  1. Ive been a little interested in hearing some reviews of this sub myself, but cant seem to get much info on it. Some say its good, others say it sucks. To each his own. I dont have a sub yet and dont want to spend a fortune on one at this time. Another factor for me is living in a Condo, I wouldnt be able to play too much bass most of the time, dont want to disturb the neighbors. I havent heard the sub yet myself, but I find it interesting that it goes down to 20Hz which some more expensive brands dont go down that far. Im wondering if this would be a decent sub to fill in the lower octaves my KG 3.2's cant pick up. I wouldnt be playing the sub the hard keep in mind!
  2. its kinda funny where this thread is going. Started out asking about the sound quality of a so called digital amp, not whether or not a digital amp is truly digital. Or how a digital amp functions. Anyhow I'd like to hear your thoughts on DIGITAL Cable! LOL
  3. Heres a car amp on the crutchfield website that claims to be digital? Its the BLAUPUNKT PA2100 check out this excerpt from their description. Tripath Class "T" Amplifier Design: Class "T" digital amplifier design combines the high fidelity sound reproduction of class "AB" amplifiers with the low heat dissipation benefits typically found in class "D" amplifiers. Although class "D" amplifiers generate little heat, they are almost exclusively used as subwoofer amps, because they are not known for high fidelity, full range sound reproduction. Class "AB" amplifiers generate much more heat than class "T" and class "D" amplifiers, so large heat sinks are needed for cooling. The class "T" design allows this amplifier to be made smaller than class "AB" amplifiers of a similar power rating, without the sound quality sacrifice that comes with a class "D" design If these arent really digital Im thinking I can probably sue Klipsch and Blaupunkt for false advertisement! DJK would you be willing to come to court as my resident expert on AMPS?
  4. I guess all theses company's claiming they use digital amps need to rewrite their descriptions, heres one on the RSW-15 straight from the Klipsch site: Powered by a high-output BASH® "digital" high-efficiency hybrid amplifier, the drivers deliver earthshaking sound without detail-robbing distortion. The RSW-15 is available in only a 120 volt version and comes in furniture-grade blond maple, medium cherry or jet ash wood veneers DJK maybe you should let Klipsch know there is no such thing as a digital amp yet, so they can correct this description.
  5. whats the average price for a rsw-12? I found a RW-12 for $459 at http://www.acousticsounddesign.com/core/view_BigProduct.cfm?pid=908&sc=28
  6. I just recently found out about the KLF line of speakers. And noticed the KLF-10 has 2 10" drivers similar to the KG 5.5. Im wondering how much of a difference is there between the two? Sound wise and price comparison. Also is there a noticable sounding difference in the step up to a 3 way KLF-20 from a 2 way KLF-10?
  7. No opinions or comments about the RECEIVER? Come on guys does it sound like a nice receiver for the money or would you stay away from KENWOODS?
  8. Come on guys no thoughts or comments?
  9. I was wondering what you guys think about the new Kenwood VR 7070A with THX select certification for $500. Seems like a steal to me, nice power rating also. Anyone have this receiver or any experiences with Kenwoods you would like to share? Just wondering if its too good to be true

  11. A human cant hear under 64Hz?? I thought the hearing range of humans was 20-20,000? Least thats what I always Heard?
  12. The panasonics are One Piece RPTV's you cant separate it into 2 pieces!
  13. im not sure what the RC-3 dimensions are but my SC-1 sits on it just fine
  14. I own a Panasonic 47wx49, basically the same as the 47wx53 just doesnt have the screen protector on it, which videophiles dont like because of the glare it can cause. If you dont have kids I'd try to find a 47wx49 if I were you. You just dont want to have people touching your screen thats all. Anyhow the TV is one piece, and I think the 47" is plenty for a 12x12 room, mine is in a 13x14 and I wouldnt want anything bigger in there. You'll want to leave some room for the home theater equipment and speakers not to mention a place to sit! lol Plus youll get a better picture off standard viewing material with a little distance between you and the screen. I have to say I love my set, Ofcourse I upgrade from a 25" bottom of the line set, so its been a huge difference for me. One piece of advice about RPTV's dont expect the picture to be perfect out of the box your going to have to spend some time setting it up, doing the convergence and tweaking the picture. Here's a good site to get info and tweaks about panasonic RPTV's http://panny.tv/
  15. Hey Ric if your thinking of upgrading your receiver maybe you should try out the NEW ONKYO take a look at this BEAST! http://www.highfidelityreview.com/news/news.asp?newsnumber=13874086 I bet you could get a little bass outta that!
