Scott LK72-B Integrated Amplifier Kit version of the Scott 299D I have had a few of these and searched long and hard for one that had an excellent faceplate. I have owned this for a good number of years and was my primary setup. Hard to part with after I spent so much time finding and using it but need to downsize. Craig at NosValves went through it when I first bought it and did his normal magic. Checkout, Full Bias Mods, Tubes, Cap/Can changes, etc. The tubes included are the best ones I have always had in it which in my opinion made the best sound to me out of all the tubes I have tried. (4) NOS 7591 Power Tubes (1) Sylvania 5AR4 Rectifier (2) Sylvania 6GH8 Phase (2) Mullard Blackburn 12AX7 in Line (2) Telefunken 12AX7 in Phono Included is a cool wooden case/cover that a forum member constructed for me years ago which I painted black to match my speakers. It really sets off nice against the silver faceplate *SOLD* - Nice meeting you Denny... Bob

Peach fuzz has been shaved; she's home
HeritageBob replied to USNRET's topic in Technical/Restorations
No Sony ES preamps owned by me. All I have is my DA4ES which runs my living room setup and she is a keeper until I go fully HDMI and Blue Ray, etc. (I would have to hit the lottery first though). Bob -

I had it dead quiet through VRD's and into Chorus II's which are pretty sensitive before I wrapped her up to ship her out, I mean absolutely no noise at all. I just hope FedEx didnt abuse her in the shipping. Either way I will stand by and take care of any issues that I need to. I just wanted her to have a good home as I have to downsize. Bob -

Hi gang, I found I have a good bit of computer hardware pieces in the attic from upgrading through the years and have always kicked around the idea of creating a Media only PC with a gigantic hard drive to hold all of my 25 years or so of CD's I have collected. I am set on CPU/Memory/case/etc. But what I need help on is what kind of sound card should I get to have the best possible sound going into my 2 channel system. Also looking into any thoughts of a nice jukebox type program to run the whole system. Im talking easy album sorting, possible pictures displayed of the CD's cover art, maybe even used with a touchscreen monitor. I plan on putting this through my Peach and into the VRD's. So any help would be appreciated on the sound quality front. In terms of convenience and storage this would hands down be a great plan, but I really am not sure if I can get the quality out of it as say having a mid range CD player as I own now in the Sony ES player.
