Hi, @Mossy bottom Related to your pretty discs of Western Spagetti movie soundtracks A little off topic, sorry everyone, but a photo of my motorbike in the Tabernas desert in Spain Andalusia, where the Spaghetti westerns were filmed: splendid! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabernas_Desert Famous films were filmed at Tabernas : Un taxi pour Tobrouk, Cleopatra, Lawrence of Arabia, A fistful of Dollars, Once Upon A Time In The West, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, My Name is Nobody, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_shot_in_Almería ✌️8 points

Dave, Real nice run of Traffic records. I'm keeping with this soundtrack gig I have going. This next soundtrack was a real popular film in my circle of friends. Not because of the blonde on the motorcycle...It had some great musicians contributing like Mountain, Delaney & Bonnie, Jerry Reed, Big Mama Thornton! Vanishing Point8 points

Traffic's 1971 release of Low Spark is still one of his favorite albums of theirs. Just pushes all the buttons.7 points

Hi Erich ....unfortunately, I don't have much time to devote to my audio hobby and music at the moment, but I'm doing well. Nice that you ask about me, I remember great hours, together with BobPezz and GWS in the " right this minute thread " man what we had fun. See you and Nipper as soon as I can.4 points

Hey, just pulled it up on the tv. Watched the first half hour, heard a flute and an oboe I think doing several quick stanzas. Yep it fits the nature of their interaction. Did not hear that quick four note downward almost scale that bugged me in one of those movies. Been ages since I watched any but I can hear that noise now!4 points

That was supposed to go to the Youtube video thread. 😀 The Bon Ami will scratch everything around the glass but just wet, rub and rinse. Lots of good ideas here, don't forget the inside of the glass.4 points

That's the one with the four note downscale flute noise all through it. One of the better ones for the storyline & having Shirley in it!4 points

It was this album, after Dave Mason had joined as a full fledged member of the band, that opened my eyes and ears to Traffic and Steve Winwood, and Chris Wood and Jim Capaldi. Out of all the terrific stuff this group did, this was probably their finest.4 points

"something to make us all happy ... please don't be sad if it was a straight mind you had we wouldn't have known you all these years" ... ... or something like that. My memory isn't what it used to be. Tell us about that 180 remaster, Dave. I-O4 points

When I moved into this place I was perplexed when the back windows had streaks after cleaning. The pool robot’s tail was spraying the salt water pool water on them. Even though it was a salt water pool it was etching the glass. I took lemon halves to scrub the glass which helped a lot and bought a robot that didn’t exhaust the water overboard. I also used lemon to clean the water spots off of my shower glass cubes and door. Give it a try.4 points

And, if the spots are really tough, try a 1/4 cup of ammonia per gallon of water and Dawn. The lambs wool scrubber and elbow grease will help, too.4 points

It's simple. RTFM! Ya have to clean first then dry it off with soft cotton towels... talking car paint here. If and when the clay bar scarfs up soil, you turn it immediately so a scratch can't occur. It is a time consuming process, maybe NuFinish 2000 was better3 points

I had paint protective film applied to the M3 forward of the front doors including the windshield. Spray with water connected to water softener and the bugs wash away; harder one might take just a finger rub to come off. The PPF and ceramic coating was worth the expense.3 points

For bug dirty windshields try 0000 steel wool using glass cleaner as a lubricant. Finish with clean glass cleaner, I prefer Sprayway, and a clean microfiber. As clean as my windshields have ever been. No, this method Does Not scratch glass.3 points

It’s a crazy world. As much as I’m enjoying the success of The Spartans under Mel Tucker, something is wrong about his salary at the same time the university cuts swimming and diving.3 points

As a former professional window cleaner, I do not recommend this. Clean newsprint paper, perhaps, but nothing with print on it. The old carbon-based inks would transfer to the glass making it "sparkle" but it was not clean. I can't tell you how many houses I cleaned where the black yuck dripped off the window. Almost as bad as tobacco smoke residue. Water and a bit of Dawn dish liquid is the secret recipe of most pros. Add a little vinegar if the windows are particularly dirty. The real secret on home windows is to use a good quality squeegee, but that is pretty difficult on curved car windows. Go for the microfiber towel.3 points

James Franklin gets paid more than Ryan Day and deservedly so after calling plays like this. Hard to watch....again 1. Nick Saban, Alabama -- $9.753 million 2. Ed Orgeron, LSU -- $9.012 million 3. Dabo Swinney, Clemson -- $9.508 million 4. David Shaw, Stanford -- $8.924 million 5. Lincoln Riley, Oklahoma -- $7.672 million 6. Dan Mullen, Florida -- $7.57 million 7. Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M -- $7.5 million 8. Kirby Smart, Georgia -- $7.133 million 9. James Franklin, Penn State -- $7 million 10. Ryan Day, Ohio State -- $6.614 million2 points

Heard Doyle the 2nd first on one of those six hour long Crossroads Festival on the tube years ago. Like love his style of music. But wtf is that girl-scarf in his hair? Gary Clark Jr✅ Arc Angels✅ and the list goes on..... Thanks for the bookmarks! Don't feel like crying, but I like this one:2 points

The insulated world of academia has been going off the rails for years. FB/BB coaches are generally the highest paid state employees. Most schools have/are becoming easy landing spots for tenured leftist professors at the tax payers expense. Football/basketball programs played with “the student athlete” are nothing more than profit centers = NFL/NBA lite -2 points

Mmmm, a healthy shot of Dawn in warm water doesn't leave water spots w/all the emulsifiers in it I bought a lambs wool scrubber & good squeege @ Lowe's for about $30. Hit it easy, rinse w/the hose and hit it with the squeege. Get any lines of water on the glass just Bounty it off and around the edges. Cake.2 points

Good to know, someone who cleaned houses and condos told me that, i never tried it and glad I didn't now. What is good to get water spotsoff the outside of a window ?2 points

I bought a set a couple years ago, refinished them, and then realized I didn't really have a place for them and sold them to a friend. The were 1982's that had never been finished, so I took a router to the corners, glued and filled issue areas, sanded, pre-treated, stained, and poly'd them. I also braced them, swapped out the drivers for CT-120's, A-55-G's, and CW1228's. I also put the crossovers on smaller boards and used new capacitors, then finished off with some foam lining. For the grilles, I had new ones cut and finished them with 70th anniversary material and new badges. The grilles also attach with magnets as I sunk some screws into the baffle. The new owner loves them and they are his first Klipsch speakers after looking for some time. I hope I don't regret selling these after we move and I find I have space for them (La Scalas are staying).2 points
