Very glad to hear that and I hope everything else came out OK.

Well, I, for one, have absolutely no plans to yield so much as an inch to this storm. I'm staying put; I'm leaving all of my equipment connected; I plan to use my equipment as if there are no hurricanes anywhere; in other words, thumb my nose at nature's fury and conduct business as usual. BTW, I'm in southern Arizona.

The 525 is rated at 70wpc X 5. Since doubling the amplifier power yields a mere 3dB increase in max volume (another way to say this is that halving the amplifier power reduces the max volume by 3dB), reducing the amplifier's rated output from 70wpc to 55wpc only reduces the max volume of your speakers by about 1.5dB. That's a barely noticeable decrease in volume and since it would only even come into play at maximum volume, you won't even notice it. Given the efficiency of the Synergy's, they will still play louder than 90% of the rest of the speakers on the market, even with a 55wpc amplifier. This is a real, real general analysis.

Sounds like a humourous, bouncy little tune with some oddly juxtaposed images when, in fact, it is quite a nasty indictment of that particular lifestyle.

The Jolida 102B uses 4 EL34/6BQ5; 2 12AT7; and 1 12AX7. The correct bias setting is 30Mv. I don't know if this is the correct bias setting for the 202A, so take it with a grain of salt.

Actually, he had quit smoking some 8 years before he was diagnosed. After he was diagnosed, he started smoking again. At the time the disease hit, he had been on a health kick for several years and ran and worked out regularly. In fact, when he first started noticing the shortness of breath, he thought he was just pushing the workouts too hard. Mesothelioma is linked more with asbestos exposure than smoking. That's not to say that smoking doesn't increase the risk, but it's hard to say exactly what might have triggered the cancer. Funny thing is that Waddy Wachtel is conspicuously absent from the final album. Anyone know if there's a reason for that?

From what I saw on the VH1 show, it looks like Jorge Calderon deserves a lot of credit for getting the last record made. There was that one section of the recording sessions when WZ kept flubbing the timing on one song, I forget which one, and Jorge was gently, but firmly, pushing him through the pain and fatigue to finish the song. It's a real blessing to have someone who will push us through the pain and fatigue when necessary.
