  1. Howdy fellas, I have a NAD C370 integrated amplifier (EISA amp of the year 2002). I have original boxes and remote. Was using it with rf-7's which I just recently sold. Cosmetically and functionally flawless, non-smoker, no children, etc. Class A amp/preamp, monoblock design. just a great sounding peice of solid state equipment. $400 + shipping. Product info: http://207.228.230.231/info/NAD_C370.pdf feel free to contact me with questions!
  2. THE ITEMS HAVE BEEN SOLD! i'm taking offers. I posted in another thread and thought I'd go ahead and make it official. 1 pair cherry rf-7's. only cosmetic defects are a few nicks along the back edge of one of the speakers from moving into the new house -- they are not deep (not noticable unless you walk up behind it and look for it). Grilles included with no broken pegs. Basically, aside from the nicks on the cabinet, it is safe to assume everything else is mint. non-smoker, etc etc. Local pickup is preferred. Don't have original boxes (although I do have the grille boxes). tunemanjjw@hotmail.com is my contact. additionally, i am selling an NAD C370 integrated amplifier (that i used to power the 7's) if anyone is interested.
  3. I have a pair of cherry rf-7's I want to sell. they were bought locally from an authorized dealer about a year ago. i live in raleigh, nc. if you're interested you can contact me at tunemanjjw@hotmail.com and perhaps we can work something out. the only thing wrong with this set are a few nicks on a rear edge on one set from moving. nothing deep.
  4. i have rf-7's and a problem i ran into w/the NAD T753 (it sounds GREAT!) but b/c their s/n ratio is only like 80db, and the rf-7's are so efficient, the default noise level was obnoxious...always this "psssssssssshhhhhh" ....i found myself turning it up loud to avoid being able to hear that. but other than that, the NAD receievers sounds great. no experience on the denon. the high noise level really is a buzzkill tho. you know you want silence when there's supposed to be silence. I found that jus stepping up to something w/ 10db better on s/n ratio helped a lot. hope this helps!
  5. Is anyone aware of an economical amplifier or proamp that is mono (1) channel, stable at 2 ohms, and has 2ohm output between 700 and 1200W RMS? I'm looking for one. I'm looking to do a little DIY subwoofering. I intend to do a project with a JL Audio w7 driver (3 ohms) Recommendations please!
  6. Hello guys, I apologize if this is inappropriate on this forum, but I know there are several NAD/Klipsch lovers among us and wanted to pass along the word that I am selling a 5-month old perfect condition NAD T973 7 channel flagship home theater power amplifier for $1000 + shipping. It's rated at 140x7rms with a gain control for each channel. full spec available at the NAD website http://www.nadelectronics.com/ht_amplifiers/T973_framset.htm email me/PM me if you're interested!
  7. I do not have the original all that stuff, but I do have the receipts showing date of purchase 10/08/2004 from a dealer. Of course though, I plan on spending the money to have it professionally packed and insured at the UPS store. I'm ready to sell now if you're ready to buy. I've got my heart set on acquiring a 2channel integrated NAD - no hassle and exactly what I want. I'd be happy to share a receipt or take pictures of the unit if you like. Drop me an email. Here's a link to the manual: http://207.228.230.231/info/NAD_T973.pdf
  8. I am not familiar w/the amplifiers (DBX) you refer to. I more or less plan on selling the yamaha already, and would like to just get an NAD C372 (integrated 2ch amplier) to run the rf-7's instead (in love w/the NAD sound), henceforth I wouldn't mind selling my NAD T973 (140minRMSx7 all driven simultaneously) for around $1000 to just cash out. The 200RMS i was referring to was the rating NAD gives if you only use 2 channels of the 7 at once. What sites could I consult about selling the NAD?
  9. The gains are maxed on the NAD unit. I do not know if the 50k ohm input impedance on the amp has to do with that or if the output from the YAMAHA are just weak, but either way, I am missing a ton of potential output from the amplifier (I know this for a fact b/c it doesn't get nearly as loud as my B&K avr202 (100wpc vs. 200wpc on the 973 in stereo mode) did by 5db. Combine the 5db disparity between with the fact that the NAD has at least twice the potential of the B&K i used to have (another 3db) and there's a 8db potential loss there somewhere -- a ton. $1300 authorized isn't bad for the the matching T163 preamp, but the idea was to keep it to half that or less b/c I really only need a stereo setup. Me having the T973 to begin w/is overkill. I'd be just as happy with a 2channel C372 integrated amp. Where does one go to sell nice amplifiers like the NAD T973?
  10. Ok here's the deal I am using a Yamaha RX-V800 as a preamp for a NAD T973 power amplifier (w/RF-7s) -- the problem is the Yamaha preout doesn't have enough juice to run up the T973 even when the gains are maxed out. I only use 2 ch's of the NAD (of the 7 available) and I only use it for music. I am having trouble determining what specs in a preamp I can use to determine if it will properly drive this amplifier to it's potential. Here are spec links to the Yam / NAD: NAD: http://www.nadelectronics.com/ht_amplifiers/T973_closerlook.htm Yam: http://www.yamaha.com/yec/customer/manuals/PDFs/02RX-V82.PDF Any help anyone can yield would be great. I'm looking at NAD and parasound stereo preamps to use w/the NAD amplifier, but am open to suggestions on what preamps to use if anyone has experience w/NAD amplfiers and other preamps. If anyone is selling a preamp or would want to buy the 7ch NAD from me (being that i don't even use half of it) or has NAD integrated amplifier that they'd want to trade, those may all be possibilities as well. Oh, and I'm not willing to spend that cash on the matching $2000 T163 surround preamp.
  11. I believe they will only sell you one if it is expressly for REPLACING one that you have. I believe the horn/tweeter assembly is in the ballpark of $250.
  12. For my sake, I certainly hope I don't have it in a few weeks, but that sounds great. $400 + ship, RC-7 yall
  13. U rite, the graphs are great fun. I think u should keep posting them. FYI, the room i'm in is a lil over 1/3 the size of the one described
  14. Is your room really large? not trying to trump, but I get max SPL on my rf-7's at just above 40Hz at 125db on my rat shack meter
  15. merry christmas all; $400+ shipping.
  16. O it's on there! Hoping it will pass quickly!
  17. Ok, this needs to get gone; $400 + shipping. C'mon people, this is an RC-7 we're talking about! it's really not in bad shape except the bottom which u won't see: http://ffooccuuss.100free.com/klipsch/
  18. Yeah u rite,it probably wouldn't be too much trouble to paint. In actuality though, I really just need the money; the fact is the damage isn't visible when it sits on top of my television and I never noticed it when I had it on the long table, so that never really mattered to me. I am willing to go as low as $400 for local pickup if anyone is interested! PM me if you have an offer.
  19. BATTLE DAMAGE!!! it sat on a table that had a track on it and got pushed across it while cleaning (NOT ME!) a number of times. A horrible fate for such a noble speaker. All the same, I'm trying to cash out (not much of a movies person so not much use) and I got a new semester coming up...if you're local i'd be willing to do it for $400 (Durham, nC 27707). The $500 i just estimated b/c i'm going to have it professionally packed, etc. Perfect working condition, just not as pretty as original.
  20. the surround NAD stuff has a low noise ceiling -- not a big deal with less efficient speakers, but I had to get rid of mine b/c it had too much psssshhhhh with my 7 system. the sound though was fantastic though.
