    Bash in Hope

Land of the unicycles heading for the tail of the dragon.
  2. Put'in him in a ground a little early Eh?
  3. I was talking about the maximum performance rating of the amplifiers. Evidently you didn't buy one of the better quality amplifiers, like this one.
  4. I hope I'm not too late, but that remarkable deal applies only for the 6ft version. If you have an extra $12,800 you can go all the way to 10ft with virtually no loss in quality. The cable is performance rated all the way to 11.
  5. These are really nice ones.... If you're willing to live with a little less fidelity, you can go with the "Full Range" option and save around $16.5k https://www.psaudio.com/products/pauls-reference-dragon-zero-speaker-cable/?gc_id=6469190841&h_ad_id=379962002052&gclid=Cj0KCQiA_c-OBhDFARIsAIFg3ex6VAiPbofm3MYFh979ENEEjqJlfhdDCYRxQbO6aj2CKuWHHAF1paMaAvtPEALw_wcB

    USED POLICE CARS

One of the of the last, if not The Last source you'd ever want to buy a used car from is Law Enforcement. If you don't get it, ask a Trooper/Sherriff/Local PoPo
  8. The politics of F1. Seriously, what dumbass wouldn't understand why Hamilton skipped the F1 Championship crowning? What fan of racing, any kind of car racing, would agree with Michael Massi's last lap decision? Anyone? anyone?, Bueller... Bueller..... Bueller....
  9. Max wont leave RB, or at least he said he’d never leave publicly. Anyone who watched F1 over the past 20 yrs and paid attention knows who Adrian Newey is and what it means to have him design a race car. Adrian loves the RB team and will like retire with them. Max would be a fool to leave….. just ask Sebastian Vettel.
  10. Mercedes withdraws it’s appeal following FIA announcement (Jean Todt) which stated….. Mercedes’ announcement followed a statement from the FIA on Wednesday evening, in which the sport’s governing body proposed to conduct a “detailed analysis and clarification exercise” around the events of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The statement ran: “Following the presentation of a report regarding the sequence of events that took place following the incident on Lap 53 of the Grand Prix and in a constant drive for improvement, the FIA President proposed to the World Motor Sport Council that a detailed analysis and clarification exercise for the future with all relevant parties will now take place. “This matter will be discussed and addressed with all the teams and drivers to draw any lessons from this situation and clarity to be provided to the participants, media, and fans about the current regulations to preserve the competitive nature of our sport while ensuring the safety of the drivers and officials. It is not only Formula 1 that may benefit from this analysis, but also more generally all the other FIA circuit championships. “Following that presentation and an extensive discussion, the World Council has decided to unanimously support the President’s proposal.”
  11. That was not my take on the British GP, Mad Max always tries to late-brake his opponent (they all do really), but doing so from the outside on that particular turn was wishful thinking. There are many videos from different angles, and if you're not familiar with Mad Max's rock'em sock'em robot style racing history, the overhead helli shot shows that Max carried the bulk of the blame. Hamilton knew that stunt was never going to work and he knew exactly what to do. Max being Max, anticipated (as usual) that Hamilton would concede, rather than risk the crash. Youthful bravery and ignorance, and Hamilton took him to school. Being on the inside and especially with a faster car Hamilton knew the outcome. I do believe it was more of a racing incident that could only come out one way..... Max spinning off or both cars getting trashed. A better comparison of Hamilton being a chickenshit would be his incident with Niko at their last USGP,... the turn one incident. Hamilton literally shoved Niko off track, a la Max to Hamilton in this seasons grand finale. Hamilton is/was a ruthless *******, especially during his early F1 years. But he has since become, or has been trying to portray himself as being more of an English Country Gentleman... which he's clearly is not, but I do believe he has been trying desperately to change or improve his image.
  12. Not sure if you're aware, but Max Verstappen break-checked Hamilton at nearly 180 mph during the Saudi race. He initially claimed to have just slowed down, but within a hour after the race, the FIA issued a statement regarding Max's race car telemetry. Specifically that it indicated a neg. force of 2.4G that occurred the instant before Hamilton almost got caught up and nearly crashed into him. Had Max been successful with that stunt, he would have won the championship one race earlier.
  13. There's no shortage of people, haters and fans alike, that have poked fun at Hamilton's clothing. Aside from being one of the best of all time F1 racers, he also fancies himself a clothing designer, and at one time, a rap artist. While his success inside the F1 arena has deservedly earned him a "Knighthood", a la Sir Jackie.... His ventures into Clothing Design and Rap Music have, how do we say..... fallen short of his expectation. Personally, after seeing him in that first all purple clown suit with matching socks, about 2 years ago, I thought, "Do street pimps still wear that shyt."
