  1. Craig, Good to here you are on the mend. Schu, those are great pics of the NBS and VRDs. I still have mine. I still have my HH Scott LK-72 as well.
  2. Holy smoke. No words for this. Just a smiley. 🙂
  3. 3 weeks to the Bonehead class on these subs. My prediction is whatever sub or subs you use now for your lascalas or other Heritage speakers...........you are going to want new ones, the right ones. 🙂 I signed up and am going to take the opportunity to hear early and decide. Can't wait to hear these things. If you have lascalas or even other Heritage speakers you should consider checking this event out. Good times ahead.
  4. This event is only 3 weeks out now. I can't wait. I hear there is going to be a Chief Bonehead Fajita barbeque. Time to finally get the precisely correct sub for my lascalas and be done with THAT.
  5. Klipsch is about to release matching subs for the Heritage line. Hang on and get one specifically for Lascalas. A horn sub, from Klipsch. With built in DSP and powered. Just plug it in. I agree it is very difficult to find any sub that could be considered a true match for a Khorn or Lascala. But the true matches are coming. See the Klipsch Museuem threads on this.
  6. Rooms with high ceilings are challenging. Our livingroom presents a similar issue to what the OP is stating. In my case I wouldn't say it sounds better upstairs (which is open to the downstairs) but different and not unpleasing. Basically, I did nothing. It's a room issue not an equipment issue. I wasn't going to hang room treatments from my living room ceiling.
  7. The more I hear about what Subfest '23 is going to be the more I can't wait. Special guests, presentations, partying and playing your music at the Visitor's Center, Klipsch lab listening sessions, All the tech on the new DSP / powered Heritage subs.........a huge opportunity to learn what's the best way to bring big bottom end to all your Heritage models. If you are even considering attending you'd best sign up soon. This will definitely eclipse past Jubfests..........and the Heritage Jubilees will be there as well to play your music on.
  8. Me too. Looking forward to this. How long has everyone waited for dedicated subs for the Heritage models? I would not miss this opportunity to learn and listen all about these.
  9. Here are the ones I saved over the years. Straight from the man. Roy's Jub settings.pptx
  10. Yes. Just hasn't been seen in about 21 years.
  11. Honestly, I liked the cake pan. I never thought to do anything like that. It was a neat implementation.
  12. Nice job Seti. Those are cool as heck. 1958 and back to life.
  13. They are roughly the size of my MCM setup with MWM bass cabinets. Pretty darn close. Good luck my friend.
  14. I'd think twice about mounting an AXI on a 510. Can't you buy another 691 from Klipsch?
  15. I bought one of these devices last week for a garage system that has an older Harmon Kardon receiver with no digital or wireless capability. So same application. The little Fiio aboslutely breathed new life into the setup. Last night I streamed A Dead and Company concert from Nugs.net. So I used a USB cable from my laptop (which was wifi streaming the concert) to the Fiio and Fiio RCA outs to the Harmon Kardon. I was just using the Sabre DAC in the Fiio. Worked flawlessly all night, and with respectable sound. The Fiio is a darn swiss army knife. Does just about everything with D to A, BT (send or receive), USB, coaxial, Toslink. Worth the money.
  16. Me too. Everything is for sale if the price is right. I'll tell you they will be very expensive. Mine are 3-way and have 691 drivers on the 402 and 510. Bass bins are black. Zip 30677.
  17. Don't send any money and pay in person when picking up.
  18. If I'm reading the article in blue correctly, that connection was suggested back in the 30s. Although the article never specified how it changed the sound. Just redirected the secondary electrons back to the plate.
  19. I may be wrong but it looked like the cinema 3-way PC board version. If this is what it is then it was probably designed for behind the screen. On my 3-way underground Jubs I have the 2-way passive PC board version for just the 402/510 and that is what it is. I never used it so I don't know how it sounds.
  20. You could have just bought a pair of Klipsch powered Bluetooth speakers and been done with it. No other electronics.
  21. I am using an C2500 tube pre and MC2100 s/s amp on my '73 cornwalls. Sounds like 100% tubes but with tighter bass.
  22. I love the sound of tube pre with s/s amp. Have 3 systems setup that way. With the right s/s amp this can be an excellent combination.
