  1. Thanks for the reply. No option to move to a 6' hight, sliding door in the way. Sounds like some kind of angled speaker mounts is what I need, I'll take a look at parts-express for them.
  2. Whats the Threaded Insert Size for the RS-35 and the RB-25. My RS-35 (Sides) and RB-25 (rears)are about 7-8 feet up from the floor, is this OK, or should I angle them all down towards the sweet spot? Thanks
  3. The same happened to one of my speakers from shipping, my was the buckling magnet,(video shielding), all I did was try to line it up to where it was originally in place, look for ink marks, or something and reglue with 5 min expoxy or hotglue. Hope this helps..
  4. So, I just recived my new, to me, Academy center. As soon as I picked it up, I heard a loud clucking noise from inside. Once I removed the woffers, I noticed the shielding magnets fell off the back of both woffers. Whats the best type of glue to use, I was thinking either hot glue, or some sort of epoxy. What do ya think? Other than this, the speaker looks like new... Thanks I end up using hot glue, the buckling magnets were inclosed in a metal can, see picture. Easy fix.
  5. Thanks, for the quick replys. yes its just the dust cap..
  6. I've just discovered 1 of my passive radiators on back of my Forte's is pushed in a bit. Right in the middle of the speaker. Whats the best to to fix this? is it degrading the sound. I see no cracks or holes, just a dent. If I remove the speaker, can I just push it out, or is there a driver of some sort in back of the passive radiator? What about using a vacume to try to pull it out? Maybe letting some bubble gum dry up in the dent, than try to pull out? Sounds funny but will it work? I don't what to damage it any worse. Thanks With my 2 new RS35 and my Fortes my new family room really rocks. 2ch only at this time. Cant wait to upgrade the rest.
  7. Is it worth installing a inline fuse to each speaker to avoid this, say a 3A fuse. I used to do this with car auido, but what about home? Thanks
  8. So it sounds like using my Fortes as the 2 front mains is not a good idea with the rest of the speakers being the Ref. line. Ideal would be using my 2 Fortes as front mains. RC-7 or RC-35 center RS-7 or RS-35 Side surrounds RW-12 and the RCW-5 in the rear. Would this setup disapoint me? or should I retier the Fortes to the basement and get the RF5 or 7's????
  9. High, Must say I love this form, here almost every day. I've got a pair of 1985 Forte's, and was wondering how thay will match up with the RC-7 / RS-7 / RW12 / and RCW-5. Just finishing the new 17x20 HT / family room. Going Klipsch all the way around, just not sure if my old Forte's will match up OK. Thanks
