  1. I always believed that to be a reason why some LP's sounded so bad on a good system.
  2. Is it true ( in days of old ) that engineers used 6x9 ovals as monitors? That way they could mix music to sound best in cars? tc
  3. "Uh. no' applies to my wife. 100db peaks are loud enough for me most of the time. But at that volume my wife still gives me the old "thumbs up sign" meaning TURN IT UP.....

  8. That's too funny and oh so true. I once listened to a Jub/K402 set up. Beautiful hand built flea-power amps. Monster power supply, just killer. Passive networks with built in E/Q for the horns. Top of the line caps and inductors $$$ The LF got a bit "floppy" at volume with hard music. Insertion loss plus lack of headroom = Floppy LF. tc
