  2. Thanks, it will be nice, well considering it's 100 this year.

  3. Some vegetable soup, yes and some meat just because I like meat. It's about 4-5 gallons and has been on since 11 am. Just added the raw meat so it will be ready in an hour or so ?

  12. Recapped and fully gone through recently. Had to give it a go... I'm hoping this is a winner. New version is 15k and I got a basically brand new amp inside for a small fraction of that. Hope I love it. Haven't owned an, amp of the is caliber before.

  13. Back home last night, not going back until Feb. Glad to be home, even if was fun. Got the HT room painted and trimmed, only floors left and room darkining curtains. Then it will be up to Chief Bonehead to set up the sound, hoping it will be a projector and screen depending on $.

  14. Ever make experiments in the kitchen? Yea if you're buzzed, been there done that. But not anymore so I had half a red bell pepper left I didn't want to go soft. Got some buttermilk, increased my recipe 50%. Put a half pound of sausage and cheddar in it... ate half of it yesterday for lunch and dinner. Shared with my bro and finishing the hot coffee out of the road-trip thermos with this is d**n good! I guess sunburn has been busy lately?

  15. Recently made some cable changes in my system that took some “edginess” out of my sound. Installed Cardas Parsec interconnects from my Dac to preamp and Deulund 12ga wire for my HF driver in my 2 way k402 MEH. Sound is smoother, but no less transparent. I have been using First Watt F3 prior, but now put my Pass Xa25 back in. The Ax25 was previously a little “edgy”, but with the new cables the sound is clear, and smoother. A great upgrade for me! YMMV

  16. Our female is due on 11/15. This is her 2nd litter, and she is AKC registered. The male has 2 AKC grand champions in his line, and both are chocolate English labs. These puppies will be chocolate english labs. 8 Weeks puts the estimated date for their forever home, the week of January 10th. Message or respond for more information. The first pic is the momma & the second is the sire. The final pic is a 6 month old female from the momma's only other litter with a yellow sire (also a grand champion bloodline). These are legit, high caliber labs.

  20. The same auction company has another pair (pretty rough looking) in Kingston Springs, TN. KLIPSCH KLIPSCHORNS | Live and Online Auctions on HiBid.com They're currently at $3k with "reserve not met" (47 bids so far). Hopefully they don't have the reserve set to $10k on the nicer pair.

  21. Seriously? Snoop Dogg employs a full-time blunt roller who makes between $40,000 and $50,000 a year. They must be the head of his hospitality division. 😂 😂 😂 Comment

  22. Nope, it does not go with cheese, mustard maby ?
    2 points
  23. Ha Ha reserve not met! Only an auction after you pay at least what the owner wants. In this day and time of crazy prices who knows what they will go for. I am not far away if someone wants to bid and have them stored for a while before they pick them up. Not forever mind you but a decent period of time.

  24. There was more than one place up near there I would have afforded before the ----flation hit punitively. That road could have been the only way to get to one of the many cabins simple to luxurious that have sold up there to urban escapees the last year. Wonder if they would have gotten a permit for access to the road for that purpose. That Ferrari? Maybe inexperience coupled with the ease of getting that machine for a wealthy person. Someone that toils and saves to get something would take better care of it compared to if it's easy to write another check for a replacement.

  25. Depends on the room. I have a room that supports low bass really well and I had them pulled out about two feet. Smaller rooms might not fare as well. But keep in mind your listening position is relative to the distance you move the speakers. You might be in a bass cancellation zone and it would have nothing to do with where the speakers are placed. Just a thought.

  32. Hello VNC Studio ! That A10 and Cornwall III combination is the setup I'll be using (once I open the boxes). The new A10 is here, unopened. I have been so busy moving to my new abode I haven't been able to set up my stuff. I'm moving. Everything is in boxes. This is all new to me. I'd like to ask a few questions if you don't mind - please forgive me and ignore me if you do mind. I'm really happy to find somebody is making this combination work. I'm fascinated with the low watt, low dollar "Chi-Fi" stuff. I thought it might work well with Klipsch speakers. I hope to try my new A10 with my recently acquired old Heresys as well. And some other Klipsch speakers. Do you know how the A10 differs from the A10C? I can't see any difference. Did your A10 come with the Tungsol tubes or did you add those? I assume you added the Voshkod tubes. What did you use before you got the A10? Have you had other tube type amps? Have you ever used a solid state amp with your Cornwall IIIs? How do they compare? I hope to try my new amp without a pre amp and with my Schiit Freya+ pre. And also with a Schiit Saga as pre. Have you used a pre amp with your A10 / Cornwall combination? From your description I assume you are not using a sub woofer. Correct? Are your Cornwalls in corners? If not how far from the corners? How far from the back wall? In his most recent post CoryGilmore says he has his Cornwalls - I think they're IVs - as close to the wall as he can get them for best bass performance. Has that been your experience, too? What kind of speaker cables are you using? I don't want to impose on you any more than I already have so I'll stop here. I hope you'll continue to post. Thanks, geo (Area 51)

  33. Absolutely correct. I have mine shoved as close to the wall as I can while still having an aggressive toe-in. Pulling them out into the room or giving the speakers "room to breathe" pretty much killed all the bass. I don't see how people run them like that and still get enjoyment.

