  9. Thanks Bob. I got to take a tour of the one outside of Rose Bud while in High School ROTC. It was very impressive. Each floor of the crew area was suspened by very large coil springs. Man that has been a long time ago. Later Bill

  18. Welcome Pete and Congrats on the Belle's. I have ran mine with a Sony HT unit ( OK of the movies but not for quality 2 channel) I have a HK 430 25 watts per and a HK 730 40 watts per channel that I used for some great 2 channel listening. Just bit the bullett and bought a Mac 6450 SS integrated amp. The HK amps sound great; you can turn the volume up about half way anything over that is so loud you can not stand it. The Mac sounds so much better just bumping 1 watt on the meters it is unreal; I had it bumping 10 watts for a couple of songs and was in Heaven; just waiting for some time off to do some real listening. This is just my personal opinion; you should listen to as many different set ups as possible to make up your own mind. Where are you located? I did not see that in the thread any where. Later Bill
  19. The one thing about Arknasas is if you dont like the weather just wait a little while it will change. Later Bill

  21. Yep we learn something everyday; we did not think the volume control was just for the OPPO. Thank you very much for the heads up advice. Later Bill
  22. I just got the RR2150 and hooked it up to the Cornwall's; using the OPPO 981 into the CD/DVD input; we were able to turn the volume all the way up and were still wanting more. Then we tried the Apple TV hooked into the Tape input, only able to turn it half way up. So we swapped the inputs and found that the OPPO seems to be weak on its out put, the Apple TV was just as strong as when it was in the Tape input. We had not been able to tell any difference in these 2 units when connected to either a HK 430 or HK 730. We will try another CD/DVD player but have not had time to break down another system to make the swap. The 2150 does sound very clean in all aspects and at all volume levels. It does have the remote control issue of going from a low volume to a higher than you wanted level very quickly. This of course was not an issue when using the OPPO with it what seems to be attenuated output. More to follow when another CD/DVD player is connected. Later Bill
  23. I forgot about getting one of these a couple of years ago; the search begins. Later Bill
