  1. its no problem to get in just register online make up a business name for yourself fill out the online form and they will send you your credentials ive been doing this for many trade shows for years no problem
  2. yea i have similar things i got from home depot on the bottom of all my stuff to protect my hardwoods they should work great for you speakers get rubber or something soft so you can trim with a razor blade if need be ....
  3. Has any one out there been using thease lately??? I see some posts from a year ago im wondering if everything is still good with them vs. stock replacements??? They seem priced pretty good . If they are an improvement every little bit helps the overall picture /or sound hahaha. Any user feeback would be great thanks
  4. Ok i have a 3 part question for everyone out there. First my front Heresy's over the past weeks have developed a "rattle /crackle" but only at high volume levels, but seem fine at "sane" levels . Upon further inspection the woofers seem to be ripping away from the center / dust cover. I suspect that this is the distortion that hear. Can this be fixed? (with glue or whatever)as they seem to be intact and still attached underneath . or is this a decay that will only get worse and i should just order the replacements (and be over with it) which are 80 bucks each at klipsch ???? Any suggestions would be great....Second my front heresys seem to put out A LOT more base than my rears (also heresys) i have swithed em around and the older ones (the damaged ones) are from '79 ??? (u) have more base than my newer ones '83 ???(y) is this possible??? has anyone else ever noticed this or do I have something else going on ??? Third if I'm driving thease too hard maby i need to upgrade ?? what should i be looking for ??? corn walls, forte's, la'scalas ??? its been sooo long since ive heard any of them..... I love the punchy clear&live sound of my heresy's and i don't want to give this up , any sujestions???

  6. as long as the wood can still absorb the blo eg. no poly or other "sealers" you should be able to ues whatever you want .
  7. thanks guys i think ive got a good idea of what i want to do. now i need to gather up the parts to do this project. i assume i should try to keep the internal volume approxmently the same as the heresy but i will probally use a pair of smaller woofers . but im sure there is a way to figure out(formulas or whatever) the proper box volume .i'll just need to narrow my choices on the woofers.
  8. thanks..... thats what thought but wanted some opinions from others it does help alot thank
  9. my room is approx 13x18 is it "better" to be oriented width wise(sitting against the long walls ) or length wise (sitting against the short walls) any help would be great..... thanks
  10. ok all of you more "learned" seem to want /recomend the same type of speaker across the front to timber match . this makes sense to me , it only logical as each type speaker has its own characteristics ....so given that how close does one have to get to sound correct ?? i have heresys for fronts with k77m tweeters k52h mids and k22 woofers with e2 crossovers if i cant find the exact ones would say earler ones say k55v mids and type e cross overs and similar year tweeters be ok??? or later drivers for that matter ill have to figure out the woofer situation as space dictates that 12" woofers won't fit in my given space . i have no problem making the boxes as i have almost rebuilt my house so building boxes that are nice and proper would be a day with power tools and a 12 pack ....hehehe.. any feed back would be a real help ........thanks
  11. ive never tried this but what about just plain 12 ga romex?????????
  12. a good pair of heresys and sub wouldnt be a bad choice either......
  13. that has crossed my mind too....building something there is always parts on ebay ...even though people who people who take apart a speaker to sell its parts should be....well you know...
  14. ive thought of that too but space will probally restrict me from doing that .....but i agree that a all heresy front and rear would be freakin great.....
  15. I have a pair of mid 80's heresys for front speakers and i am up grading my home theater from a bunch of polk stuff and need sujestions on the center and surrounds??? ive been looking at some rc/rs 3ii's on line as no one sells klipsch in my area (dam it). or would the rs35 or rs7 and matching center channels do me better??? i want to be able to make the whole system blend and work together...any help from those with more experence would be greatly appreciated..... mostly listen to classic rock jazz and blues and those heresys just love singing to that....maby some forte's someday HHHmmmm..........
