  1. Dean--Just having a little fun, baby. Now I'm gonna butt back out of this place and leave it to you true audiophiles for a while and go see what my fellow homeschooling moms are doing on "our" forum.
  2. Ah yes, there is a little truth in all the best lies...makes them easier to swallow. (Please note the cynicism.) Regarding the RF-7 vs Cornwall question, I truly do enjoy the RF-7s more. Honestly, I can't put into words exactly why...I think because I have a hard time separating what I'm hearing from what I'm feeling, it is an emotional concept for me rather than a logical one. That only proves I could never hold my own in a pro/con audio discussion. I just know what I like. I have to say, that the cornwalls sounded a heck of a lot better to me than than those awful DQ-10s! They hurt my ears! Though the latter were much more tolerable w/ the tube amps. I know that's like comparing apples to oranges for you guys (and carol)... Since I've been invited, I might pop in and stir things up a bit, but don't expect any reviews. All I can tell you about "the new HONK KONG 'ying yang flim flam' or whatever it was called pre-amp" is that Dean really likes it. Now whether that's because it took forever and a day to get here and he just wanted *something* besides his portable cd to listen to, or because it is truly providing quality sound to him, I cannot say. Thanks for all the kind words. BTW, if Dean's posts seem a little screwy (having my sig line and such), it seems I royally mucked up the IdealBB database by using his moniker within my own. It (db) must use the first few letters in the username field for table/data tracking. Now when poor dean tries to login, he has to use my password. Mail replies to his posts also come to my email box. I imagine the rest of his profile has been overwritten as well. Kinda takes the "two shall become one" concept a little further than intended, I think!
  3. It is interesting how a little controversy brings out both the best and the worst in people. This is really just a ruse. Dean got up this morning, snickering about this post he wanted me to come up with and post on your forum. I agreed, thinking it would be a hoot and spent some time (when I should have been taking care of my kids!) coming up with a stereotypical, yet realistic, post. I must apologize to all of you, not only to those whose feathers I ruffled, but also to those who took the time to share their compassionate words and their own experiences. I really didn't expect such passionate responses. I did open myself up to attack (should've put on my asbestos suit, huh Allan? OK, I'm going, really!), so I can hardly complain about the flames, however, I feel really bad that so many of you put so much effort into helping me understand the unique brotherhood this forum facilitates, when, in truth, I already did. Dean, on the other hand, being the sensitive type that he is, has been laughing about it all day. I hope you can take the joke in the spirit it was intended, and accept my apology for barging in on your day. *We now return to our regular programming*
  4. Wow, Allan! I bet you'll never get an ulcer! You have no trouble at all expressing your feelings, do you? I have to admit, you make a good point. I'll think on it a bit and get back with you.
  5. Craig, I actually was unaware of your phone call until your post...now he's in real trouble!
  6. Sunnysal, of course you may call me Debbie, but I must be careful not to get too friendly or I'm liable to be reeled in much like my dear Dean was. You are a friendly lot!
  7. No, this is really Mrs Dean, and like I said, I'm sorry...
  8. I'm announcing the withdrawal of deang from the Klipsch forums. It was actually deang's idea, though I imagine he expected me to do what I always do: give him so much credit for the thought that he can go on doing what he wants! It's been a long time coming. Truly. I believe I have shown the patience of a saint while deang has insisted on spending all his free time here, with you. Now I'm insisting that he spend his free time with his wife and children. I also have a theory: I believe the amount of money you all spend on these noisemakers (aka audio equipment) is directly related to the amount of time you spend on these audio forums! No offense, but it amazes me that you people can actually function at all socially when you spend so much of your time escaping from reality on these forums. Well, deang will practice escapism no more. He is returning to cold, hard reality--it is his turn to hold the screaming baby for a change! :/ Follow deang's lead and take a break. Do a few items on your honey-do list. Who knows, the Mrs might be so pleasantly surprised by the extra $ in the budget and your new-found energy, that you might actually reap some benefits. I imagine Dean will occasionally sneak back on after I've gone to bed, but my hope is that he'll come with me. Carpe Diem!
