  1. Hey all, Sorry about that. I've been trying since Monday to get the new certificate for this server, but our vendor was being very difficult for no apparent reason other than technical issues. All should be good now. Thanks

  4. Took delivery of my Belle Klipsch about three weeks ago. After getting some listening time in I've finally discovered what everyone means when they can really hear the difference in the way a source was recorded. I've had many Klipsch speakers but these are the first ones I've had where good recordings sound magnificent and bad ones are pretty much unlistenable. But all and all I love these things. Running them with just a solid state McIntosh MA 6100 integrated. Plenty of power for them. I'm a happy camper.

  5. At first, my wife wasn't sure she wanted to have a celebration, but finally accepted it whole heartedly. We had about 25 friends with us at one of the newer trendy places in Chattanooga's South Side. It was a lot of fun (as it usually is when a bunch of Filipinos get together).

  6. It is and I'm against using white cornmeal or any mixes so it's real and the homemade taco mix worked well! *This will half fill a #8, you do need a quarter tsp of soda that isn't on the sheet & I haven't used salt pork in fifteen years or more, only two tbsp of grease for this half batch

  13. Our issue wasn't with the renewal of our wildcart cert (that was done weeks ago), it was with the verification process they have in place. Won't go into more details than that. We're set though, thanks.

  14. That big fella got around. From his stuff to a quasi-Halloween-movie with Tim Curry. But with Nugent he helped make Ted's Best-Ever LP. * If you think that tune is alright, cue up the whole record! Yea I know it's early... but it's Friday. & even if your like Kenny's dad "Every day is the weekend when you're unemployed." Friday is always Friday!

  19. This will carry me for a while Mr DJ. I've been missing mine for about six months now. Putting the tubes in the pc sound path have helped a lot. So I get how you feel, and you might like this one picked it up a while back myself! EC & JJ

  20. I have a pair of JC’s, Justin Webber’s (Amps & Sound) and Dave Harris’ (Fastlane Audio) Minipunch speakers. Bass bin is JC’s Minipunch design with dual Eminence Delta-12FLA drivers Mid horn is Fastlane’s Eliptrac with B&C DE750 drivers Tweeter is Fastlane’s horn with B&C DE10 driver. Crossover is custom ALK/Justin Webber design. I believe it’s second order with 450 or 500/6000 Hz crossover points. wiring is 12 gauge stranded Cabinets are 27” wide x 20” deep x 43” tall, weigh over 150 lbs each, ported (3”) and the ports can be plugged using Oatey 3” compression plugs if you prefer sealed. The cabinets are built like tanks and the craftsmanship is second to none. Anyone who has experience with Justin’s speakers can attest. The cabinets are raw and need a finish. They are fully functional, sound incredible, better than La Scala’s / Belles / Cornwall’s. Hit harder, dig deeper, sound clearer… $2000 located in San Jose CA Not sure what they weigh but probably over 150 lbs each. Shipping won’t be cheap but I’ll work with someone if need be. I’m moving out of the country, otherwise I would not be selling them! I have more pictures of better quality I can share if serious about buying. A couple of Links to minipunch threads on this forum:

  21. Cary SLI-80 Signature F1 with the uncommon British Racing Green chassis and a black face plate. This unit has no issues sonically or cosmetically save a few tiny swirls in the paint from dusting. This integrated is a classic and is good enough to be used by Klipsch for demos. You can actually buy it as a ‘Heritage’ model with side panels to match your speakers. https://www.caryaudio.com/products/sli-80hs/ It puts out 80 Watts/channel in Ultra-linear mode / 40 watts per channel in Triode mode. Switchable for 4 or 8 ohm speakers. It’s a tube rollers’ dream. Aside for the usual signal tubes, you can change the rectifier tubes and run power tubes from EL34 to KT-120. The unit has manual bias. Currently this one is running Svetlana 6550C power tubes. Beside the paint job, the F1 adds: - Jensen copper & oil capacitors - Hexfreds rectifiers in the power supply - CD input wired with Kimber Kable - WBT Speaker terminals; real WBT terminals, not “WBT style.” - Greyhill gold plated switch for inputs I hate to part with it, but I bought another SLI-80 F1 which is direct coupled. It sings with EL-34s IMHO. Includes remote control, power cord, manual, and original packing. $2250 plus shipping to you (it weighs 42#). Please email any questions. Thanks. Specifications - Circuit Type Push-Pull Ultra-Linear Pure Class AB-1 Power Output 80 Watts – Ultra-Linear / 40 Watts – Triode Input Sensitivity .45 Volt for full output Noise and Hum -82 dB below full output Frequency Response 19 Hz to 23 KHz +/- .5 dB Inputs CD, AUX1, AUX2, Headphone jack Outputs: Sub-woofer out Tubes complement is 2 ea 6922 Input Buffer Preamp / 2 ea – 6SN7 Pre Driver/Phase Inverter / 2 ea – 5U4 Rectifiers / 4 ea - Output Tubes

  25. Another forum member PM'd me and asked if I would help them build the high pass filter circuit for the LaScala mod. I put together a BOM from Jameco so the parts could be sourced easily from one location. Of course there are many places to get the parts from, but Jameco has good prices and has everything in stock. I have no affiliation with Jameco. 18dB High Pass Filter EQ_LaScala Part BOM_102121.pdf

  37. Well thank you, I am just a part of it all. Everyone there knows I am not a painter, I get it mostly on me and everything around me and sometimes where we want it. But I am getting better at touching up, I have alot of practice. It is exactly why I go to the museum in what I call pre painted clothes, we worked that day and I never changed, that shirt only has a little paint on it, for now. It did need a refresh but mostly just cosmetic, clean, repair and repaint or refinish. But it overall is in good shape considering it is 100 years old this year. To us that is the goal, PWK deserves a nice museum, to create a product which is a luxury item in a small town and keep the company growing for over 75 years makes a great story and says alot about the man who did it all. .

  38. Thank you all. The whole thing was overwhelming, I am not used to attention like this, I was very nervous to say the least. Travis and Craig did a great job as did Paula and Lauren Yocum and family, I was very suprised they came I had no idea but glad they did it was really nice to see them again. Being part of something tied to Scott and Paula Yocum make it that much better, very nice people. I first worked with Scott and really liked him but did not know the rest of the family untill he had passed on, a very nice family and glad I am lucky enough to get to know them all. Earlier that day I told Craig I felt sick about this and he said get over it, it is going to happen. Being very nervous and standing in front of a bunch of people and having nice things said about me is not easy to do, even if I know them all and they are friends. I really appreciate this, I had no idea and never expected it, just wanted to try to make a nice museum for PWK and for whoever visits. There are many people who deserve this, I am just a small part, but really appreciate everyone even considering me in with all the people who also deserve this. Thank you.

  41. What I can't figure out is why this thread even exists ... Skippy wasn't listed as one of the choices, so apparently this is exclusionary. Not to mention those allergic to peanuts that are being terrorized by this peanut discussion. Why should a person who, through no fault of their own, has a peanut allergy basically have it thrown in their face by those unsympathetic to their plight. Peanut Butter PTSD is a real thing! So Klipsch hates those with peanut allergy is what I'm taking away from this discussion. By the time I get back from my meeting with the therapist I'll probably have forgiven you all though.
