I have a dilema, I am going to upgrade from a rc3 to a rc7 everythings good so far. Budget allows a second upgrade if the price is right . Fronts from rf5 to rf7 or sub from rw12 to rsw15, Opinions needed !!!
I just read an article in audio revolution about the good guys going out of bussiness, so any body in so cal thinking of buying klipsch reference speakers, may be getting good deals soon.
It actually depends on the aspect ratio of the dvd.
Anamorphic widescreen 1.85:1 will fill the whole screen.
Widescreen letterbox 2.35:1 (preserves the original theatrical version)you will get black bars top and bottom.
And regular 4.3 you will get side bars.
But with the new tv you should have aspect ratio control and you can fill the whole screen.
Tranzam01 The Good Guys are closing a few stores. The store located in Torrance has a 25% off sale on all floor samples until 9pm today. On Saturday they are having a super sale at their Long Beach store, from all the other stores that are closing. I think the sale only applies to the floor sample inventory. I hope this helps.
Iam runnig my rf5s with the denon 3802, and Iam planning to add a rotel 1075. How much of a inprovement over the 3802, A salesrep told me that I was just going sideways, Anybody running rotel with klipsch, how good is the 1075 125x5.
Does anybody know if the rf5 are going to be discontinue. I saw and ad at good guys, a pair of rf5 for $379.00 it sounds very low may be a misprint. Any body know anything.
Correct me if I am wrong, but if you use the LFE input in the sub you bypass the internal cross-over in the sub other than that every thing sounds right.
How does the entry level amps in the $1000 to $2000 price range (Rotel,B&K,ANTHEM,ADCOM ,OUTLAW ) compare to the top of the line avr from Denon, Yamaha & Pioneer.
