5.1 Ultra - Loud Humming - Control pod or amp?

Big thanks to StPete Cooling and hopefully he still monitors this page. I replaced those two capacitors and the hum is gone. While replacing them,I noticed a resistor that looks damaged/bad. Anyone know what it is for? How to tell if it is damaged/bad and what I would need to replace it with?
