  1. Scott, try sounddistributors.com. He's an authorized dealer. Their website has the current lineup, as well as rf7 and rc7. I'll bet if you call him,(his name is Eric) he'll be able to find you some. I have made many purchases from him over the years. Prices are good and and service is great. He also does a great job shipping i.e double boxes, plenty of packing material. Good Luck.
  2. FWIW, I don't think there's any more WAF to the klf 20 or 30's than what you have. I don't have chorus, but I do have 20's and Forte II, in different rooms. They may be different, but they're both great. My suggestion would be to pick on her inventory of stuff until she backs off yours.
  3. I know there's a seperate forum for this, but I'd rather have the recommendations from the guys on this forum whom I'm familiar with. I'm going to buy Bstock from the klipsch store. Either the ultra 2.0 or the gmx 2.1. Is there a big difference between the two? What about all the problems that I read about with the reliability of the 2.1? It's just used to listen to sirius radio on the internet. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
  4. I have a pair of Forte II that I've restored. They were originally oiled oak and the original owner painted them black. I stripped them down and stained them cherry with gloss black risers. They came out beautiful.Consecutive serial numbers. The speakers are identical, bookends,in terms of the veneer used on them, which is original. Everything is perfect in terms of drivers. They sound great, no damaged dust caps or passive radiators. The reason I want to trade; I love klf"s. For me, that's the holy grail as far as Klipsch goes.(no flaming). I've heard many Klipsch, but for some reason, they stroke my ear the right way.I would like to trade them for a pair of klf20 or30's. I'm located in east central Florida and would be willing to meet someone halfway or let audition. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to send pics. I would post them here, but I'm not that saavy with computers. I can send them to somebody's e-mail addy if they would post them for me. I've been a member here for some time, but mostly a lurker. I figured I might be able to work a deal here before trying to sell mine and then try to find what I want. I don't particularly care what color the klf's are by the way. Thank you.
  5. Janiva Magness/ Bury Him at the Crossroads/ blues/cd I picked this up after hearing a couple songs off of a local college station blues show. My favorite track is Wasn't That Enough. Not normally my regular listening, but this woman has one hell of a voice. Definitely going to order some more of her albums from Amazon.
  6. Anything by Led Zeppelin. Doesn't matter where you are in the country; there's going to be a rock station playing a set of three or four songs, prefaced with that horrible "Time to get the Led out" intro. I actually like them, just don't ever want to hear it on the radio again.
  7. When alone, I listen to country music. My whole life I hated the stuff, but now,for some reason, it has some appeal.
  8. I agree with and know what you're saying to a point Moon. Analyze it all you want, but it boils down to the primal male competition/dominance thing. No matter how sophisticated and forward thinking we believe we are and claim to be, on some level, we also need to feel that we are the biggest and the best. Simple as that. That said, I don't think anyone can claim that they were that good at anything in that department in high school. It takes a few more years to perfect that skill. Therefore, "football guy " has nothing to gloat over. Don't anyone bother calling me an insecure caveman. I'll be too busy the rest of the day swinging from a vine and beating my chest. The whole time, believing my wife's sarcastic declaration that I am indeed the biggest and the best.
  9. As someone above stated, check about the reception in your area. I live in east-central Florida. Over the years and different providers and phones, I found that in the area around where I live, there's a bit of a dead area around my house. Either no bars or maybe one or two within about a one mile radius of my house, which limited my ability to take advantage of free airtime at night and weekends, especially for long distance calls. I ended up finding that my current provider, T-mobile, gives me the most reliable(but not perfect) signal coverage. Good luck.
  10. Ditto for the Europa solo. I put it first and leave the next to places blank.
  11. I used to have the rf3 and now have the rb75. No comparison musically, the rb75 is far superior. Not to mention the quality of the finish, mine are cherry.
  12. I'm using rb75 with my klf 20 klfc7 setup. Couldn't be happier. Finding a pair of klfc7 to use as rears proved to be too hard to find and cost prohiibitive in my case.

    Stepford Wives

I thought it was really lame. Of course, my wife and her friends liked it. Unfortunately, she purchased it. Oh well, another movie to throw onto the pile with Sleepless in Seattle and When Harry met Sally. I hate when I see her rumaging through that pile.

    RF-7 vs RB-75

My advice, If you're doing a sub, then go for the rb75. Possibly all the way around if possible. They're easy to place with the ported front. I recieved a pair in december to use as surrounds with klf series up front. I used them as front mains until I got around to building shelves for them in the rear. Don't be fooled by their size, they more than hold their own. As I look at it now, it seems like a waste to utilize these as rears only; which has lead me to use the 5 channel stereo mode a whole lot more.

    New Tom Petty dvd

You definitely won't regret it. One of those who few acts who seems to get better as time goes on. Not interested in simply becoming a "greatest hits nostalgia act".
