I tried that, it didn't work. Woofers and tweeter are working fine by connecting speaker output to them directly.

I bought a pair of RS-3 to match with my RF-3 fronts and RC-3 center. They worked fine for about 7 months. Recently I found one of these are not working. It was strange because these are brand new. I unscrewed the binding posts and tested the woofers and tweeter directly and they are working fine. It seems there is some problem with the circuit. Please help how can I fix this. Thanks,

The B&K is 150 watts per channel(ST202) and It improved the sound a lot when I added this to my system bypassing the receiver amp.My speakers are RF-3's what's the difference between RF-3's and RF-3 II anyway? Do you mean to say that my receiver may not give out the preout and normal output simultaniously? Thanks,

I am driving my front RF-3s from the preouts frony L/R of Sherwood 8090 receiver thru B&K ST202, Can I also connect the speaker output L/R of the receiver to the same speaker to make them bridged. Thanks,

Thanks for the reply guys , I opened up the speaker and found no damage, I guess it was because one of the speaker connections lose.

I am sorry I did not give enough details, the cd player was an old one with 20 watts per channel and 6 ohms, but the speakers were 8 ohms.

I have Awia CD player which gives out 20 Watts per channel, can I use my Klipsch quintets from this CD player??? I noticed some smoke coming out of one of these two speakers and went dead?? Am I not supposed to use this combination?

I want to bi-wire my RF-3s from a B&K ST202 amp, please tell me how can I do that and what kind of connectors I need to buy. I went to Radio Shack and asked one of the reps about a pair of bi-wire connects to my speakers he couldn't understand what I am asking. Thanks.
