Prompted me to share, hope you don't mind. I paid $1118.25 including California state sales tax for my first pair of La Scalas. Purchased from a lovely lady named Rita from a little shop on Shattuck in Berkeley. Of course it was 1975 and I was 18 at the time, HaHa! I had saved $518.25 from my job in the Stereo dept. of a local TV & Stereo store in Merced, Ca..I took out a personal loan for the remaining $600.00 from the local branch of Bank of America just down the street. Great days indeed!

Ain't that the truth. If I ever move out of here to downsize, maybe I'll have a home built with a custom audio room with no doors and windows. There's just a seat that gets lowered through a hatch in the ceiling. 😂

Well ... long story. Now 99% sure Onk is working just fine Thanks to the "experts" here I was sure my Onk had major problems. So; replaced it with a Yamaha RX-V673 which gave me the same problems. But ... turned out I was just stupid as I tried my subwoofer with CD's that DID NOT have a subwoofer track Once I put in a "surround-sound" DVD everything was fine. And, my surround speakers not working was due to it being switched to "direct," which only gives L/R Still have the Yamaha hooked up, but major problem with that unit is that HDMI inputs are NOT transferred to "zone-2." Need that to drive my Crown/KPT-904's/HF top. Oh well; lesson learned; back to the Onk And, many kudo's to @Khornukopia who graciously let me cancel the $1 sale Cheers, Emile

That's why I put the smirk under that Sir! Some swear by it, some argue vehemently against it. Do think the 6AK5 variant of tubes I have might mellow a bit in a month or so though! I won't touch the cable things I was practically attacked over again. Unless you read my opinion at my page. Of course I jest.

While the Heritage Jubilee guys might not need it... Perhaps everyone else could use a half height horn loaded Heritage Subwoofer.

If I got the 325s then I'd probably be compelled to go active and replace the K-691 with Axi2050. 😁 Going fully horn-loaded with La Scala is the rabbit hole I'll probably go down for now if I do something other than the KLF-30. Of course, I may be compelled to turn those into JubScala at some point. I'm hoping at some point I'll just be happy with what I have. 🙂

A bit of a rhetorical question... Can those who have the Undergrounders...... look lovingly at the new Heritage Jubilee sort of as a grandchild? Yeah, creepy.....I know. Still...just wondering, for a friend of course. I'm looking forward to many pictures and commentary....so I'll go hang that door or paint the room for a 6th time as I wait. (yeah, sixth, don't ask.....the wife didn't like the shade of color the first five times)

Guys, We all love reminiscing about prices from the old days and I am no different. However, this thread is about the arrival of the new version of the Klipsch Jubilees (possibly the first pair actually shipped to a customer). The OP has had the patience of a saint waiting for these and all of us want to vicariously share in his excitement and joy. This is my long-winded way of suggesting that we get this thread back on track and learn more about the reveal and first impressions. -Tom

I've got a pair of the RP-600M IIs hooked up for about six weeks now. No experience with HT, 2.1 has been it so far. Variables come into play, as always. Until I tweaked what I was putting into them there wasn't much resemblance to the Heritage sound. With their size did not expect it. So, I got different tubes, made other changes. Now I have more realistic vocals, instruments and the imaging! To me they remind me of the Klipsch Heritage Sound that I know and love! Or did they "break in"?

I'm using the 13 ft wall. If I use the 17 ft outside wall (on the right in the picture) I'll be blocking the window and part of that entrance way (which is the main entry into the room). If I use the opposite 17 ft wall, then I'd have to back the seating up against the windows. Not keen on doing either. Today I was experimenting with the furniture in the room, placing the couch in the middle facing where the Jubilee will be.

This is perphaps an odd question... But, I always read all over the web about the "klipsch sound." I recently invested in the 8000f and 600m generation 2. Based on a video review of the 8000f generation 1, reviewers are saying it's a very "neutral" tower speaker. 1. If you've heard the 8000f or 600m in-person, does it still have the "klipsch sound" ? 2. Just clarifying, does the "Klipsch sound" just mean the sound is forward facing and really clear, as opposed to laid back, flat, and bass heavy? Thank you

I read it, I'm going to order the R-52C in a few. I know Klipsch has different line of speakers, and the R-52C is in their Reference line so does that mean any other Reference speaker is designed to work with any other Reference speaker? Also what lines of speakers are say entry level up to the top? Thank You for the replies.

I’ve been very happy for the last 12 months also (which is stark contrast to the years previous ) just move them back towards wall about 6” away / slightly toe’d in, and got some better imaging as a result. I’m so happy with these CW’s!!

