Never had kangaroo. Alligator, Frog legs, quail, buffalo, rattlesnake, deer, elk, ostrich, dove, rabbit ... who knows what else. My brother and I used to get together for Exotic Meat Day. But, you won't catch me eating no Taco Bell.5 points

62 and never owned a TV. Not to say I haven't watched TV just too cheap to purchase one and then pay to use it. I occasionally check out stuff online but not a regular happening. $100+ monthly for something I haven't the time to devote to it is just out of the question.3 points

That's funny. We cut the satellite last week, got hulu+ instead at less than half of what the sat cost. After checking to see if everything we watched was included including live sports we switched. Hulu is a little harder to get around on (still learning) and slightly less convenient but for about $64 and plus still saving that much over sat it's good. Sat had a couple hundred channels we never watched but you had to have to get the few we wanted, they work it like that, well not for me anymore. Picture is just as good, from looks and acording to what resulition the tv say it is gitting.3 points

Grind the beans a good bit more coarse, the screen would let small grinds through and it wouldn't be "good until the last drop" that way! Let it steep like + or - four minutes before you press it slowly and steadily down. That was in instructions for a fragile one that broke on me years ago. *205 degrees is what all the coffee-geek websites say, just shy of a boil. Wanna get more technical, pour water over the grinds slowly in a circular motion when the bubble starts to form in the middle let it sit for a minute before putting the top on the thing. That bubble in the grinds rising like bread in the oven is the bloom.3 points

That’s right. I still use my Blackberry (yes, Blackberry) for snapshots that I can also use to order pizza but I’m committing to learning to use this Leica Q2 Monochrom that I picked up almost a year ago. It is strictly a B&W camera, 47MP with a fixed 28mm f1.7 lens. Incredible resolution, not having a sensor color filter array. I thought that a fixed focal length would be limiting but I’m finding just the opposite - it’s great not having to carry around a bunch of gear except for a set of filters. I still have many pounds of decent Nikon gear for color and telephoto shots but I’m less inspired to lug around a huge camera bag anymore.3 points

My brother in law has this album (and a couple of others), original 1970s pressions, on vinyl too. I have CDs only. I'm soooo jealous of this!3 points

Haha. Honestly, I was delerious in the hospital for her birth after being awake for almost 3 days straight from working and family. She was supposed to be born on the 30th. I wished no matter what it would be Halloween. Low and behold, 0630 she was born! Best day of my life.2 points

Its my daughter's bday today. No BS. I will have to care about Halloween my entire life. This will be her first time "trick or treating".2 points

So true. For my tastes and how I like to listen to music, these are by far the best speakers I've ever owned. What's more, my wife is impressed. And, since the best response I've ever gotten out of her with previous equipment upgrades was a grudging, "uh huh...that's nice", that's saying a lot. Maybe someday I will win the lottery and go for bigger and better, but for now I'm happy. In all honesty, I love reading post from so many people so enthusiastic about so many different things. Such fun!2 points

Cats! Yea, you all know the story... Too old for animals but I sure love that lil dawg the youngest has. Hadn't seen her in 5 years, youngest said she'd never remember me. WRONG! That lil thing was ALL over me and by my side the entire time I was in Phoenix. Best dawg EVER! i had the couch and she was beside me every nite. Youngest called her a traitor! Only down side was I'd wake up every morning with her butt about 6 inches from my face. hahaha @Full Rangethat is one FANTASTIC album and I'm now on a quest! I'm on youtube and it's insanely good! Thanks!2 points

Not much for me to worry about missing except for my Hurricanes on tv now. I would pull for the next up fave in NCAA football if I could watch that!2 points

Mornin' all still no tv. I'm getting a lot of little things done. got an on topic Q... mark this day on the calendar boy gave us a french press. I could use some tips on its use. I know there is a certain amt of science involved. Water temp. Grind of coffee. Length of steep....2 points

I don't see a third wagon ! You mean the one on the right? Looks like @sputnik was just having fun with B&W to these untrained eyes. Since I framed stuff from calendars to get cheap art to hang I think those would give Ansel a run for his $ if he did close-ups instead of scenic.2 points

My copy is a first Australian pressing But I also recommend you listen to the album I will present next2 points

Gotta agree there but I'm leanin toward the wagons with a bit of a tighter crop. Make the eye follow all the confusion or the wagon's and his use of the thirds rule works great. Just gimme a lil bit more of that distant wagon. That's debatable though imo. The confusion could actually help tell the story but on the other hand some might say i don't see the wagon & I wanna. The chair/shadow shots are over-rated and they're all over the place showing that shadow look. Just my thoughts.2 points

Funny you guys talking about Ludwig, my aunt Nancy worked for Ludwig before they moved out of Chicago. Lost the tips of her fingers running the press cutting the skins for the drums. No boring stories here. Music's ok too2 points
