  1. If you enjoy her music then that is all that matters!! [Y][8] I agree with Russ on his points.

    Anyone seen Watchmen?

The director probably could not get enough money to do 2 movies so he had to make one. Also agree it was too long but the graphic novel had a lot in it. Kind of like the Lord of the Rings movies were too long in the theaters and way too long on the extended dvd versions. They could have made the movies even longer since they left alot of the books out. I think it is much harder to take a book or comic book and make a movie compared to writing a script for a movie.
  3. There you go again making jokes!![]
  4. I just started thinking about how much I have spent on audio over the last 6 years and I know alot of people who would think I am crazy for spending that much money. They have Ipods and such things and have spent a lot less over the 6 years. So even though the cost of the room is $200,000 it just depends on who wants it and what they are willing to pay for it. If they can sell it at these prices then more power to them and if they have the money to buy it then go for it!
  5. Here is a room for you to try out. They will have the top of the line Luxman gear($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) Plus other equipment that is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ The Luxman 240 watt monoblocks are $48,000[:S] plus the Luxman preamp is $32,000 []then add the Luxman CD/SACD player for $14,000 and of course add the Vivid Audio speakers for $54,000 [:|]of course the Brinkmann 'Balance ' turntable for around $22,000[] and to finish out the money is not object room is the $12,500 [+o(] Synergistic Research cabels and speaker wire. So this room is close to $200,000 and would like a report from someone who will give me a idea of what a $200,000 sounds like compared to what you have heard at your house and other forum members houses. They will be in Long's Peak on the Mezzanine level and is from this website http://onahighernote.com/ I just got a new job and I'm saving up to buy this rooms system[] so in 15-20 years I should have the money.[:S] Of course that is after the equipment would be used.
  6. I think the movie industry is hoping that 3D tech will help bring people back to movie theaters. With Anamation 3D can work very good but with a movie it never seems to work right. http://marketsaw.blogspot.com/
  7. I was thinking about 7.1 and where ever you have a speaker(not including a sub) put another speaker above it and then you have 14.1. Then of course that leaves the ceiling so you could put at least 6 speakers up there. Then that leaves the floor so say 2 speakers under the couch, 2 in front of your feet, and 2 more between the center channel and the 2 in front of your feet. So that would be a 26.1 ah what the hell might as well have at least two subs so 26.2 surround sound system!!! We might as well go all out if were going to do this right! That would sound incredible with some movies!! I want this as my Klipsch home theater. Link to info on the theater. http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/news/photo-gallery/behind-the-screen-details/
  8. I have not heard it yet but I bet it really does sound incredible! This seems like it will be for the very serious home theater person and not the average person who may have bought a HTITB (home theater in the box) system. Actually the HTITB systems with small easy to hang speakers would make it easy for the average person to try this 7.1 front set up. The real question is could the guys convience the girs to let them put two more speakers in the living room? The guys with their own room for home theater could try it. LOL!! I guess I need to find another pair of Fortes and stack them on top of the ones I have now.[] [] I am not doubting how good it will sound just how many people want it kind of like SACD and DVD-A.
  9. Here is the link to the HBO series "The Pacific" which should be on tv starting March 2010. http://www.pacificfans.com/trailer-videos
  10. I do watch some shows on my computer but this series is meant to be watched on at least a 50 inch tv with Blue Ray and surround sound[] !
  11. I will have to wait till it comes out on dvd which if I'm lucky will be for Christmas 2010 since I do not have cable. Oh well I have waited this long I can wait some more.
  12. The Pacific HBO companion series to Band Of Brothers. http://www.pacificfans.com/trailer-videos'>http://www.pacificfans.com/trailer-videos http://www.pacificfans.com/
  13. Also give your dog what ever treats he gets cause he earned his year supply of dog treats!!! [] [Y] This is a example of why Humans have kept dogs around for so long.
  14. I do the same thing!! Some people think a crimal would not enter your house while you are in the yard but what some people don't understand is criminals don't follow our rules.
  15. Where is it now? When I bought La Scalas(now gone [:'(] ) I got a great deal on a single La Scala in Houston so I had 3 La Scalas up front and sold the C7 about 2 years ago. Keep checking ebay, craigslist, and audiogon.
  16. I use to have mine under the tv on a shelf about 2 1/2 feet off the ground.
  17. Sorry to hear about your Mom!! Tell her I found something so she will to. Also to stay postive and let her family and friends help if she needs it. My family and friends were there for me and I really believe that everyone who is being laid off should not feel ashamed to ask for help if they need it.
  18. Hey Youthman your Home Theater looks great and glad I was able give ya a good deal on the PS3 package. Did they take anything out compared to the $399 version? Now that I have a job I might be able to get it. Then again I may wait and save more money and get the Oppo BR player. I don't have time to play games and have about 50-60 SACDs & DVD Audio. For anyone wanting the PS3 this is a good deal.
  19. I owned one for 1 1/2 years and was a great tube preamp!![Y] I used it with a pair of Wellborne Labs 2A3 Moondogs 3.5 watt SET amp and with the 100 watt amp section on a Luxman int amp with great results. I did not build this preamp but Erik Mandaville has built them along with amps from Transcendent Sound.

Found this http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=2019 http://www.slashgear.com/sonys-blu-spec-cd-is-no-blu-ray-0521496/ http://news.cnet.com/8301-13645_3-10169140-47.html I have about 55 SACDs and DVD A and I like them but the selection of albums is small and the average person does not care about quality recordings. SACD and DVD A did not do much and I doubt this will either.
  23. I do know a forum member who bought the 4310ci about two weeks ago but he said he has not had time to set it up yet. He has been putting together a serious upgrade to his speakers, JubScalas and Jub/MWMs. Once he gets it set up and running I'll tell him to email you with his thoughts on the Denon.
