  7. Funny. The "kid" who I bought the stand from was actually a guy about 50. Army vet so we had some laffs. The dude parked on the street got out a hand truck and rolled it right up to the door. Rolled it inside and my lucky buddy was here to help. hahaha I watched, which is what I should do. Right? πŸ˜‚ He couldn't believe what I was using it for. So for being a good boy I threw on his favorite Johnny Cash album. He was lovin the driver's seat and singin along in no time. πŸ˜‚ I told him the bass cabinet was unhooked and he'd have to stop back to hear the full rig. So nice guy that I am I gave him a nice stand for a 50 gallon fish tank I had. Tooled his lil hand truck right around back, loaded the thing up off the patio and left a happy boy. πŸ˜‚ Told him the neighbors prolly saw something new coming in. Then told him a guy delivering something w/a lil pickup was the equivalent of a LOWE'S truck stopping at their house. 🀣 He'll never be back after 45 minute w/me on a roll. Lawdy, what have I become hanging around here w/you guys & Djane??? πŸ˜‚

  14. Hi, The photographer and his smartphone suck and I failed to pay tribute to him, but the subject is beautiful: The sky of Provence with a beautiful rainbow. The sky of Provence is famous for its colors and its beautiful luminosity, it was painted by great painters who came or come in my region, precisely for this so beautiful sky which illuminates the subjects in a fantastic way: Cezanne, Van Gogh, Renoir , Picasso, Vasarely, Fragonard, Chagall, Cocteau, Signac, Ziem ... and many others. https://www.provence7.com/portails/peinture/peintres-celebres-en-provence/peintres-celebres-de-a-a-z/ There must be photyographers too, moreover near my home there is an international festival of photography every year: the Arles meetings, but here I do not know the subject of photography, nor the names. https://www.rencontres-arles.com/fr/a-propos-du-festival/ ✌️

  23. I went to wally while wife was in the Dr. Snagged a #15 bird for 87 cent/lb. I was OK with that. If we can get another cheaper.... fine. We'll buy. We have a freezer. Grabbed a few turkey dinner stuff while I was there. I wasn't in the store 45min, went back to the Dr office. Waited 5 min and wife was done. We were home in 3 hr.

  28. This was originally written by someone about Facebook; but I see many similarities to the Klipsch forum. Q: How many people does it take to change a lightbulb on Facebook? 1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed. 14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently. 7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs. 17 purists who use candles and are offended by light bulb discussions. 6 to argue over whether it’s β€˜lightbulb’ or β€˜light bulb’. Another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid. 22 to tell THOSE 6 to stop being jackasses. 2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is β€˜lamp’. 15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that β€˜light bulb’ is perfectly correct. 249 to post meme’s and gif’s. 19 to post that this page is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a light bulb page. 11 to defend the posting to this page saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant here. 16 to post β€˜Following’. 36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty. 7 to ask if the brands of light bulbs used are worth the money. 19 to tell them that if they like the light bulbs, buy them. 5 People to post pics of their own light bulbs. 15 People to post β€œI can’t see S$%^!” and use their own light bulbs. 7 to post URLs where one can see examples of different light bulbs. 4 to post that the URLs were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URLs. 13 to comment β€œMe too”. 5 to post to the page that they will no longer post or are leaving because they cannot handle the $!%cking light bulb controversy. 6 to report the post or PM an admin because someone said β€œfΓ·Γ—$” 22 to ask if there is a flounce in progress. 349 to post flounce memes. 4 to say β€œDidn’t we go through this already a short time ago?”. 13 to say β€œDo a search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs”. 1 to bring politics into the discussion by adding that (insert politician of choice) isn’t the brightest bulb. 4 more to get into personal attacks over their political views. 5 admins to ban the light bulb posters who took it all too seriously. 1 late arrival to comment on the original post 6 months later and start it all over again.

  33. I followed your suggestions and put in the plastic plugs. Aesthetically they are more pleasing. It is subtle but a just different feel in the room. Or maybe I am imagining it, perception bias and all that. YMMV.

  34. Very tempted WC. My daughter plays 4 or 5 shows a week, mainly solo acoustic but does have up to a 4 piece band. Her solo stuff 99.9% of the time we use a Bose L1 Compact but we also have a couple of the L1 Model II setups and a few QSC K12.2s. I'd really like to hear her solo with these. The coolness factor would be high as well but then I'd need an amp. It's very tough to beat the L1 compact for ease of setup but I think these would just make her sound so much better. What do you think shipping would be like to the east coast (ALL the way east)?

  41. If you're feeling like throwing some sawdust, you can always make up a new motorboard and re-orient things like I did with my custom KG5.5 center channel. You can at least correct for the horn orientation and the woofers being off to one side this way.

  43. Brian in TX ? and Mike in NY with 1980s prices. I'm less than 200 miles from 40 minutes east of Charlotte almost all the way to Chuck's at the coast slap full of turkeys, pigs and chickens. Holly Farms, Perdue and Smithfield all accounted for. And I've got that freaking $20 runt of a bird in the freezer. F'em. Angus bottom round for $5 a pound and that's a bit better than what I had at home. )*&%^4

  46. I bought a new amp to replace a nice tube amp that I had been running with my Fortes. Now I have knick-knacks that are larger than my entire system. Don't laugh, this stuff sounds amazingly good. The detail in the highs, the clarity and presence in the midrange, the punchiness of bass while maintaining tone and timbre. I swapped out all my amps in three systems for class d chip amps using the Infineon Merus MA12070p chip. It runs counter intuitive, almost like taking a step backwards to go forward. It's cheap, it doesn't impress anyone but it sounds so good.
