jujubes. ----------------------- that was yesterday today... it is thunder and lightning. Some rain to go with it. Not copious amounts, but, I won't have to water the garden for a couple of day... especially if we get the rain that is predicted. We have chances [higher than zero] the next few days. Give me a chance to think about putting some of the tomatoes up. They are coming fast. Hardly any thru the summer and then everything comes ripe at one time. I have some Kiwano melons getting close, too. Even if you don't eat them, they make a good conversation piece. Little orange footballs with large fleshy spikes... Something from StarWars

  33. Have a go fast bike and a BMW sitting in the basement and haven't been able to ride. Weather is perfect but the work on my speakers and painting has gotten in my way. Today my wife asked me- if you had to choose between the motorcycles and the stereo system what would go? I was thinking silently, my wife.

  35. I had a hybrid Magnat with more power before the Cayin, same price range, I do not want to go back. I am more into relaxed listener but sometimes I like it loud too but with keeping the musicality. So I went the other way instead of buying like a 5k Yamaha 3000 to get what I want, I went for the Cornwalls and kept the Cayin. The CWs are filling my room with music whereby the Heresey did bring the music into the room. I would have to force them too much in this case. My experience now is that it sounds loud, even when I play at low volumes. Neighbours are happy Gesendet von iPad mit Tapatalk

  36. Yes I will do! 👍 In Italy the LEGEND KLF series unfortunately was little sold compared to Heritage and underestimated by purist audiophiles because they believed ,often without having listened to them ,that it was good only for home theater and could not even be compared to the Cornwall, reading on the USA forums instead I found many admirers of the LEGEND series. In my room (8,5 mt x 4.5 mt with speaker on the short side) I managed to make two Chorus II sound very good (great speakers but unfortunately they failed after a few years because the one who sold them to me had treated them rather badly and it was no longer worth repairing them) but unfortunately I did not get the same result with two Cornwall while the KLF 20 for my room seem to be perfect and with the Bob Crites crossover and tweeter upgrading they sound as detailed and refined as Cornwall, with all due respect to many Italian enthusiasts who continue to pay used Cornwalls a price twice as for KLF😄

  39. I'm a fan of rotel and have been for some time. Value and stellar sound have always been the companies finest points. It has been awhile since I paired one of their amps with klipsch, but as memory serves, I could happily be content with the match. Think I was powering Cornwall IIs with them.

  40. I had similar issues. Dual subs mostly solved, but blending perfectly wasnt as I wanted. I took Josh Riccis advice and fired the mouth of my Ported subs into the wall. Then I played with distance of the port to the wall. In my room, 6" was the magic number. Subs are seamless and vicious. I have mine crossed at 40 hz and that will be different than what you need surely. Give it a try. Turn YPAO OFF and experiment that way first I would advise. You can always get it to your liking first and see if YPAO makes, things better or worse thereafter. When I have the subs perfectly blended volume wise, you have, to turn them off to hear what they are doing (depth).

  41. If I were to set speakers on wheels ii would be in dolly form, you can screw whatever size plywood to it to make it fit your speaker or just buy casters and build your own at whatever size you need then the speakers can just sit on top of them. At $12 each kind of hard to beat. https://www.harborfreight.com/18-in-x-12-in-1000-lb-capacity-hardwood-dolly-63098.html

  44. Sounds like a good score. You will start noticing details in music you never noticed before. The guys are going to want photos! Unlike the 6000s you now have the midrange horn which is the real game changer.

  45. No, not true. If I played your speakers through my parasound a21 amp and even tried to touch the limits that you could sustain (unless you are used to 140 dB car audio or 130+dB concerts ALL THE TIME) you would be driven out of the room far below 100 watts.

  47. Don't be disappointed if when you first hook them up if they do not sound good. The dial in process will take a while. Chris had mine sounding pretty good after a few times and then after a few more they just popped in to where they sounded. Magical.
