I have heard that listening to music promotes the physical healing process. Even though the stitches from the surgery are still in my spine and I feel like a wild boar, every meter of walking demands immense strength from me, I have to listen to music again ....... Spyro Gyra " catching the sun " is a good start btw ..I reactivated my DIY german MI / MM Tube Phono Pre " SteinMusic " PCC 88 with external psu, haven´t used it for more than two years now . For this phono stage I use NoS PCC 88 Tubes from Valvo, Siemens Munich and Tesla4 points

Lawdy, this place is starting to creep me out. Started a thread long ago on PWK's lil blue book, which I think was a Dope From Hope book. I'd written a book report on the LS speaker design for 8 or 9th grade. Flashback! Was sitting here thinking about my old DJ days in high school. How I had it ALL fingered out. So started nosin after a thread comment. 😂 I'd read the pamphlet and done my lil book report Then progressed more into my lil DJ mode. Was sitting here thinking about the Bogen amp that fit inside a couple speaker cabinets. I had a Garrard table with a plinth cut out of half inch plywood which had a box type lid w/a handle on it and a couple metal buckle clips to attach the two pieces. The cover had a handle on it so I could carry it wherever. hahaha Then just decided to nose to see if I could find the speakers. Crazy! Sold on Reverb Nation for $150. hahahaha Think mid-60's. Think two pieces to carry in and a couple metal boxes of the latest greatest 45's! Throw in the bell bottom & tie dye w/some cheap sunglasses? The pacesetter has arrived! roflmao! You want a piece of me? Badazzzzz! 😂4 points

Apart from Caravanserai This is my favourite Santana album I have the 1970 Aust pressing and a 1972 Quadraphonic Japan pressing and the mix is more engaging with more instruments included- sounds more alive4 points

First, I ate two quarter pounders ten + years ago and learned that a teen's stomach is highly different than a 40+ year olds. `Nuff said. So... I enjoy this site's Sunrise page a whole lot! & I really dug the band that "Mac Sabbath" parodies! I know there are some lucky folks that live in wonderous places such as Wyoming. This is just a cherry on top Mac Sabbath Brings Its Weird Tribute To Black… | Cowboy State Daily2 points

One of my favorite things about Klipsch speakers is all the places they have taken me. Many road trips and met many good folks.2 points

Lots of watts for cheap out there. With LSI quality watts are best and you don’t need as many as you think. Another vote for Crown for large space/outdoors.2 points

I will admit however that Lady Gaga is multi talented with a lot of balls to try anything. If you can be invited to sing with Tony Bennett you have what it takes. JJK2 points

Finally found something good to clean the tinted windows in my little suv. First time since I got it over a year ago, so it was actually three passes around. Dr sent me more lasix so at twice a day after three days I could move and my toes touched the ground again!! Opened a couple windows and Punch Bros, Peter Frampton, Jethro Tull then Kenny Wayne Shepard filled the evening around here: God, we must be crazy The whole world's falling apart I've never seen such suffering Or so many broken hearts And how people can hurt each other Lord, I swear by the stars above It ain't got nothing to do with love Nothing to do with love You say you want my money You wanna buy you a brand new car You say you love me, honey I ain't seen no proof so far 'Cause the way you've been treating me, darling Doin' things I've never heard of It ain't got nothing to do with love Nothing to do with love God, we must be crazy The whole world's falling apart I've never seen such misery Or so many broken hearts How people can kill each other In the name of the Lord above It ain't got nothing to do with love Nothing to do with love Nothing to do with love Nothing to do, nothing to do with love Nothing to do with love Nothing to do with love Nothing to do with love With love Nothing to do with love With love With love With love With love With love2 points

Where I'm from? You don't let anybody else drive your truck or hot rod. Gas, Grass or *** did not even work! Had friends get married that would buy a new car to share... but that late 60s Mopar or early 70s 396 or 454 would be in the garage for sunny days only!2 points

He had posted a wonderful story about his daughter on the blog he had. I didn't know she had passed away. It truly made me weep. He and his wife eventually split up after the daughters passing. I can only imagine the pain they went though. Dave was crazy, smart, well read. I never got to one of the Klipsch pilgrimages to meet him. I know it would have been fun.1 point

Thinking of purchasing a pr of 1979 La Scalas with sequential serial numbers. Was told they had original parts. Finished in black with a small flaw that looks like the veneer on either side where it butts up against the top has separated approximately 3 inches on one speaker. If it was on the bottom I would have said it looked water damage. Looks purely cosmetic. With original parts how can I tell if electrical parts require replaced when listening to them or is it that they will work and then if pushed to much they will get fatigued and possibly quit. I'm new at auditioning 30 year old speakers so what should I be listening for other than good sound. How do you know when your speakers need new caps or other parts replaced or refreshed if the speaker works? I'm just hesitant because of the age and I am not handy with electronics. Price is approximately $875.00 US. Thanks for reading, hope I can contribute in the future.1 point

These are in church/cathedral in our town. Often have the chance for listening concerts there. Love the reflected sound from the walls going through my body1 point

Voice coil is blown in my K33B square magnet woofer out of my 79 La Scala. The other woofer is reading okay. I plan on keeping these many years so I am curious what I should do for the replacement. Here are my options and add if I forgot any... 1. Crites woofer (new) (Do not want to use the Cast Frame) 2. Klipsch K33E woofer with round magnet (new) 3. Used if I could find but search brings nothing of interest 4. Reconing service (I am in Ontario, Canada so reconing with parts could get costly) I am doing the caps as well since the speakers are out of commission for awhile. I have decided on Crites for the caps kit. Would you: A: buy one Crites or other K33E with round magnet B: buy 2 and replace both even thought the other is fine for now but is a K33B with square magnet C: look into reconing only if cost was a lot less then the price of a replacement woofer D: other.. add any other suggestions If I only get one woofer does having the original K33B square Magnet in the other speaker make any difference? I know the B is for Brownsville but what about the square vs round mag on the replacement K33's? The crossover decides what freq to send to the woofers but with one brand new and one 36 years old woofer would the sound be the same? Thanks1 point

Decided to take the K33-E woofer replacement from Klipsch parts. Should be here in 7 days. Reconing in my area was too costly. Thanks for all the help. edit: also ordered from Mr Bob Crites the AA cap kit. Should work out nicely once done.1 point

Okay, I took both woofers out and put the ohm meter on the one that I think is bad speaker A. 3.3 reading. Checked the other one speaker B and 3.3 reading as well. Push down on speaker A and you can hear rubbing beneath the dust cap. Speaker B no rubbing what so ever. When the speakers were hooked up speaker A's woofer would cut the voices in and out and sometimes not be heard at all. Speaker B ran fine. That is why I thought that the voice coil was gone or on its way out.1 point

no hum in the system at all but at 1/4 volume when cuing the record and just before the song starts you can hear little noises that are not suppose to be there, it actually sounds like someone wiggling a wire but the music has not started yet. Just like the walking sounds, I actually do not hear footsteps but hear static with an echo behind it. When I tap the floor I get the same sound from just the right side speaker but when I try the right speaker on the left side it does it as well so that got me thinking it was just the one speaker Any ideas on how to rectify a feedback issue? This is killing me!1 point

Super 8, and it gave my SVS sub a workout. Sound is fantastic in this Blu Ray as well as the LFE channel.1 point
