  1. I have a nos valves stereo amp and one of the sockets is noisy.
  2. I am a computer numpty..... I have a NOS Valves based system and spin a lot of vinyl. But there are many times where I don’t plan on ‘activly’ listening. I was getting to my digital library via an early apple airport that had analog outputs. These are no longer available. What is the simple solution?
  3. Crites Cornscala D’s built by Bob. Located in South Haven Mi. Pick up only. $850
  4. Absolutely no offense expressed, implied or taken. With the 350b's I was using sylvania tubes with no numbers on them, maybe 313's to use as the rectifiers. So I don't need to swap those out when trying different power tubes?
  5. I've been running 350b's for years and thought I'd try something different. I turned down the bias, installed the kt88's and GZ34's powered up and one or both of the gz34's, after about 30 seconds, flashed and the fuse blew. I also have a set of 6550's. If I want to try those, what is the proper rectifier?
  6. This discussion reminded me of the story of a press guy asking Jimi Hendirx what it's like to be the worlds greatest guitarist and Jimi replied," I don't know. Why don't you go and ask Rory Gallagher."
  7. I couldn't put it down! I don't know what that says about me. There's a lot of geeky info in there that most 'normal' people just don't, or want to understand.
  8. Scoutmaster with Grado Reference Sonata. Rockin' good time!
  9. I always thought it came from Spinal Tap. Mines better 'cause it goes to eleven, or something like that.
  10. I haven't received the goods yet, but I just wanted to thank Neil for taking this on. It's a lot of personal time, money and aggravation.
