  1. monoprice has always worked for me
  2. Well I always thought the RC-7 had two sets of tapped holes - FRont and rer so you could tilt up or down. DAYUM only the rear... So no need for screw now a sI need to tilt up. But I figured it out . Little short rubber bumpers in rear - came from Cabinet drawers supply as it keeps them from slamming and less then 1/8" thick. Then my trial I stacked washers under the front with a furniture pad thingy - 1.5" tall roughly. WOrks fine - Ugly but works. So off I went to AMAZON to hunt down something to hold up the front and look like it was meant to be there. I found the below fancy door stop in the jungles of AMAZON. I will cut, sand, shave the thick rubber part to the angle I Want the speaker to be at based on height of this thing. Sticky tape it to furniture and then set speaker down on it to have it tilt up.
  3. I am re-arranging my Home Theater equipment due to new TV. I have been getting by with my RC- just sitting flat on the stereo shelves under old TV Well the new TV moves the RC-7 lower so I need to Tilt it up. I cannot find the Tilt screw! Look on Klipsch web pages and I cannot find where they sells parts like this. (It has been a while since I have visited) Does anyone know where I can purchase this screw with the glob of rubber on the end? OR What is the thread size? Metric or SAE? and I will make my own. THANKS!
  4. My story.. first pair bought klipsch direct did not work out of box... took me while to notice as I was using for music then one day decided to try noise canceling... and No difference... do support thing.. they send second pair... and Dead out of box.... kind mad now. send back get third pair... Same thing but I had a few overseas trips and no time to fart around returning so I just used them as is.. well now I have some time and started the return process again as I await my email reply and shippinf info. I am asking they actually open box and try themselves first so as not to waste my time. They can make a speaker that works out of box but not headphones. klipsch - prove me wrong PLEAAASSSSEEEEEEEE and yes I am irritated
  5. Tip: BEfore you wear them put them over back of chair to pre stretch them... works for while but they seem to have memory foam built in them as they go back and the tightness builds over time.
  6. They are tight and tend to remember tight after you store them for any period. also the noise canceling is non-existant AGAIN for mine. I am on set 3 now in 1 year and about to send it back again for ones that work. the second ones they sent me did not work out of the box. Am I asking for too much that when you tun on the noise canceling it actually makes it quieter on a plane? they sound great as headphones but I paid for noise canceling as I sleep with them on while on over seas flights
  7. Anyone put the R5650 or similar wall speakers in the ceiling for surrounds? I amthinking of using the R5650S to difuse sound so not so noticieable overhead I am being forced to due funky room and no wall for them as it is all doors on one side. rear wall where it would go has big header beam holding up second story that I am not cutting into I just want my surround sound back for movies and do not want to be looking up when some special effect sounds off in movie...
  8. Good Idea I have tons of the sticky felt ones in various sizes as I needed them for all the furniture and crap in new home. Might make it easier to move speakers around as well cause I lost annother rubber doohickey other day when I had to lean spealer over to get behind it to manipulate a wire. I loves my RF-7 but man they heavy.
  9. I have RF 7 speakers and moved into new house where they are located on tile floor. So I take the spikes off and put on those little teeny tiny bolts with the DAB of rubber on the end into the feet like manual shows.. Before I can even stand speaker up the wad of rubber goes bouncing away as dogs chase after and catch it ... lets just say I am not looking for those rubber feet anymore ... RANT ON But after further review... for such expensive speakers WTH do they CHEAP out on the feet. speakers weight 90 pounds lets use a bolt head and put a dab of bubble gum on the end - yeah that will work...that stuff will not come undone when an owner tries to manipulate his speaker next to his BIG BUTT TV without damaging one or the other. RANT OFF I see in the pics the new RF 7II have big round soft bottom hockey puck looking feet. Are these things threaded the same as the bottom of my RF 7 feet that I could buy them and screw into the feet? Do I have to go to ACE HARDWARE and find something in plumbing or is it PAINT or outdoors that will work Did you fix the feet issue and want to share w/me so I can put those paper back books back on the book shelf and get them out from underneath my SPEAKERS?
  10. Mine do ont noise cancel anymore... With no music turn them off... listen... then turn the noise canceling on... Nothing. No difference. these are brand new Chaqnge out the free battery and put in Duracell.. same same.. like they do not have Active noice Canceling as advertised...
  11. Noticed same thing.... WIth no music turning them on or off does nothing. No external sound decrease aka No noise Canceling. When playing music though, turning on does improve the sound and make it more dynamic and lively though
  12. Side Surrounds just above window. In wall klispch or ??/ Rear surround make wood structure at same height as window that would be parallel to TV screen... then mount speaker to it.. Running wires will SUX though...
  13. LSU BABY! How many times we gotta beat someone to get a Crystal FootBall?
  14. depends on ear canal shape.. I have the Image 5 and for the first month I would swap back and forth amoungts 3 different tips.. unsure which was best... and now I am down to 2 tips... I prefer the double flange when on airplanes for some reason.. I swear our body parts get bigger the longer we stay up in the pressurized planes.. Around the house I use the single flange one but sometimes I use the double if I forget to change from last flight.. point is there is now right answer as it all depends on your ears and which fits you best.. good luck
  15. Got my answer from Klipsch.. THANKS!: Repeated below for anyone else who brings too much stuff on a plane! The travel case is 5 1/2 tall(with the zipper facing up)by 3 1/2 deep, 8 1/2 long. The inside of the of the earpad is 2 1/2 tall and 1 1/2 wide.
