  1. Hmmm, I'll try that...I certainly can move them over, I never thought of that.
  2. I wonder if I should but some extra batt in the speakers? Of course the room is a work in progress and will have treatments, etc...I'm going to change out the system to see if that helps...Of course I've not taken my RF-7's down stairs, and will not, but this was my impression and I think it may simply be the lack of ...anything in the room.
  3. Last night I played a few CD's and I noticed these CW's were VERY boomy...I couldn't seem to calm them down. The room is totally untreated and is basically cider block walls...this is the room I'm working on....my impression last night was that they simply are not as "tight" as my RF-7's. Will accoustical treatment help this? I was using a Marantz 2385 to power them. I am using a Technics EQ to calm them down somewhat. Any help much appreciated! Phil
  4. Dtel, I could sell it but you know the story, I'll just build another theater around it....perhaps "the boy" will have a little theater in his room based on academy, forte II's and some other unknown speaker.
  5. Took dang near a year from this guy, but it's back. Anyway, I have all my records and it look like I need a record cleaner. I've been online and looked at Nitty Gritty's. What is the fifference in the 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0?....I really only want to spend about $300 or so...if I get the lower end model, will I immedialy have a bout with upgradeitus? TIA Phil
  6. I think I saw this several years ago....The WAF was not going on at one point...LOL!!!
  7. IndyKlipsch Fan, I think that's what I'm going to do, if I have the patiemce to find a single CW. However, I may just add the Heresy's first and use the Academy I just got from Michael until I find "one".
  8. I'm still totally up in the air on this room. I guess I'll install a drop ceiling based on utilities above the tile. I'm now leaning towards taking a wall down and making a large 40 x 21 room with a bar, etc. as the original intent was going to be a 21 x 16 theater, but dang that's small. The remaining room is almost a waste in the configuration downstairs.
  9. KlipschHead, there is a pair of KLF10's in Raleigh for $400. However the guy in his sales Schpill has commented that they both have duel 15" woofers. Must be telling his GF that's 15"....LOL!
  10. So, the Cornwalls have "Rocked my World". On my mancave theater I was going to place my forte II's for my surrounds and use an academy for a center channel..... NOW, I'm considering Heresy's for surrounds and a center, OR another Cornwall for the center and Heresy's for surrounds......Any thoughts?
  11. Funny thing is when I met my wife, she had one of those and when she sold her home I "made" her sell the system with the house...some people LOVE those lifestyle systems. The people that bought her house certainly did!
  12. Geeze Tommy, I don't know...perhaps a...ahhhh never mind...
  13. Welcome to the forum. It certainly is exciting making any major changes to one's theater! I hope the RC 64 does well for you. Perhaps down the road a reference setup wil be in order
  14. I have the forte II's and 74 cornwalls....I can only imagine the CW III's...I would most certainly go with #2. Love the forte II's but still I'm glowing from the CW's!!!
  15. I guess they don't ban you for being an A-Hole, at least they haven't baned me yet, so I supose you're OK...
  16. Hey sputnik, what part of Montana do you live in?
  17. WHAT? WHAT DID YOU SAY???? Years of fire arms and loud music has doomed me.
  18. This is a show I would go see, and travel a bit for. Unfortunantly, my wife wouldn't enjoy it in the least, so I wouldn't even try to trick her....LOL!
  19. Did you guys notice how scared the dog looks as well....Just messin with ya Jim...but the dog does look scared....just kidding...no really, the dog looks scared....
  20. I still can't post picks, but my sweet spot listeninbg chair was truly a POS! But dang it was comfy and I listened to a ton of music in it....my wife didn't allow it to make the move. Now my temporary chair is a very formal couch that doesn't fit in our new home from our old home. But the CW's sure make it tolorable!
  21. Are they making jokes about you Amy? We can make them....disapear...don't ask any questions. I'm going over incognedo with my dark plastic horned rimmed glasses and black mustache attached. Perhaps a little Austin Powers action as well...consider your screams for help answered!
  22. Gary, are those risers on your CW's? Did you make them or can one get them?
  23. I always wondered if one could do that! Where did you get it Gary?
  24. This will be interesting for sure. I'll have my reciever hooked up downstairsnext week, or the week after and will try out a few SACD's to see how they do match up. As far as total match, in a home theater application, I'm not sure it is that important on the surrounds. I'm more worried about the Academy and the Cornwalls. If this doesn't work out, I'll just move the Cornwalls to a 2 Channel rig and place Chorus II's as my mains with the forte II's and Academy center. SO MANY OPTIONS!!!!!! Dang exciting stuff!
  25. SWEET! Thanks guys, it's pretty cool, just came back upstairs from listening to a pretty cool Ray Lynch CD.....I'm still amazed at the "fullness" of these speakers.
