I have a pair of Klipsch Chorus I for sale in very good condition in the DFW area. I replaced the tweeters with Dave A's Mahl lens and I have the originals as well. I rebuilt the crossovers recently with the klipsch recommended parts. They sound amazing and I truly love them and have no desire to replace them but sadly I am having to downsize, and bookshelves/stand mounts are my future. I am asking $1,300.00. I no longer have the original boxes so shipping is not something I can provide.2 points

You could say that I am somewhat bitter towards Klipsch, as I have gone through 2 sets of 4.1's in two weeks. But none the less, I think that I deserve the truth about what the problem was that affected A LOT of 4.1's. And regarding Amy's, assuming it was Amy, post about how their are committed to serving the people that had these problems, I would just like to say that is COMPLETE bullshit. I was contacted and ask about my problems and they wanted me to send my speakers back, and then they would send me a new set. What was the bad part? I pay for shipping, and I have to wait 4 weeks. I DON'T THINK SO! What kind of customer serivce is that. You should ship the speakers next day air, and when they arrive at MY doorstep along with a pre-paid sticker for UPS/Fed EX to send the broken ones back to Klipsch would be customer service to me. And if you think that is asking to much, I had a broken mobo once, and the company sent the new one that day, and it was at my door the next afternoon with a pre-paid sticker and a letter of apology. Just because of that, I buy only from them, even though their prices are pretty high. I guess I am just looking for Klipsch to fess up and admit they screwed up. Sorry if I offended anyone.1 point

What are you talking about mister h4x0r? The girlfriend comment was merely a joke. Furthermore it is not MY fault you live in Malaysia. If you don't like it there, move. We don't have any room other here but that doesn't stop anyone. Also, don't give me that "I can't expect 1 week turn around" bs. Yes, I can. Customer Service makes or breaks a company. When I recieved my Kilpsch speakers I bragged to all my friends and about 5 were going to buy them next check. But then the problems started. Then I told them about what the solution was. Guess what they did? Don't tell me my disappointment is unjustified.1 point

Oh, and too the people that praise Amy... I think you need to get g/f's1 point

If it seemed as if I was frustrated, I am really not. I am just very disappointed. And I don't need to contact Amy because I resolved the situation myself. A 60 gb drive and a RAID controller helped me Personally, I don't see why they didn't release any news about it, and furthermore I do not understand why there news page is hidden away. It should be up front like 99.9% of all websites. I am at least glad they figured out the problem and fixed it, but I guess I didn't appreciate the tech support lady's tone nor her solution to my problem. It just pissed me off. She told me that I would have to ship the speakers to them, then they would take 3-5 weeks to ship them back to me OR I could let them charge my credit card and they would ship me a set right away then when the receieved mine they would credit me. Now, I am not the smartest person in the world, but why would it take 3-5 weeks the other way? Maybe because they ship it UPS ground ground. Where the guy has to carry it across the US or something. lol I just didn't appreciate being lied to. The lady gave me a general answer to my questions "We are having problems..", well.. really? But all is s'ok now. Just won't buy the 4.1 set, and just wait for the 5.1 Only a couple weeks out.1 point

I have recently aquired the 4.1 system, and I must say that I am impressed. DVD movies are excellent, as well are games and music. But, I have allowed myself to get into the mindset of "more power" I am curious if there are any websites out there that contain information on adding various Klipsch ProMedia system to your current system. For example, the 6.2 people talk about. Also, I was curious, but has anyone or would anyone combine two 4.1's? If not, I would like to be the first I got extra moneys. Thanks, Rem1 point

Like I said, I will post a site that will have all the information on how my friend and I did it. Only a week away.1 point

Yup, two 4.1's. My friend and I have planned it out. We drew up diagrams and everything. The new 4.1 set, new wire, and other misc stuff will be purchased not this friday, but the next. I will post a link to the site that will show how we did it.1 point

I'm going to look for those. I still have a couple of the Discworld books that I can't get from my library, but I haven't read any of his short stories, so that should be fun.1 point

Here's a link to a reviewer that found it a bit "noisy" that was rather helpful with s/n comparisons between the Onix 4 and 8 ohm taps...something you might try if you haven't already: https://archimago.blogspot.com/2021/04/measurements-melody-onix-sp3-mk-ii-2006.html1 point

Wow, beautiful speakers! Sorry you have to part with them if I were near you I'd be very tempted to grab these as price seems very fair to me and I love the Chorus 1's. Good luck with your sale!1 point

Another K2 user here. Have three of them, one for each underground Jube and one, bridged for the Danley. I had never heard of them and a former, forum member told me to try one as they were very musical and quiet (because of no fan). That is a paraphrase of his comment. Grabbed a couple and have zero issues/complaints. Now, in the beginning, I discovered if I had their gains cranked up, I'd hear spittle from the 402 driver. Also figured out that doing that used less of the upstream signal. Flipped it around and now, the amps are around 5 clicks from zero and I'm using more of the upstream signal and, they are dead quiet if you stick your ear in the horn (the spittle is gone) they are quiet because of no fan noise..... and if you want to get stupid, they can take the volume to stupid by simply adjusting the gains up. Don't really need K2's but that's what was available when I got them. I got the third K2 simply to match the first two. System would (probably, since I've never tried)....anyway, system would probably be just as quiet, sound just as good and go just as stupid loud if I had used K1's. I'd say, try one (if a single can work for you, if you biamp you'd obviously need two OR just use it for the bottom end) Anyway, try one.... they're not horribly expensive and you can resell them. Mine replaced a dbx BX1 on the bass bins and a McIntosh MC-2102 on the high end.... both gone, great sound and the cash in pocket was also nice.1 point

You aren't really seeing the full effect with a 3.1 system, the all-channel stereo will add the center back in but it also plays stereo sound through your surround speakers so if you had a 5.1, 7.1, or 9.1 system each side (from front to surround to rear surround) would play their respective stereo signal.1 point

Now, I am too. I just now started 'The Time-travelling Caveman' which are some of his early short stories. Also, the book A Stroke of the Pen is some of his work using a pseudonym.1 point

Titebond III doesn't fully cure to the extent that type 1 or type II adhesives do. It remains somewhat pliable and prone to movement, comparatively. It may or may not be a problem IRL, but I've always avoided it unless I had a specific application that called for it. I've also found that it gums up sanding sheets more than types I or II.1 point
