26° this morning. Weatherman is talking an inch or two of....snow. Oh well.3 points

The past two days are the first time this year we have really really needed the furnace running. It was 20° when I put the kids on the bus this morning. We got our first sign of snow yesterday morning as well with a teeny bit of frozen precipitation. Way later for this sort of thing than normal.3 points

Back to the Great First Record remark above. In my lifetime of Rock listening I think Van Halen's first LP is phenomenal, Boston's first is right up there, but it was soft-rock. Today, after the Pantera: Baba Yaga!2 points

And if you had the precip I've got here today you'd have a half foot of snow right now. 43 now don't think it will go higher, but 60 is nice in my listening zone. Don't even know if you wanna know who's been jammin' here besides Pantera today!1 point

The 3M 300LSE is the way to go. Sticks well and can still peel off if need be. I tested a piece of uncleaned cloth last night and it stuck together very well.1 point

I’ve had a Bar 48 sound bar for just over 2 years. One of my side speakers just stopped working (like won’t even come in). I think I need to replace it. How do you do that? Doesn’t seem to be an option on the website. Thanks!!1 point

I had considered this. I've been noodling selling a revised embodiment of this amplifier and, to know how it behaves over a range of operating conditions becomes an issue. The performance with a tube rectifier from 110 to 125VAC on the primary is largely unaffected based on what I've measured. So, what's unaffected mean? Power v. %THD at 20, 500, 1,000, 5000, 10000Hz similar, FFT of components similar, sound same.1 point

1. Local piano mover is the only way to fly. They are trained, in shape, have the proper equipment, and have proper insurance. We even reimburse this expense up to $500. Your typical freight company who offers white glove can’t do it. Dealers aren’t typically going to send an army of four people to move them unless the installation is very easy. Liability and risk of moving these things where stairs or other obstacles are involved is just too high. Letting us pay you to hire a local piano mover is the best solution. 2. last I checked they are still making 75th on demand. They did not fill up all the allocated spots. That may have changed very recently but I doubt it. Most of my guys are on a budget and the special editions are harder to move or else I would have stocked some. I do have the walnuts in stock. Zero wait. But I think I can still get some 75th.1 point

It’s only the 5th inflation thread in the last 6 months, which doesn’t include off topic inflation related posts in threads like garage sale. They all went off the rails in less than a day. Trying to figure out what a Catholic family who apparently has English as a second language has to do with inflation or why and even mid-term elections on gas prices. so food prices have been stable for several years there, it’s just resturant prices that are completely out of whack?1 point

Thought it was a good discussion and helpful to the OP Oh well; the Klipsch Gestapo killed it (again). Really getting very tired of this "new approach."1 point

There are other forums where you can freely discuss what you like to do to speakers you own without it being frowned upon. Many have migrated.1 point

Sorry to hear that. Last year I was lined out to buy a V Strom 1000, but started have major dizzy attacks, even laying down. Luckily that went away. The engine is a part of the frame Stock photo of the 1200s model. i raced Daytona 2 times. 2005 I started last and finished 4th. 2006 I won. It was Club racing. I raced WERA and AHRMA. I raced BOT (Battle of the Twins) on an SV650, such a great bike. The engine on the VStrom is a tuned differently same enging as the SV. I like the thump of the twin.1 point

Weird fact…..when I knew I was to do some serious listening to speakers, I avoided loud noises. I didn’t listen to the radio to work. Kept the windows closed in my car and got up before I wife would bark out orders on what I needed to do. I wanted my ears fresh. Does anyone else do that? Or is it just a weird chief bonehead thing?1 point
