  2. http://www.twice.com/article/461992-2011_CES_Audiovox_Plans_To_Buy_Klipsch_Group.php. Not sure if i can post this or not i hope this dosent piss off anyone. I was on the interweb and stumbled on this. Please someone tell me this is not true.
  3. Guys thanks for all the advice. I am more confused than ever. I kinda want an amp now a UPA-7. I still looking at the RF82 RC64/RC62 if i get the amp RS52 RB61 Whats y'alls (I'm from TX) opinion on that amp with the smaller center speaker? Thanks for bing patient with me. Thx, James
  4. Now I was planning more along the lime of this. RF-82 mains RF-64 center RF-82, 62, 52, or RB-61 side RS-52 (or 42) for rears. The room where they are is pretty small. The mains and center are about 8" in front of the couch with the side being at the side of the couch about 3" from the respective sides. And the rears about 4" feet behind the couch. The wife gave me a budget around 3-4k so I am trying to figure out what works well together and what doesn't. I will say that I fell in love with the pioneer reciever tho man how I love this thing vsx-23thx ftw!! Any thoughts on what sides I should run? And or if i should use the RS-52 for sides as well? Thanks
  5. thanks for the input. I've thought i heard get the biggest badest center before, it must have slipped my ever growing old mind. So this Rc-64 it is. As far as the rears go i also was thinking about getting some rc-10's for the sides and rears. Would that sound better? The reason i ask, my s-1 just dosent seem to have the volume as the rest of my system. When i turn the channels all the way up, the sides gets louder but the rears just dont have the voulme i am looking for. i could understand if there were far away from my head but they sit at ear level about 4' behind me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks -james-
  6. Hello fellow "klipsch heads". It's been a long time since i been here and visited, it seems alot has changed. It is time for an upgrade for me. I have been upgrading alittle at a time and now i have a pioneer vsx-23thx reciever, svs PB12, and a sony 46 lcd. its time to get better speakers, heres is what i am looking at Rf -82 Rc-62 Rb-61 Rs-52 My main questions would be should i spring the extra cash and get the Rc-64? And would y'all do anything different?
  7. naw i the type pf person that has to put/hook up all the wires i just have to do it and i was planing on using 10g. and i did some reciver shoping and i like teh denon avr -5805 but i wont b spending 6k on it so i most likely get teh avr-4806 (i like the THX part of it). has neone have it on this board? if so yall like it or save up and get teh 5808?
  8. Thanks for teh great info so far. The 10k is just for the speaker/rec/tv/amps. The funiture is in a diffrent bugget. And so far i am leaning towards the THX ultra 2 systems with a pair (or 3. 2 klipsch subs and my svs) subs. I havn't looked for receivers yet but yall seem to like denon and H&K any suggestion would b kool. but thanks for the info so far keep it coming plz
  9. Hey guys it's been awhile since i've been here. Busy woth some other aspec of my life. Well im back and have a question for ya and would like alot of input. I am getting a house made (it is will be completed in about 6 more months). An di have a theather room in there. It is 22x19 and has no windows and 1 door in the 22' foot section. My question is this i have bout 10 grand to play with please help me make a kick a$$ system for that amount. I want the best Klipsch speaker and a good reciever and a t.v. Amp's if nesscary. As for teh sub i'll probally use my svs pb-12. so can yall help me and thx in advance james
  10. try this ( it going sound stupid) put the sub where you normaly sit then crwal on the ground till u here the best bass response then put the sub there
  11. It sound's pretty darn good. But imo all the movies sound beter at home then in the therater. But anyhoo it sounds great on dts I gine it two thumbs up.
  12. also it might sound stupid but place the sub in the spot that you will spend most of the time listing, and ( here comes the stupid part ) get on your hands and knees and crawl until you hear and feel the best bass response. well thats my two cents james
  13. ok one last question tube vs the pb+ which one is better in terms of total package
  14. so the best sub that svs makes is the 16-46 pc plus? and they are only $875 well poo-poo i might just get two. if all say that they are the best ill place my order in 4 days so let me know before then , and thanks guys james
