  1. There is always someone to remember. DJK was smart, snarky, a selfless individual. He would try all sorts of speaker designs, make sawdust. Funny as can be. A bit irreverant... He was a walking encyclopedia, coming out with the wildest bit of history and trivia. The audio world lost a good guy when he passed away. Those on here who actually knew him, met him or talked with him knows what I'm saying.

  9. I would not spend all that money and not get the DSP whether by AL5/upgrade, or AL6 outright. The DSP is considerably better sounding than the passive solution. As was just mentioned, there are respectable multi-channel amps out there that simplify things. The other item you should save your nickels for is an upcoming Heritage sub. You will need that and then you will have an incredible set of speakers. Last time I looked it was about a 5 year wait to get another Decware.

  10. Where is your area? The forum here is a decent source for information, especially for problems that may arise like crossover, etc. Did the seller say these speakers are stock, or anything in the way of repair? Meanwhile, if you want to, posting a photo of the crossover and Klipschorn may be useful to us to assist. Otherwise, enjoy and congratulations on owning a solid Heritage speaker that lasts. The Heresy you can also list here in the Garage Sale section. Specific questions, we will be able to answer.

  22. The band made it over the mountain to TN on Saturday for our music video shoot. We were able to shoot everything on schedule and finish up in time to make our dinner reservation. This week we’ve got to practice and nail down a handful of songs for a gig at a private party this Saturday.

  23. Finally home from the Philippines... rough trip. First flight just over 5 hours... 2 hour layover. Then 14.5 hours to Atlanta. That's a long, lo g time to be in the air. Very smooth flights, though, which was good. Then the shuttle back to home up to just south of Chattanooga. Sunny and then dark. Cold... woke up to snow, had coffee and snack. Back to sleep. Snow's over, maybe 2-4 inches on the ground. A lot different than waking up to 75-80 degrees and sunshine every day for almost a month and back to work on Monday

  25. Hello, I just stumbled across what appear to be the very first two Cornwall II's ever made at an estate sale and brought them home. Serial numbers 8560001 and 8560002. So 1985, 6th week, model 1 and 2 (I think). They are in great shape with a couple scuffs, they sound great and are completely functional. I'm excited to enter the Klipsch / audiophile community and have gone down the what amp(s) to get wormhole. What a cool hobby. Anyways, out of curiosity what do you think they're worth? I can't seem to find any Cornwall II's out there. Also, any somewhat affordable amp suggestions? Thanks, Richard

  26. It’s pretty simple and it’s not very complicated. It’s just not “Roy” endorsing JEM, it Klipsch. And for the umpteen time, crites and alk or anyone else and the products they sell, are not Klipsch approved. Most people who modify a part on their network have no idea how it might affect the overall voltage transfer, which affects the spectral balance of the speaker. But it’s your speaker....do what you want. If you want the original intent, then replace with original specified parts.

  36. I just picked up my new HT package Rf-83......RC-64....RS-62.....and a Servo-15 V 2.0........I have it all hooked up to my 4.5 year old Denon 2802 reciever....it is 90 watts per channel X 6.....Is that enough to power my system......It sounds good, but would a bigger reciever (4308) sound better......what would my gains be with a bigger reciever..... (or seperates)....should I buy a new bigger amp or keep the 2802...I planned on getting something new, but not if I don't need too. Thanks
