Me too, except I don't remember when I joined. I agree and even though we had our differences hope you and Christy are doing well.2 points

I've been wasting time here for over 20 years LOL! Not so much lately, just the occasional pop in. My first Pilgrimage was the 2004 gathering in Indy. Here are a few photos from the hotel meeting room: My brother and I (me on the right) Dean adjusting Trey's vertical Cornwalls Trey and Audio Flynn Forum members just chilling and listening to the music - the way the Pilgrimages used to be More listening at 2 am2 points

March 2003, it's all kind of A blur, kind of taking a break for now except for the museum. Met MANY good people here and in person, to many to count.2 points

This thread really devolved into a shitshow, but I don't care cause I just added a pair of T9/x subs to my Cornwall IVs and it's incredible. I tried both input methods and decided I got more output with high level and just better speed.1 point

Hey @Tarheel you better pick up a couple dozen donuts in the morning. Pretty quiet in here this summer.1 point

I am still a young chick here, since December 2019. Initially I was mainly interested in the technical content, but I gave up because it's pointless to give anyone technical advice. In the end, everyone does what they think is right anyway. Since then I've kept a low profile and have found friends in the Lounge from America, Australia and Europe with whom I exchange , especially in the Vinyl Record Spinning thread from @Full Range Still makes fun .......1 point

I wouldn't remember either but it's on the top of the page when you click profile, unless account was changed and restarted. I don't even remember, either way it's no big deal. There was only one subject/person who ever got me fired up and it was not you or Mark D. Yes really glad to see that, Hope you are good Trey.1 point

Fwiw, I've enjoyed the majority of your posts. Did I mention I had 10,000 posts deleted? 😮 Ha! I only have 1 warning point and they let me back in so we good. 😁 {Note: Btw, we still have 2 Multichannel Klipsch Home Theaters goin' and appreciate them every day.}1 point

Sold locally. He sent me a picture (below) and has them now sitting next to his pair of Klipsch CF-2's. I'm glad they went to another Klipsch fan!1 point

Martin Logan has been at this for a while, why would you think they don't know what they are doing? Powered subwoofers with speaker level inputs is a mature tech and well understood, there is nothing to worry about.1 point

I saw them in Vegas in 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed the show despite it only being 5 weeks since a knee replacement. Never a huge fan but liked several of their songs. I was there for a convention and a supplier gave me tickets or I would never have gone. Glad I got those tickets. They had a good run.1 point

20 years and 8500 posts. Not much lately, been bogged down with caring for an ex wife (it was a perfect marriage-five states apart!) Learned tons and had a lot of fun. Many wonderful people here and too many sadly departed. PS I'd have a higher post count but my thread "Sex Sells!" got deleted.1 point

Thanks kindly! I thought the system sounded better than anything I had previously heard but I have since worked on iterating on all the different parts of it to arrive at something even better. I've been the beneficiary of all the wisdom on the forum from various team members and I have iterated on the following in roughly this order - amps (feel like mc225 is ideal for HF but First Watt has also sounded great) - preamps (settled on my Bozak mixer) - dac (moving from Bluesound nodex to NAD C658) - dirac use (about to start experimenting when it arrives next week) - room tuning (wow - what a difference bass traps make in clearing up muddy bass) I intend to write up my diary of experiments and share but I feel like half the magic is the speakers and the other half amps, room, room correction, etc...I'm not there yet but it sure is fun getting there. best, Sasha1 point

We're rearranging our house but here's my current setup at the moment, i apologize if the pictures suck, off my droid eris phone. Forte II Fronts, Academy Center. I just only recently got into vinyl, on the small coffee table is a Pro-ject RM4 w/Denon 110 cart going to a Hagerman Bugle Preamp kit cased up and sitting on the left of the TV. My roommate decided to migrate his computer system to the living room for a bit to game hehe. Rears - Quartets - Not seen in the picture but behind the couch is an SVS PB-12 Plus/2 sub My room has been recently rearranged by the Girlfriend, and my roommates ex wife has recently moved in so our 7.1 surround sound system has been downgraded to a 5.1 so the side surrounds Quartets haved been moved into my room for 2-channel duty, hooked up to a Panasonic SA-XR57 via digital coax, behind the desk is a Velodyne DPS-12 sub ;p1 point

Listening to the Reminder on my setup right now, her other disc's are just as good. Former member from Broken Social Scene.1 point

Thems are definitely my dream speakers, congrats, ill have to move to a bigger house before i can sneak some of those in here. Anybody looking for a soul, will trade straight up for some Jubs! wait nvm .... ill probably need it to enjoy them, then again i do have two kidney's.1 point

Got two nice decks : Teac 3340S Technics RS-1506 They both work fine, but i think would benefit from a good tune up or a trip to the repair shop, the technics sounds like it might need new heads or something else might be going on, doesnt seem to have as much headroom or highs that the teac has, imma gonna to get to it someday, unemployed at the moment so that'll have to wait. Got about 60 classical tapes prerecorded tapes and a whole bunch of recorded ones, a nice craiglist steal, got it all with the teac for 5 bucks sometime ago.1 point

I plan to, with a couple tweaks in the works, good old burn in, and I in no way spent 10k on my setup.. Forte II - 400 bux Quartets Surrounds - 250 Quartets SurroundBacks - 200 Academy Center- 380 HK 354 - 516 shipped Panny 57 - 170 SVS PB12/Plus - 500 U can thank craigslist for my Klipsch finds.1 point
-
Hmmm... The new panny bx-500 s upsampling features are nill but it does support 1080p, has more inputs, more wattage, remains digital and has slightly warmer sounding mosfets to take the edge off, http://www.jr.com/panasonic/pe/PAN_SABX500/#productTabDetails - I'm going to try to tweak the HK's sound further, i like what i hear, soundstage wise, the warmth is nice, but with a little more top end sparkle it would be just T*Ts, we'll see what happens with the power cables and the conditioner my friends bringing over.1 point
