  1. What i would like to see from klipcsh is a way to buy speakers form them direct. ( i don't like middlemen adds to my cost) either from the internet (prefered by me) and/or their own stores. I would also like them to post their MSRP's again. I miss being able to look up online a rough price i would have to save for and if dealers are attemping to rip me off (which of course would be sloved if i could get them directly fomr klipsch. Lastly a trade in program like magnepan would be nice. Get up to the full value for the speakers theat you have as a tradein towards a new purchase when upgrading.

I was saying that because of this when i tried to go to goodguys website. here is the link http://www.goodguys.com/mega.htm. And i saw that you are in texas. I did not even pay any attention to where he said about frisco. Goodguys sold klipsch reference series. You could even look at their prices of online, of course not being able to order them unless they were being delieved near their stores. What might be the case though is these stores on the west coast are the only places that actually have them instore, but you can go to any comp usa and order them. That is outstanding. Klipsch reference in main steam. [][<)][Y]
  3. jascott wrote the following post at 05-19-2006 8:00 AM: CompUSA is actually a Klipsch dealer now. They do handle the reference line, but don't stock the IV series yet. I did order a pair of RF-83 and RC-64 from them and they arrived direct from klipsch in about 1 week. I suspect they could order the Heritage line, but haven't asked about it. Speak w/ Michael or Phillip at the Frisco store. From what i understand that is only the case in certain areas on the west cosat, because they bought out goodguys, or something like that.
  4. for the setup you have the rw-12 is the one that is suggested by klipsch (not the rsw-12) and that one is in your price range. As far as SVS I have heard lots of good things from people about them. But i don't know much about either brand of subs as far as personal experience.
  5. I have had very good luck on ebay. You just have to know what your looking for. Timing is everything also. You have to constantly look and hope you hit the jack pot. I usually only deal with "buy now".
  6. I don't think that will be large enough. I would go with RF-62, RC-62, RS-52, RW-12 klipsh suggested setup, I think that will fit within that budget and still have room left over for a hal way decent reciever. Check you nearest dealer to find out.
  7. Check out the dealer locator on this website, and give those places a call to see if they have one.
  8. dantfmly: Hey, are back in the states right now? If so, welcome Home! How's the old "Nav" treating you? I am certain that someday you will achieve your goals, man. I just know it! I hope your family is well. Thanks. -Glenn Yes I have been back in the states now for about 2 months. It is great to be back with my family. I am also so greatful not to have to listen to the promedia speakers I have anymore. I get to listen to the real thing now, with real meadia not stupid mp3's or wma's. Music to my ears. [] Maybe someday I will have a cool website like yours, instead of a little dinky website that I have (because its free). [] I am doing a lot of fixing the house up now adding hard wood floors all the down stairs, Which surprisingly improved the sound quality [:^)] especially in the bass. I will have to update my website and my avatar to reflect the new look for the home theater. the ugly pink carpet is gone now. The Navy is Treating me great I am in a new job now since I am back a big promotion to. To bad I just missed making the chiefs board this time around. [:'(] oh well try again next year. I am getting ready to transfer in nine months, staying at Oceana here though. Going to be an instuctor. Just moving across the street pretty much. My wife is from here in Virginia Beach, so I am trying to stay Stationed in the Hamton Roads area until I retire from the navy in the next 7 years. Man I can't wait. Don't get me wrong the Navy is not that bad, but I can't stand the time away from my family for long periods. It just sucks not seeing my wife and kid for months at a time. Well I will see you around take care. -Jeremiah
  9. Hey man, it has been a while. Congrats on making the magazine. I hope that someday after many years, I will be able to do the same with my house. See you around.
  10. SoundBroker wrote the following post at 04-26-2006 11:06 PM: Since your speakers don't suck, I'd upgrade the sub and the reciever, the two weakest points. You should be able to get some decent $$ for your RW-12 and a bit on your reciever...enough to spend $$ on a Hsu Labs VTF-3 MK II subwoofer, a BFD, a good solid reciever and a few Acoustic panels. That should make a pretty SUBstantial difference to your already excellent speakers. Next step would be more acoustics, followed by upgraded speakers. PM me on the Sub. My thoughts exactly. Reciever/seperates first. Your speakers are already good but the amp needs to be upgraded for sure. and then your sub if you have any other money to work with.
  11. What do you need a speaker like that for when you have 7 series?
  12. efzauner wrote the following post at 04-27-2006 8:54 AM: First, is it this for a 5.1 system? If so , according to the Dolby surround manual, they should go on the side walls. Nobody seemed to mention that. I have seen to many installations with surrounds on the rear walls because people simply did not know better! You don't "have" to put them on the side walls you can put them on the rear also. That is just a recommendation. It is all a matter of preference. On top of that my manual recommends for them to be on the rear walls. so it all depends on what manual a person looks at also.
  13. There weren't in wall surrounds for the KLF series. Heck there weren't any surrounds made for them at all. Klipsch suggested using the KSP-S6's (from senergy premier series) for surrounds for the KLF series.