Here in Canada, a pair of new La Scala AL5s cost around $18,000 Cdn and AK6 Klipschorns are $25,000 Cdn a pair. Then there are federal and provincial taxes, unless you live in Alberta, which has no provincial sales tax. I wonder how many speakers can be sold at those prices? It sure makes me cherish my mint La Scala IIs, which I bought from a fellow Forum member.

combine the RP160Ms with a TubeCube (3.5wpc with 2x EL84 tubes) and this is the 'best bang for the buck' ever!

OK, I'm a moron. @Schu warned me about having the rubber feet of the processor on the veneer of the DSP. Right after that, I ordered the stuff I needed to put in another glass shelf in the rack to avoid this. I also meant to put some felt or something under the feet until that stuff came. However, my son called me and told me he was stranded a few towns over with a dead battery. So, I left to handle that and forgot about the step. Well, the stuff for the shelf arrived today and I got that in place. Unfortunately, in just three days the feet made these faint partial rings on the veneer. I won't see them when the unit is in place, but knowing they are there is annoying. I tried a damp cloth, Murphy's Oil Soap, and Tibet Almond Stick. No luck with those. Any other suggestions?

I look at it like this. I put in new tubes or I roll tubes they sound great. If there is breakin they just sound a bit better. When I build a new amp or get a new piece of gear I just let it play for a week without turning it off. That way I know it is stable...

Someone is going to have to pay me to read all of that.

@Larry1974GD Re: Audio Quality There is a lot of information about things that can impact audio quality if you search online. There is no way this issue can be explained in a few paragraphs here. The sound levels you obtain when using an analogue or Bluetooth input depend on the source. If the sound from the soundbar is not loud enough, increase the sound level at the source. Again, audio quality also depends on the source material. If you are listening to old MP3 files, it doesn't matter what type of connection to the soundbar you have, the audio quality will be poor. Most TVs will pass through audio from one of its inputs to the HDMI-ARC as-is without converting it so while the HDMI-ARC (or eARC) has a much higher bandwidth than other connections and can support higher quality audio, it can't improve or change the audio quality it sees on its other inputs. If you are listening to audio only from external sources, you are better off connecting those sources directly to your Cinema 600 using the Digital (optical) input if you can. If not, use the analogue or Bluetooth inputs. You will get the best audio quality from your TV using the HDMI-ARC connection. This will allow you to use your TV's CEC functions to turn the soundbar on/off and control the volume using the TV remote. The Cinema 600 supports "Dolby Audio" but there are many types and only the most basic one, Dolby Digital, is supported. Dolby Digital can provide 5.1 surround sound via the HDMI-ARC or Digital connection but it cannot be considered high quality audio. Dolby Digital Plus can provide "CD Quality" audio but only via HDMI-ARC or HDMI-eARC. Unfortunately, the Cinema 600 cannot decode Dolby Digital Plus. If you want higher quality audio and higher sound levels from your Surround 3s, you might want to consider a Cinema 800. It will work with your existing Surround 3s. It has two HDMI connections on the soundbar so you will not be restricted by any limitations your TV may have. It supports Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Atmos, Dolby HD, and more. It supports HDMI-eARC so if your TV also has HDMI-eARC your soundbar will be able to process higher quality audio from your TV. Dolby Atmos provides precise positioning of specific sounds: front to back; left to right; up and down. The Cinema 800 does not support any up/down positioning and there is no way to connect additional speakers needed for full Atmos positioning but it does support Dolby Atmos, provides better positioning of sound than does Dolby Digital and provides much higher quality audio. I hope this helps...

Still working on it, but never posted a picture so here it is: Speakers: RF-7s left and right, RC-7 center, RB-75 side surrounds, RS-7 rear surrounds, RSX-5 Atmos(4) and 5 RSW-15s(4 up front and 1 near field between seats). Monster HTPS-7000, Yamaha RX-A3070, Outlaw 5000x, Panasonic DMP-UB900, Nvidia Shield Pro and LG CX 65" OLED.

Well, any updates? I (like many others here) enjoy a good "saving Klipsch Heritage" thread! Don't be fooled by an ohm meter. That is just one way to see if it is working or not. No guarantee that it is working properly. I had a pair of k55V (solder lug) in my LSi splits that tested fine, sounded, not so fine. I swapped them out and the speakers came back to life. I eventually replaced the diaphragms in them and tried them in a pair of Super Heresy that I was building and they sound absolutely wonderful again. Have fun with these speakers, they are worth the effort.

I went industrial look for mine, not pretty. I already had Belles for that. These are knock around, use in my shop or outdoors. Still going strong 6+ years later. Added a recapped AA xover and more recently Dave A's fabulous SMAHL 120 tweeters.

The Chinese (some) are like Trelain from Star Trek In "The Squire of Gothos". Trelain was looking at Earth, but the Earth of the past.