  14. My 210,000 mile 2003 GMC Sierra, w 8.1L still runs strong, damn strong. Pulled a loaded 24ft trailer a couple weeks ago without problem. Though she was plagued with electrical gremlin's (differential servo, and one of the 3 A/C thermistor's), I sorted them out and she's been reliable. My kids' call my truck "Scar", if you saw it up close, you'ld get it.... nearly 20 yrs of driving the harsh south texas brush country, but mechanically, she's as good as can be for a nearly stock engine and drivetrain. Can't hardly drive it to the Coop or beach without having some youngster ask me if I'm interested in selling.
  15. Cheers!! and Christmas came early for Team Red Bull. Toto now has less than 72 hours to deliver his formal appeal/complaint..... and anyone whos' followed the history of F1 knows the outcome will remain unchanged. Poor Max, he is Championship material, No Doubt About It...... But his 2021 World Championship, came to be as a direct result of the most controversial race and last-lap FIA decision in the history of F1; and Michael Massi's decision will forever be a shytstain on the sport of F1. RACE RESULTS: There were no real winners' in the last race, only losers, and the biggest loser was the sport of F1, followed by Lewis Hamilton and all F1 Fans.
  16. As I seem to recall, ebay allows "Follow-Up" feed back, but you cannot change your original.
  17. LOL, we're pretty dense aren't we. When it rains outside the ground gets wet, go figure.
  18. Allowing the lapped cars to pass is not a new rule. MB was in a catch 22, damned if they did, dammed if they didn't.......... Massi, I suspect unwittingly (I would have hoped) guaranteed RB the victory. No they don't, not at all, but they do have a not-so-secret, secret weapon. The "King Midas" of the aero package design, Mr. Adrian Newey. Every car that mans' hands touch turns into a competitive, championship winning machine. FWIW, Mercedes abandoned development on the current engine even before the 2021 season began, and that engine is still superior to the current Honda. All their engineering efforts and re$ource$ were long ago ear-tagged for new engine and aero package development ahead of the forthcoming 2022 season and new regulations. I loved that scrap..... ole Checo did a stellar job at keeping Hamilton behind. Checo's tires were shot, yet he was still able to buy his teammate valuable catch-up time so that he could get closer to the back of Hamilton.
  19. There was no bad strategy on the part of anyone at MB..... they had an 11 sec. lead over the second place contender who was trapped in slow moving traffic 5 cars behind; MB had no choice in the matter what so ever. Had Lewis pitted, Verstappen would surely have stayed out and Lewis Hamilton's 11 sec. lead was not adequate to maintain that position had the team chosen to pit him. Team RedBull were desperate, as soon as Hamilton's car passed the pit entrance, they immediately called Verstappen in, and prayed for a miracle. FIA race director, Michael Massi made good on the miracle by making the unprecedented decision of allowing only the 5 lapped cars (slower moving traffic) that blocked Verstappen to pass the safety car with only one lap to go. That has never been done in the history of the sport. As per the FIA Reg's, it must be done not less than one lap before the safety car is called off the track. Michael Massi violated 2 key provisions, and incorrectly sited a third to cover his ***. He's relatively new to the position of Race Director, only his second year. His predecessor, Charley Whting, would never made such error in judgment. The 2021 F1 season could be summed up as a music concert that was promoted with the promise of having all the worlds best musicians, all playing your favorite songs, but at the last minuet, the venue director made the special announcement, right after you've found your front row seat, that for the next 3 hours you were to be entertained by Yoko Ono.
  20. Will let you know when I go to Waco... cheers!!
  21. An unusually good year for F1. Two new tracks introduced and two top tier drivers duking it out for the world championship. Tied for first place are Max Verstappen, aka "Mad Max" aka "The Young Lion" is desperate to dethrone the old Lion, Lewis Hamilton. Lewis is struggling but determined to get his 8th world championship, and I'm betting he'll get it. I LOVE FORMULA ONE, this has been the best year in quite a long time. 2 Red Flags, 3 standing starts.... what a crazy race. Herman Tilke's gonna catch hell for this track.
  22. I've got a daughter (Lauren, aka Manita....... spanish for little sister) that wants a good pair of noise cancelling headphones (not ear buds), and I'm not sure what to buy. She loves music, not sure where she gets that from...... anyway, the price limit is set at $800; based on Amazon.com ratings research, that should easily be enough to get her something really nice. She takes very good care of her stuff, and I've no concerns buying her highend headphones. She's not the type that would trash'em within a year. What do I buy her?
