  1. Sweet! Congrats on an awesome trade! I love finding the sweet deals like that. You have just made a heck of an upgrade, that RSW-15 is a highly sought after sub!
  2. Sounds too good to be true, I can't imagine him wanting to do that deal. As with all things on CL, be cautious and make sure it's legit. If it is legit, you're getting a screaming deal.
  3. RF-7 for center, yes. RF-7 for surrounds, dont waste your money. Look for RB-81, RB-75, RS-7 or RS-62.
  4. I did this about a year and a half ago. I did all of my RF-7's and my RS-7's. I need to do my RB-75's now. I used a thick thermal type of tape that worked great. It does help quite a bit IMO. Good video btw.
  5. I may slide a pair of bookshelfs in place of my RS-7s and see if I like that better. I have not tried that yet, might be interesting.
  6. I ran 7 RF-7's in a 7.2 setup for awhile and it was not worth it IMO. I feel like I got much better surround sound and rear sound when I moved to RS-7's 6' off the ground and RB-75's in the rear 6' off the ground aimed down at the seats. Your best bet is to keep the RB-75s and aim them where you want them, the same for the front heights.
  7. Really? I'll take it and try it out! Thank you! I'm in Spring, TX, area code 77388 if you want to check on pricing for shipping.
  8. Does anyone know where to buy a 15" passive for the Chorus II? I can't seem to find one any where!
  9. I agree with that. I think a projector has the biggest wow factor, next would be subs.
  10. Nice room! Where did you get that Klipsch plaque? I'd love to have one or something similar. Nice looking ribs too, I grill all the time, I alternate between my Traeger Texas and my Big Green Egg. I use the Traeger more due to the ease of start-up.
  11. No one ever pushes their amps to their max for the most part. The head room is nice though and if you need to drop a 20amp circuit then by all means, do it! It will probably take two Rythmik subs to equal a Seaton Submersive.
  12. If I was buying a new sub right now and I had your budget, I think I would have to go with Seaton Submersive. The dual opposing 15's in a sealed box with 2400 watts of power, it is probably the cleanest, hardest hitting sub out there without being a gigantic sub like the JTR Captivator.
  13. In my small office, I prefer my RB-5 II's over my RB-75's and RB-81 ll's. They are much smoother IMO. I have not tested them in a large open room though.
  14. It has become pretty outrageous. We pay $170 a month for Directv and when we order the UFC it's another $50+ that month which takes it to $220-$230 a month. We have been on this plan for a few years but we are finding that we aren't watching that much TV anymore. Think it's time to scale back our plan. With Apple TV, Blu-rays, Blockbuster and so on we don't need all the movie channels. When you add it up on a yearly basis it is ridiculous.
  15. I personally would look at Harman Kardon's and the Pioneer Elites that have the d3 amps. I have not heard Onkyo's in many years so I have no experience with them but they get a lot of praise on the forums so they are worth a look as well.
  16. That's where I'm at on it as well, I don't know that I would want to pay full price for the XMC but with my 40% off card and also selling my UMC it seems like a no brainer.
  17. The latest firmware update made my UMC-1 very stable. I really can't complain about anything with the unit, I will be buying the XMC in August/September if it is released by then.
  18. Yup, those are the same mounts I use for my RB-75's in my theater room. They work great.
  19. Great deal! Yeah the RB-75's are an amazing bookshelf speaker, it's nice when you find a sweet deal like that!
  20. My local Klipsch dealer has shut down as well. It's sad that a city the size of Houston, TX doesn't have a Klipsch dealer that has a demo room.
  21. Indeed, please give us your opinion on them.
  22. I'm all for a new and improved RSW-15 but they would need to sharpen their pencil and get the price right. I would not pay $2000 for an RSW-15, not unless it was a giant killer while still retaining it's incredible musicality.
  23. I was surprised by this one. The wife suggested it and it ended up being a really good movie. Nothing amazing about the sound track and pretty much no LFE but otherwise a good one.