  34. Sounds like fun, 74 is alot, sounds like it to me. Have only been as a spectator, you can see almost anything pass. A 18 wheeler sould be an automatic ticket, but they try to take a short cut without being cought, but could kill someone. The dragon is a shortcut because that's how we first drove on it, it was directions from a local as the shortest way to get where we were going. We had NO idea what we had got into, at the end we stopped and cought our breath, it was at night and if you have never and find it by accident you will never forget it.

  35. Nice looking animals, hope it all worked out well. My fave is a different breed, but been around so many good labs. It's hard to think how given the the right amount of time and training they wouldn't turn out to be great family members.

  36. I use a Reisong A10 with Tungsol EL34s and Voshkod preamp tubes with my Cornwall IIIs. Sounds really beautiful with deep bass. The bass is really dependent on the position of the speakers in relation to the corners and wall behind the speakers.

  39. Well, I pulled the trigger on the R-610Fs - too good a deal to pass up, and that price may not last very long. I'll correspond with the guy in Roswell, and may go check out some of his after I've had a chance to evaluate the R-610s. If I decide I just HAVE to have the big pricey ones, I may be able to re-sell the R-610s to my daughter, who is getting into vinyl and will need some good speakers eventually (gotta get her a turntable and amp first!). Her space and budget are considerably more limited.

  41. Going to a Crites Cornscala from a LaScala is not an upgrade. I have owned both and I say don't do it. That said, you could benefit more from a subwoofer upgrade. I can't imagine a 12" driver is keeping up with a pair of horn loaded 15" drivers. I own a pair of HSU subs, so I'm not putting yours down, I just think you could benefit from more displacement. A pair of 15" sealed subs is just what the doctor ordered until you can go with a huge horn loaded sub.

  43. Hi to all of you that like to eat! This might not look like much but having to take stuff out of boxes to do it I'm hungry so I'll do the refried beans tomorrow and I've already got the tortilla chips out. Steamed beef tamales, the rice made with bacon drippings from the 1.5lbs of Wrights that I just cooked and a salsa with a little heat to it with cheddar of course. No beer lately but a shot of bourbon after I chase dinner down with iced tea I have habitually with everything all day long will be nice. Clapton in the background following that Jimmy Rodgers All-Stars youtube lp. Ahhhh. Make each day count!

  45. To expand on this ^ My first encounter was Mon night . Pulled off at the Tennessee line to layer up . Within a minute a Bob Tail cruised through . Didn't think much of it until a Tractor Trailer with a full head of steam rolled through . It had to be a Smokey and the Bandit moment . The bobtail was to clear the road followed by the Snowman . All fine and dandy except I was tearing down that road less than 2 minutes earlier which kinda soured me to night passes .

  46. When you say Powerline Wifi Booster do you mean the type you plug in and it just repeats and extends the wifi ? I used this one in the past (first pic) to reach a shop 80' from the house, it worked 80% of the time, because of distance. https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Wi-Fi-Range-Extender-EX6120/dp/B014YN7LVE/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=wifi%2Bextender&qid=1637025251&sr=8-5&th=1 I just recently changed to a true powerline adapter (second pic) and it works great 100% signal all the time inside a metal building. It plugs into an outlet and a ethernet cable connects to your router. It puts the internet into your existing house wireing, another one is plugged into any other outlet and it also has an Ethernet cable to connect to another router or directly into a device and the signal is as good as connectiong into the first router. https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-AV1000-Powerline-Ethernet-Adapter/dp/B08M13B8B6/ref=sr_1_3?_encoding=UTF8&c=ts&keywords=Powerline%2BComputer%2BNetwork%2BAdapters&qid=1637026199&s=pc&sr=1-3&ts_id=1194444&th=1 With either of these I had no noise at all, both are used for audio/stereo with some effecient speakers which well show any static or noise. The second setup I explained is going through a circuit with 3 other outdoor outlets and about 250' long, works great. The first pic is the one that is just a booster. Second is the one that useses the house wire and by far the best in my case anyway.

  47. First step in room treatment complete - installed ceiling duffusers. It is an area of 3 by 3 meters. Half of it (13 pieces) is filled with 2D diffusers (600Hz-2200Hz diffusion) and the rest (12 pieces) are 1D diffusers which should work between 2200-6800Hz. Hope, that mixing 1D and 2D diffusion is not a big deal. The reason i decided to go this way is cost savings. Building 2D diffusors with 23 wells to necessary to cover the whole bandwidth would cost a lot more for me than to build half as much 7 well 2D diffusers and the rest 1D diffusers. Next up are bas traps and back wall diffusers. Oh and a carpet.
