  1. Then why are you here? Looks like the topic is about comparing the two Jubilees. What does that have to do with Danley? Ugly set up btw.

  2. Well said. I was hoping it was good intentions and got in over his head, had some illness down time, but many red flags. What caused me a great deal of concern was CBH listed 3 or 4 amps in Garage Sale, and He was posting left and right on technical issues and I never saw the amps got delivered. So I PM and ask, what’s the status, no amps Well we can’t have that, so tried to give time for a resolution. Parts, amps, etc, CBH agreed and then nothing. It’s bitter sweet, a lot of people liked his technical contributions, but a lot of people were upset that he was spending tons of time posting but their forum friends didn’t have their amps.

  4. Hello Friends! Ok, went through 3 pages back, left my laughs and likes . Today while cleaning and other house chores, I decided to dig up an LP I had not played in a while. All because I was watching one of my youTube audio reviewers this morning, and he was playing a Joan Armatrading tune. So, brought up the A&M / Altec Lansing demo LP from the Music Hall and put it on the livingroom system.

  6. I am sorry to see that you and WestCoast never received your Amps and that no matter what excuses CBH gave you guys it doesn't make any sense that he could not have sent you images of the builds in progress. It is sad that in todays world integrity of so many people has ceased to exist. Cant the moderators here ban members like CBH?

  8. Doesn’t matter, you come off like you are bat shit crazy and in the middle of a major manic episode. What”s clear, is that whatever you think you are hearing is obscured by a cloud of delusion possibly associated with a chemical imbalance or self medication. Take care of yourself.

  9. Politely I ask you what is nonsense about it The asian doctrine states that there are five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. The art is to bring these into a balanced relationship, so that the Chi, the life energy can flow. Through the targeted use of materials, colors and shapes, a room can be harmonized or certain effects can be achieved. The goal of Feng Shui is to establish the harmonious and productive cycle of the elements, and to identify and correct negative and inhibiting factors within the elemental cycle. At first, this principle may sound complicated, but feng shui is all about setting up intuitively and listening to your inner voice.

  11. I think you do a great job moderating, very fair and knowledgeable. It’s got to be difficult when you run across people who just want to insult and annoy others , you did just fine 🤓

  12. My apologies for continuing to engage with the unhinged competitive products promoter and bloating this thread. In my defense, it gets my blood boiling when someone who hasn't even been in the same room with the new Jubilee thinks they know what that speaker can or can't do. I decided to call him out on it. I should have left it at that. I'll close with saying that the Heritage Jubilee is a considerable improvement over the Underground Jubilee. If you can find a place to audition it, you should. It might be a good reason to go to the upcoming PWK Birthday Bash on March 8-11 in Hope. 🙂

  13. Hmmmm, I had a less than positive experience with CBH over some tubes. Only the 2nd bad transaction I've ever had on the forum. This was a long time ago shortly after he showed up and before (I think) all the talk about building amps for forum members. In then end it was not catastrophic but lots of the same sort of stuff I am reading here about excuse after excuse after excuse.... Given the new direction the form was heading (Extreme moderation, Randy 😁, general bad vibes and thousands of youtube posts)I felt it best to bite my tongue (er, keyboard) and not have a public dust up. I kind of regret that now because I've had great transactions with WestCoastWhatEverHisNameIsThisWeek and very pleasant back and froths with Shakey. Had I felt more comfortable speaking up maybe they would have had second thoughts. Water under the bridge and Hindsight at this time I suppose.😐

  14. There’s nothing to criticize about the Jubilee bass bin . The uninformed however may wrongly believe that some sort of compromise was made because Klipsch engineers decided to take advantage of the woofer back wave to augment the lowest bass frequencies, the heritage Jubilee’s back chamber is vented into its 20 hz horn with great effect and flat to 18 hz , much more impressive than your system’s 25 hz ( I thought you cared about low bass). I’ve heard the Danley’s in a home setting, I thought that they sounded unbalanced for the room, they needed equalization in my opinion. Your negative Jubilee rhetoric just doesn’t carry any weight on a Klipsch forum , or any forum really, just silly unfounded opinion. The Klipsch Jubilee deserves respect, as do other great speakers , including some products made by Danley .

