  1. A single in Black Ash... Looks to be in great shape. https://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/ele/d/plano-klipsch-forte-iii/6962862215.html Not affiliated with the sale.
  2. Don't see these often... Two drivers ($175 & $135), one looks to be excellent, and one passive radiator ($75). Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Not affiliated with the sale. https://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/ele/d/argyle-klipsch-rsw-15-subwoofer-driver/6964492085.html https://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/ele/d/argyle-klipsch-rsw-15-subwoofer-driver/6964494596.html https://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/ele/d/argyle-klipsch-rsw-15-passive-radiator/6964496032.html

  5. Thanks Mark I appreciate it... I had my first surgery 12 years ago and have been through 2 separate fusions. 5 surgeries total, with 3 in the last 18 months. I'm not much better from a pain standpoint, but I no longer have any metal in my body. Tony
  6. I had 3 pair of LaScalas last year... Sold a pair when I sold and moved out of my house last April. I have 2 pair left which are for sale here. I only have one pair of cane grilles which go with the 2002 LaScalas. Not looking to sell the grilles separately at this point. But I may do that later (depending on offers) if there's no interest in keeping them with the speakers.
  7. Hello all... haven't been on in a long while. Hate to do it but I need to sell my LaScalas. Medical/living expenses and not having any health insurance have forced my hand. I've got 2 pair available. Here is the link to: My other pair... 1999 Birch Raw This pair are 2002 Birch Lacquered with the AL-4 crossover and black grilles. This version is also Bi-amp/Bi-wire capable and has a separate input panel on the back that can accept banana plugs. There is also a factory pair of cane grilles that were purchased by the original owner. All original drivers and no changes to the crossovers. I do have the original boxes for this pair. Serial Numbers: LSBL3 - 02510001 & 0002 I purchased these from the original owner here in the DFW area and have had them about 10 years. This is a VERY nice pair in close to, if not mint condtion. I'd say they are easily 9/9.5 with sharp corners. The top, sides and all external surfaces are silky smooth and have no nicks or visible scratches. They are a very nice blond color and have always been kept out of the sun. The installed black grilles are in excellent condition and the Klipsch badges are flat and intact. The other pair of factory cane grilles are still brand new and have never been installed. These were in my 5 channel, all LaScala system, that I had in my home. And they were used as the front left/right channels in that system. Unfortunately they've been sitting in the back of my apartment for the last year collecting "LaScala dust". I'm asking $1600, but if someone was interested in buying both pair, I'd be willing to knock 8-10% or so off the price. Cash is king, but I do have a PayPal account (plus fees) if that would be better for you. These are local pickup only. And I'm in a 2nd story apartment right now, so you'd need a two wheeler and some help to get them down the stairs. Though with notice I can probably get my brother over here to help move them. I'm located in Mansfield, Texas... zip 76063. If you have any questions, please let me know... Thanks, Tony

I've got 2 pair available. Here is the link to: My other pair... 2002 Birch Lacquered This pair are 1999 Birch Raw with the AL-3 crossover and brown grilles. All original drivers and no changes to the crossovers. No boxes. Serial Numbers: LSBR18 - 99440001 & 0002 According to the previous owner (I'm the 3rd owner), the mid-horn's had some type of silver foil backed damping applied to them (visible in the photos). And they may have had a very light coat of clear lacquer applied to them (they don't feel raw, but they're not as silky smooth as my other factory lacquered pair). Whether they were lacquered or not, they have a nice reddish/blond patina. But they have not gotten any darker since I bought them. General condition I'd say is an 8/8.5 with good corners. But there are a few nicks/scratches here and there. The grilles are in excellent condition and the Klipsch badges are flat and intact. I've had them quite awhile and they were bought here in the DFW area. This pair was in my 5 channel, all LaScala system, that I had in my home. They were rotated in/out of the center channel position every year or so. But they've been sitting in the back of my apartment for the last year collecting "LaScala dust". I'm asking $1100, but if someone was interested in buying both pair, I'd be willing to knock 8-10% or so off the price. 12. I could go for that as well... That would be more of a KLF update though. Call it a KLF-50!
