  1. Ahhh! You beat me to it! The very best.....
  2. You might need to replace your transport..... tc
  3. Who designed or worked on the KP600? thx tc
  4. I don't know what to say. Only what I listened to. Heard them in the Klipsch listening room in Hope. I should think that they would give them a fair shot in a demo. ???
  5. Another try..... Both were placed 8-10' from the wall. No corner or wall gain. The Forte sounded more subdued. Top to bottom. A little "polite" for my taste. Like a speaker that I would use in my office or bedroom. The CW was robust. Much larger sound. Tight and fast LF. Top to bottom "in your face". Can't comment on Imaging for ether. CW having a larger soundstage. Detail was nice in both speakers. tc
  6. Bill, Can't respond. Seems to disappear after a few lines........ How could that be? Is Marketing looking in ???? Just kidding. Will try later. tc
  7. It means that the CW sounded very much better to me and another forum member. tc
  8. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to A/B the Forte lll and the Cornwall lll. Speaker switching box, with the same gain on each speaker. The difference was jaw-dropping. Disregarding price, the CW lll just smoked the Forte lll IMHO tc
  9. I must think that there were a few Luxman designers left over when Alpine bought them. The "R" ands the "m" series were winners. Been running two M117's (bridged) for years. 600wpc beasts. OK, I do like head room. Pretty pricey for 1990 at $1,300 ea. Known to have a tube like sound for a big SS power amp. Had them re-capped and gone thru about 10 years ago. Now they are dedicated to LF duty with MC 100's on the top. tc
  10. I think that there is something to be said for coupling the LF to the floor. ?? Welcome
  11. The best cut IMHO tc
  12. I heard it as well. Sounds good and good price! JWC stuff is always top-notch.
  13. And that coming from a Dead Head........
  14. I have the original DBB's (side ports) and run Crites cast frame woofers. Always felt like the "thump" was what this speaker was all about. tc
  15. You should be ashamed....... but you are right, screeching owls would move in if I still had K600's on them
  16. I haven't given this much thought for a long time. But years ago it was my belief that the Heritage Sound was defined by PWK's bass bins, not the K400. To some degree some of his mid horns were designed to "fit the box". (K600-K700) Never thought that those horns would be replaced. Respect for PWK. Any takers?
  17. No Cornwall or Hersey in the Heritage Line Dean? tc
  18. No Patron. You do owe us. You owe us outstanding speaker design and you continue to do just that.
  19. The US ban is a lobby from Audio manufactures. They know that it is the cheapest upgrade on the market.
  20. "Don't give it away, Throw it away" PWK while listening to Bose speakers.
  21. Mr. Crites offers upgrades in keeping with PWK designs. If you want to upgrade / freshen your networks and have the original PWK sound, Bob is second to none.
