Hello my good old forum friends, I know that I have been making myself scarce for a few months now and am rarely online. Life is not a concert of wishes and I am probably going through the most difficult phase of my life. Divorce, health and other things are currently shaping my life. I'm sure I'll get everything under control again, I'm very confident about that, but things just take time. I don't want to miss the opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2025. Take care of yourselves, stay healthy and live life, we only have one . I'll certainly listen to a few records between the festivities and maybe I'll post one or two or three or four 🤣 we'll see! Keep in touch Vinyl brothers !2 points

I wish only good things for Klipsch and all the employees and friends who work there that I have met since my first visit over 25 years ago through this transition period. miketn🙂2 points

Doc says I'm 20/20. I won't need to replace my 4 yr. old Samsung QLED. Seeing colors, shades and hue's I'd forgotten existed. Happy and grateful.1 point

Then sumpin just pops and I pull it out IF the entire stack isn't layin on the coffee table. Couple weeks ago I was on a Dead binge. STILL haven't shoved them back into the cabinet. Lark's tongue is a great lp. 😂1 point

I finally managed to hit a grocery store that had the whole bean Sumatra that I like. I bought three pounds of the stuff. At one or two cups per day it’s going to last me a little while. Yesterday I went over to our guitarists studio to lay down a couple of bass tracks. We went to work on the first song and discovered the audio files were missing from the ProTools project. A little investigation and we discovered that the audio tracks themselves were getting saved into the wrong folder and he had accidentally deleted them. We started running some file recovery software and it looked like most of it was going to be recoverable. Not the end of the world but it was a bit of a let down. Jan 18th we are playing a private party in a guys hanger/garage bar. I also picked up some 1/2” Baltic birch to make a pair of Smith Horns just for the fun of it but I need to get my shop cleared out a little before I can get started.1 point

An image of a squirrel stuck in a tree has been named the overall winner of this year’s Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, with a frog in a bubble and a bream chasing a bald eagle among the category winners. “Stuck Squirrel” by Milko Marchetti from Italy was chosen as the winner from more than 9,000 entries, the highest number received in the competition’s 10-year history, the organizers said in a statement published Tuesday. 😂1 point

I had to make a change / modification to the tonearm If you don’t already know ? the tonearm floats on an air cushion and it requires an air pump The old air pump was loosing air pressure and needed replacing that’s when the search / hunt for a strong but near silent replacement pump began. Found a replacement pump that is superior to the old one and extremely quiet to near silent at 1mt and fully silent at a short distance Just installed now so a test is required with a favourite album This is my first pressing of the 1972 UK release Charisma – CAS 1058, Charisma Vinyl, LP, Album, Textured Gatefold, Red Spine Text ‘Listening to side 2 as I post and it’s just brilliant SQ Artist - Genesis Title - Foxtrot1 point

Speaking of speakers I bought a pair from our garage sale forum. Since they were in California I badgered the selling gent on how to safeguard the speakers for transport. He first wrapped in heavy cardboard and then shrink wrapped both K Horns. They were pallet shipped wrapped in quilts. Arrived with nary a scratch!1 point

Hey everybody ! I just bought another pair of Pro Split LaScalas and the seller told me that one speaker had a K-33 in it but said the other one was supposed to have a K-43 in it, so I bought a K-43 to put in it but the second woofer is not even a Klipsch woofer !! I therefore need a second stamped steel K-43 Pro LaScala 15 inch woofer, so what can you sell me ??? Pease no thread hijacking even if well meaning !! Rog1 point

Sorry for my ignorance of non Heritage and non Pro, but what the crap is klf0 ??1 point

No, I already owned two stacks of six boxes, but I sold 4 of those that have not been picked up to help finance these, then I bought an additional 5 boxes that are empty to build dual 18 bass bins, so I presently have eleven here on site, seven of which are mine, with an additional 20 loaded boxes in outstanding shape coming tomorrow. If you look at my posts, it lists KP-600s a whole bunch of em, and two just aint a whole bunch! Roger1 point

Michael, I agree with you that 2x12" woofers packs a lot more whump than a single 15". I have heard the Jubilee, and like their Bass better. I believe that PWK set out to build something better, and would have expected no less of him than to accomplish what he set out to do. The part I disagree on is the blurring of image due to a birurcated horn. I have heard this stated before, so I know you did not just come up with this, but my argument would be that if that is true, and since both examples use the same driver, would not the LaScala be the better sounding one of the two between it and the Klipschorn because of the Klipshorns blurring of the image due to using the birurcated horn and the La Scala Bass Bin having expansion only on a horizontal plane? I think this too be a very interesting point that calls into question that statement. Roger1 point
