  1. Hi, there! I have just listed a pair of sm-120 horns on ebay. Please check it out if you live in USA and are interested in sm 120 horns. Thanks in advance. http://cgi.ebay.com/electro-voice-EV-SM-120-A-mid-horns_W0QQitemZ200120909410QQihZ010QQcategoryZ47092QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  2. Hi, Blues boy. http://db.audioasylum.com/cgi/m.mpl?forum=vinyl&n=172906&highlight=adc+lmf-1&r=&session= maybe someone from the Audio asylum might be able to help you.
  3. Thank you, William, for your reply. My friend owns a club in Japan. Since he has Khorn and loves the sound, he got interested in MCM 1900 and considering to get them for his store. I have checked your post about MCM1900 and told my friend. Now he understand the catalogue was wrong. anyway, thank you very much.
  4. my friend saw the japanese catalogue of MCM 1900. it was categorized as corner floar standing speaker. and he is wondering if it's true since they don't look like. If it's so, how do they supposed to use corner? I'll appreciate any info about this.
  5. Hi, my friend is looking for info for MCM 1900 bt. I saw past topics and found some info, but I still don't know what "bt" means. Could anyone tell me what "bt" indicates? best regards
  6. Thank you, mikebse2a3! Mounting size is very helpful thank you, again!
  7. I would like to know the throat size of K-55-V. Is it one inch?
  8. Thank you for your reply, ALK,sounddog and hwatkins. I see. I can change crossover networks first, and I also could change just horn if I chose 511. I would like to ask another question. I learned that 511 is designed crossing at 500hz and 811 is designed crossing at 800hz. Then, how about tweeter? Should I also consider about the crosover network bitween tweeter and squaker? best regards,
  9. Thank you, Mr. Al K. I missunderstood. I'm relieved to hear that... I got a point about the crossover network. If I want to replace horn, I need to replace both horn and crossover network at the same time, not one by one because of frequency of horn. anyway, I should study about speaker before modifying speakers. Thank you, again.
  10. It sounds that my stupid question irritates you. I'm sorry about that. I got interested in a plan of changing squaker horn as I read many people mentioned in this forum. But changing both crossover network and horn at the same time takes time and money. I thought, if I could change just cross over network first, it wouldn't take time at least. Then, I wanted to know If I can change little by little. Because of my ignorance and poor english, I might irritate you. I'm sorry again.
  11. Thank you, Mr. ALK. I read your posts before. I have a question about crossover network. You recommended to use crossover network at around 750hz with La Scala's or Belle's bass bin and Altec 811B, if I remeber correctly. Even if I use K-400 in my La Scala, do you think it's still good to use 750hz crossover networks? I'm interested in it because I don't feel that the connection between bass sound and mid sound is natural, compared with my friend's khorn. I hope my question is understandabl.
  12. This might be a stupid question. I have read some articles about replacing K-400 with Altec 811B. Do people use K-55 or other drivers with 811? If K-55 is used with 811, how do you install to 811?
  13. does anyone know good shipping company for crating and shipping a pair of la scala from Johnson City, TN to New York N.Y. I got a pair of la scala from e-bay. however, the seller has no idea to crate or package them. I checked e-quote on craters and freighers, but they don't have pick up service at the area. please help me!!! I'll appreciate it.
  14. Thank you for your information. I understand That there is no big difference between K-33 and K-43 in La Scala. am I right? by the way, Is the sensitivity of LSI same as home version, 104db? because I'm using handmade tube amplifiers, they don't have so much power it's about 10W. ---------------- On 12/13/2003 11:30:32 AM John Albright wrote: I would NOT replace a working K-43 with a K-33. If Both K-43s have failed and you are short of money, then 2 new K-33s will cost a little more than reconing the K-43s, but they will be new. If you are using the La Scalas in a home or studio setting subistuting K-33s will be O.K., but you will not gain any performance advantage. The K-43 is a teeny bit more efficient than the K-33. A K-43 in a K-horn gives up some deep bass, but does not in a La Scala. If you are using the speakers in a club or sound reinforcement setting, you will want K-43s for their 250 watt rating (2.5x the K-33). ----------------
  15. I'm just curious about la scala industrial version. then, I checked this forum and found that people recommended to replace K-43 with K-33. I would like to know how difficult it is. I have never built speakers. thank you in advance