  13. I'm always up late... I already have more Klipsch than I have room for anyway. BUT, if they were to bring out a Chorus III, I wouldn't be able to resist.
  14. Not being in Texas has nothing to do with it. The way it's run and operated has everything to do with it. Just look at some of the inductees... Being in Cleveland doesn't help it though. Klipsch would get a much better return on their investment by putting their money just about anywhere else.
  15. Drones are regulated by the FAA and whether they are being used for recreational or commercial purposes, they should be registered with the FAA... That makes them an "aircraft" and shooting one down or assaulting the drone operator is against the law and a federal crime. And as long as they are following the airspace rules, safety guidelines and within line of site, it would appear that flying over your house or property is perfectly legal. https://www.faa.gov/uas/ https://www.faa.gov/uas/faqs/ https://www.faa.gov/uas/where_to_fly/ https://www.forbes.com/sites/johngoglia/2016/04/13/faa-confirms-shooting-drone-federal-crime-so-when-will-us-prosecute/#4c103f82a25a https://www.justice.gov/usam/criminal-resource-manual-2-aircraft-sabotage-18-usc-32
  16. None of the "Shop Now" buttons are working yet... Wonder how much longer?
  17. The'd be better off spending that money elsewhere... The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame is a joke as far as I'm concerned.
  18. For jumpers, just use a short piece of speaker wire. You should be able to unscrew the spikes and remove them. The bolt is fairly standard thread and you can probably find a (non-spiked) screw in replacement at Home Depot or similar store. jacksonbart is one of the many post whores on the site and he never offers anything but nonsensical crap to those asking honest questions.
  19. No affiliation... One very nice looking Cornwall in walnut oil... https://dallas.craigslist.org/mdf/ele/6147156761.html
  20. For reference... I've owned both Forte I and Forte II (and Chorus II and Quartets as well)... And loved them all! But it's been a long time since I had a chance to listen to any of them (I own LaScalas now), so my opinion is based on my memories at this point. For me the Tractrix midrange in the Forte II and Chorus II was a huge step up from the exponential midrange in Forte I. And from what I briefly heard from the Forte III, the new mumps Tractrix is more of an incremental improvement. It still has that great, smooth midrange, with just a bit bigger/deeper soundstage. The bass did seem to be better (more solid) and a bit deeper... again compared to my memories of the Forte II. But that could be the room as well. Though, as my pictures show, they were well away from the corner and the walls. So my guess is the slightly bigger cabinet allowed them to tune it just a bit lower. Overall, I'd say that anyone who buys a pair won't be disappointed. And even with the increased cost they would probably still be the best thing (dollar for dollar) Klipsch makes for home music use. Unless they make a Chorus III... And compared to a Heresy II, they would be a huge step up the ladder. Just don't listen to any of the big heritage (Khorns or LaScalas) before you make your final decision to purchase.
  21. That's the RF-7 II next to the Forte III. No RF-7 III's were available and I believe from the information that was provided at CES that they won't be out until late in the year (Fall). The Forte III sounded great... Smooth, warm, dynamic. They made a point of mentioning that there was no subwoofer being used during the demo. And based on what I heard it probably doesn't need one for most music.
  22. For what it's worth... While we were listening to them in the sound room, we were told that they would be available at the "end of June". This information came from the engineer running the demo. Also, the riser height is a bit shorter to account for the the sleight increase in cabinet height... and the corresponding slight increase in cabinet volume.
  23. If ordering new and no subwoofer... wait for the Forte III. Or buy a used pair of Chorus II or Forte II and save yourself a ton of money.
  24. The specs are still out there in a web archive page... https://web.archive.org/web/20120920022816/http://www.klipsch.com:80/kv-4
  25. Staying on Stevie Ray Vaughan... His band "Double Trouble" often included three players, who were they and what did they play?