  15. The One is a nice speaker - A friend of mine bought one - he's not into audio that much but he appreciates the sound quality - it does sound good. BTW, my own wife wasn't that enamored with my purchase. lol. Her first question to me was "How much did those cost?" I told her $350. She replied - "Oh Je#$%" - lol

  16. Awesome, after searching all of the other classifieds, it was last on my list. Thanks for pointing it out. I will be doing some extensive research today on this unit. Stayed as hopefully I will be making a purchase.

  17. I've been using a SR5015 for my TV room for the past 2 years with great success. It appears there have been comments on Audioholics that the Marantz has better SQ over the Integra. The older AV8802a is still a solid piece, unfortunately its still runs a premium on the used market. If I can get one from a reputable seller for under $1800, Id jump on it. Even a AV7702/3 would work.

  18. Not much about this on the news... c/p asteroid 2023 BU Most asteroids pass beyond the distance of the Moon. This one is far closer. On Thursday, Jan. 26 at 21:17 Universal Time (16:17 EST) asteroid 2023 BU will get to within 6,137 miles/9,877 kilometers of Earth's center. That's only about 2,178 miles/3,506 kilometers above its surface.

  19. My ProMedias arrived yesterday afternoon - the first good sign was/is the heft of the box. I could tell it was a substantial system. The sub is massive - I've had Altec Lansing and Boston Acoustics 2.1 computer speaker systems - and this dwarfs the subs in those. Anyway, to make a long story short - I've had them for 16 hrs as I write this - they're wonderful. By far the best sounding computer speakers I've ever owned. I tried them with both analog and in Bluetooth. In Bluetooth mode, the remote integrates wonderfully with my Windows 10 laptop. Also, they look very sophisticated and elegant on my desk - not some little plastic 'jewel cubes' but real speakers. I love seeing the classic Klipsch logo on my desk.

  20. I think he should return the money, if that is what you want, finish the amp whenever time is on his side, be it another year from now, and offer it to you first at the agreed upon price. If not wanted others may have the option to buy it at the actual finished cost, which will no doubt be more.

  21. Yep, I'd do nylon, glue, and yes duct tape before anything that conducts electricity (older versions of duct tape had some % aluminum in the composition). I assume you meant bronze coated steel, pure bronze is not magnetic.

  22. Hold the phone. I will read it, I promise. However, don’t we have 2 or 3 people measuring the inductors with brass screws and they measure what they are supposed to measure. If that’s the case isn’t it meaningless? Did Bonehead say non-magnetic stainless or brass. You all laughed when I said duct tape, I bet some of you are not laughing now. “That ‘ill be five dollars”

  33. That is incorrect. There are multiple Certified Heritage Dealers where you can audition the Jubilee. You do not have to "buy blind". Also, I like my speakers to look like wood furniture.

  34. You're correct. I don't. That's why I used the words "I doubt" instead of "I know". It was based on a look at the spec sheet for the SM96. I wasn't saying the Danleys are not capable. I am just doubting your assertion that those Danelys will outrun "even the large Klipsch" which includes new Jubilee. However, have you heard the Heritage Jubilee?

  35. I would suggest looking at a Sony STR-ZA3100ES or STR-ZA5000ES and see if they have the features you’re looking for. As far as 4k, yes, depending on what you’re connecting to it you’d want to make sure the receiver can handle things like Dolby Vision, HDR, Atmos, etc if your source provides that format.

  36. This is the article that started it all. Thanks to Jim Hunter. Then there was this PWK schematic that was related to the article. It isn't secret it iwas wall art at Klipsch in Hope. We were the first to build it 8-) since PWK in 1946. My friend Chris made some minor changes here and there. PWK's electronic crossover and this schematic is what we did. You could do similar with traditional outputs. Ain't nuthin stopping ya 8-) It could easily be a 2A3 version..Since there was no power supply we went overboard. This was on the wall at the museum... Been looking at it for years.

  40. I could not be happier with the new capacitor replacement kits from JEM. Listening to a pair side by side (one uncapped and the other with new caps) has a noticeable difference. The uncapped one sounded a bit “muddy”. Well worth the time, money and effort to recap them.
