Well, when the issue was occurring flight after flight, on different airlines, ... I knew it was more than a fault airplane port. All plane I have flown are single plugs. Having to tape down the middle inline button was crazy and as I attempt to fin other ways, the headphone broke. So, it doesn't really help much at this point in time since I don;t have them anymore although I am sure I am still paying from them through BestBuy. Any other brands that may work better in airplanes anyone? The inline isn't all that important as I use it mostly for air travel. Thanks Steve

OK, soooo frustrating! I purchased the S4i in the summer and have used a lot on airplanes. I had always thought it was an airplane port issue... until the same issue was happening on each plane! When you plug the jack in all the way the sound is discernible. You have to back it out and "Balance" it to try and get proper sound. I finally realized it was the headphones when I incidentally pushed the center button on the volume control of the headphone and vioa! So I have been taping the button down just to use them on airplanes. What a pain... and then finally broke the jack with frustration when trying to get it to work. Is this a known issue? I never experienced this with my previous S4 or Custom 3.

I just thought I would provide an update... I purchased the C3's. Still playing a bit to find the right sizes, but I think I am large in right and med in left. I thought the mention of two sizes earlier was kind of wacky, but low and be hold...! I found the double seal tips inserted too deeply. Now to try them out on a run... haven't had time in two weeks with work, work, school and family!

hey Thump... It certainly does(n't)... LOL [:S] So my best choices are.... C3, or X10 or X5.... oh the delema! Maybe I will start w/C1's and if they fit well gift them and graduate to C3. If not, return them and move on to X5/1. Thanks Thump!!!

Thump, I am really interested in Klipsch headphones (already a Klipsch home theatre owner/fan), but with Custom (3,2,1), Image (X10, X5), and now the S (4, 2)...I am a little confused which one to order. I wish retailers carried these so I could try and buy. I trust they will all provide great sound, so my primary criteria (after the competitive disapointment) will be: 1) Secure fit Exercising (Primarily running) w/moderate to heavy sweat 1) Comfort fit during extended use (ie. 5-8+ hour flights) 2) Proper design for full frequency reception 3) Audio Quality (Realizing most Klipsch will acheive this) Any suggestions?

I puchased a in canal set from another manufacturer (that is what brought me back here) and it sounds OK, but nor great. it lacked the full range and nice deep clear base. I purchased them because they are sweat/waterp proof and had some decent reviews. When I played with them a bit i foundthey delivered great performance when I manually positioned them to the driver was aimed forward. My conclusion was that it was the design of the headphones and they way the "aimed" the sound. My stethoscope goes in my ears aimed forward (and down slightly) for best sound, why not these headphones? Is this a true assessment of the competitive headphones Thump? I notice the Klipsch are forward aiming, is that part of the "proper" design, like my stethoscope? How about the Image series, will the "aim" in the canal properly if that is the issue with the others? Thanks Steve

Thanks Wuzzer and Youthman. This is just the family room. The home theatre room in the basement will be a little more ergonomically correct. So, I just want to make sure this is the best of all worlds, looks and A/V. Steve

Here are a couple of more: I guess I am limited to the pivoting style on-wall speakers then. I really liked the Totem Tribe series, but the are more of the flat mount box style. An ideas on the BG directional ribbon? I have an great option on the BG17i.I am not a big fan of the Klipsch on-wall esthetics. Thanks Steve

Here is a picture of our wall mounted LCD TV. I am not sure if it is too high... HELP? What do you guys think? It is just sitting on the mount for now and cable terminations have not been complete. I am not sure if I should bring it down a bit??? Right now the bottom bezel sits 11 inches about the Mantle and 61" from the floor. The middle of the screen is at 75-1/2 from the floor. This was done to leave enough room for a centre channel below the screen. It feels high, and the bulkhead above the TV makes it feel like it is closer to the ceiling then it really is. Should the TV be moved down and centre channel mounted above the TV (at approx 82-86") ???? Feedback is appreciated. Thanks Steve

I have been looking at a few choices for on-wall speakers as we are joining the 21's century today when we pick-up our new 52" LCD TV (Sharp Aquos) . It will be mounted on the wall above our fireplace mantle, but I am having a hard time deciding on speakers to go with it. It looks like we will be going with the Integra DTR-7.9 or 8.9 more then likely. I currently have the Reference 35 set-up (RB-35, RC-35, RS-35 and RW-12). I have it down to the following, and some input into the best match would be greatly appreciated. RXV-42 for LCR (Keeping RS35 & RW12) - Most cost effective, but will I be happy with the sound? Best match wirh RS-35? XL-23 for LCR (Keeping RS35 & RW12) - A lot more expensive the RVX-42. Is the sound 3 times as good and worth the $$$? Monitor Audio (Sell all Klipsch to offset cost) - Nicest looking of the three options, and sizeis perfect for the panel. Oh the delema!? Suggestions?

The 8.9 and 9.9 look good! The primarty feature I am looking for (my search started Friday) is a minimum of 3 zones, with Independant HD Video out to Zone 2 It looks like the 8.9 and the 9.9 have this feature... can anyone confirm that the zones run HD independant source to 2 HD Zones (Zone 1 being HDMI and Zone 2 being Component). OK, I am pumped now and can't wait to get a pair! I just want to understand something first... So, two drivers is better then one... but the Image has very next to best sound quality as expected from custom 3's, and the image is a single driver. Where does that put the custom 2's with their dual driver offering? Sorry, the watter is a bit muddy for me on that one. Also, what is best for working out and physical activity? Will the image stay on place? Thanks Steve

OK, I am in need of some real help here. Browsing the MFG websites hasn;t really gotten me anywhere... so what better place to turn then the Klipsch forums. I am looking for one of the following solutions... AVR - 3 Zone with TWO Zones having HD Video, independantly controlled, and a third zone for audio only. The reasoning is that our house is wired in a home run fashion and the AVR will be in the basement with the source equipment and pre-wiring to 2 HD viewing locations and 1 audio location. I would like the ability to run ONE PVR/DVR into the AVR, viewable in two locations. (ie. record a viedo and watch in either Z1 or Z2... or pause in one location and continue in the second). - Zone 1 will be 5.1 with the HD video - Zone 2 will be pre-out audio (to the TV) and HD Video. - Zone 3 will be 2.1 Only OR HD DVR Satellite Receiver - 2 Zone/Tuner Independant HD Out. This would allow the flexibility as above and be much more economical. Then a 2 Zone (1 AV + 1 A) would be all that would be needed in a AVR. Thoughts? Suggestions?
