  1. Well guys last weekend I bid on and won an auction on Ebay for a Mcintosh MA 6450; used pay pal and within 5 minutes the auction was canceled and the funds were returned to my account. The unit was supposed to be in California but the payment went to MISSISSIPPI. Things are sounding very funny now that you have had an issue with the same state. I sent an email to the seller asking him what was going on and his reply was the someone tried to take $1500 out of his pay pal account and it had been locked. He said we could still do the sale if I would send a money order or bank transfer. I replyed that I would not deal outside of Ebay or pay pal. I asked him where he was located if by chance we could meet up and work it out in person. I am in Arkansas and if he was in Mississippi we could get together. I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM HIM SINCE. I will not be buying any big ticket items off of Ebay again. I am very thankful for the Pay Pal system. I wish you all the luck in getting your money back. Later Bill Now looking for Mcintosh local and thru the Forum.

  5. We were with out power here for over 23 hours; lot of damage 2 blocks from here. Thinking about getting a generator for back up power. Later Bill
  6. I would check out the Cornwall's if at all possible. As far as a price for the Belle's; we would have to see some pictures of them and would also need more info about them. Later Bill
  7. How much can you get the Belle's for? If the price is too high a set of Cornwalls would be do nicely. Later Bill
  8. Very Funny. Gilbert I sent you an email asking a question? Later Bill
  9. Back in the day of full service gas stations: they would put oil dry on the spots and use a block of wood to grind out the surface spots. Later Bill

  12. Hello: There are a lot of us on here that us the Harmon Kardon 430, 730 and 930 units. The 430 is just 25 watts per channel; I cannot turn the knob past half way with the Cornwall's hooked up. It just gets too loud but sure sounds Great. Later Bill
  13. I havent played radio in a while; but Yeasu, Icom and Kenwood would be the ones to look into. Try WWW.AES.COM and look things over. Where are you located? There is most likely a Ham club close by that we may be able to hook you up with. Later Bill
  14. I bought this Dell laptop in December of '04 for school use. I did not buy any extended warranty and refused to buy one when they emailed trying to sell me one. Well it crashed about a month ago and would not do anything but come on with the Black Screen of Death. So I got on line with Dell trying to trouble shoot the problem. They help me out and then tell me the Warranty is still good until Feb of '08; they send me a box to ship it out for repair. It comes back in 3 days with new guts in it; they told me to keep the hard drive here so I did not loose any of my stuff. I will be buying another Dell desk top for Christmas. Later Bill
  15. Yes those should get you started on the journey. Later Bill
  16. Find someone in your area that has any of the Heritage line that you can listen to. Your ears will let you know what sounds best to you. I have had Heresy's since '83, as stated earlier they do not have as much bass as the Cornwall's, LaScala's, or Belle,s but they sound great. Later Bill
  17. Man what a deal. Great looking veneer also. Put them in the corners with a little room to breath and you will be amazed; not as much bass a the cornwall's but they will sound better. A little sub as you stated will take care of that. Later Bill
  18. If you dont like them I will give you your money back for them and come and pick them up. Later Bill
  19. Congrats on the new Khorn's and thanks for supporting the company. It's the mass production that has taken the Craftsman ship out of just about everything we buy. Later Bill
  20. Sorry but if you had enough room to try and take them apart you would have enough room to move them out. So fill us in on the details. We all love a good story about KLIPSCH. Later Bill

  22. I have both the 430 and the 730 and will be interested in the KIT if one gets put together. I do like the sound of the 430 over the 730; to hard to put into words but you can tell the difference. Funny thing is that the 730 is in very good condition appearance wise;with the 430 having seen better days. Having not heard the 930 yet I guess I will have to start looking for one. Later Bill
