[For Sale Onix XCD-88 HDCD Player]

Up for sale is a used Onix CD player that is also capable of playing HDCD encoded CDs.

I have had this unit for about 8 years and it sounds very nice. It is all stock although others have found upgrades to be made if you desire. It gets very little play in my system so I need to move on and let someone else enjoy it. I accept PayPal plus shipping via either US Postal Service or UPS your choice or if your are nearby Louisville, KY we can make something else work as well.

It has the original box, remote, power cord, manual, and generic RCA cable it came with.

If I do not get a sale here I will place it on Ebay at a later date.

[have you ever noticed]

I have been noticing this for years. They had many models with these daytime lights and I figure since they are on full time vs. just at night they burn out. Many people seem to run around with daytime and night time lights out either way. Some states have yearly safety inspections and these things are more controlled.

I also think those tires stink. I bought a used 2005 F250 truck a few years ago and the factory Perellis had 24,000 miles and them and were shot, By 30,000 they were coming apart. I bought my usual Michelin tires at about 850 a set and now 80,000 miles later they are still showing about 10,000 miles of wear left. Expensive tires but worth it after those many miles.

I have listened to both and the RC35 is a fuller sound. The one I purchased had an issue that made it muffled. I returned it to my local dealer and an exhange was made for another unit that sounds fine. We tried both of them back to back and one just sounded off and dialogue was hard to make out. I believe most of the issues with the sound were some units with an internal problem. The first one I had was a little older in build date than the second one. Fall 2003 vs. Winter 2003 if I remember correctly.

I would get the RC35 due to larger drivers as long as you don't get one with the problem mine had.
